Abstract

Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) is a plant with great potential as a fuel source that can be developed in Indonesia. The oil content of nyamplung seeds is 60-75%. This study aims to optimize the process of extracting oil from nyamplung seeds using hexane solvent at various operating conditions and obtain optimum extraction operating conditions. In the process stage, extraction will be carried out using hexane solvent with several operating variations, namely extraction temperature (35-45oC); extraction time (4-6 hours); stirring speed (200-600 rpm), the process of optimizing oil extraction from nyamplung seeds was carried out using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The oil obtained was then characterized through several analyzes, namely yield, acid number, density and viscosity. Based on the research results, optimization of the nyamplung seed oil extraction process resulted in an oil yield of 52.43% which was obtained at 40oC, 5 hours of extraction time and 500 rpm of stirrer speed. Optimization with the aim of maximizing the oil yield response was obtained 55.33% yield at 45oC, 6 hours extraction time and 600 rpm stirrer speed. Optimization of each oil quality does not produce a significant model response. The quality of the oil resulting from the optimization of the yield is an acid number of 10.51 mgKOH/g, a density of 0.94 g/ml, and a viscosity of 4.47 cP.Keywords: calophyllum, oil, optimization, response surface methodology

Abstract

Strengthening learning methods through Edmodo, in this activity the first thing offered in the PKM (Community Partnership Program) activity is a program of utilizing information and communication technology in online learning. Online learning used in PKM uses the Edmodo application. Learning using Edmodo makes it easier for teachers and students to interact for the purpose of exchanging information and skills that the teacher possesses. Edmodo is a safe learning platform for teachers, students and schools based on social media. Edmodo provides a safe and easy way for the class to connect and collaborate, share content and access work, grades and school notifications. Our goal is to help educators and teachers harness the power of social media to tailor classrooms for each student. The second is to offer a training program and mentoring in email creation and the operationalization of Edmodo applications that are related to knowledge and skills of educators and students in online learning enviroments. The output of this program include (1) the use of appropriate information technology, namely ,by using the edmodo application, (2) skills in online learning, and (3) making online learning fun and engaging.

Abstract

Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) telah menerjunkan mahasiswa di sekolah Muhammadiyah 1 Rambipuji untuk mengenal pengelolaan administrasi sekolah. Pendampingan pengenalan administrasi sekolah penting sekali bagi calon guru karena kerjasama antara staf dan guru dalam proses belajar mengajar sangat dibutuhkan. Selain itu pengenalan administrasi untuk mencapai tujuan Pendidikan dan meningkatkan kualitas generasi pendidik. Tinggi rendahnya mutu Pendidikan sekolah tidak lepas dari potensi tenaga pendidik

Abstract

Bank Syariah Indonesia adalah salah satu lembaga keuangan bersifat bank yang dimiliki oleh BUMN. Bank Syariah Indonesia adalah gabungan atau marger dari tiga lembaga bank Syariah besar milik BUMN yaitu PT. Bank Mandiri Syariah, PT. BRI Syariah dan PT. BNI Syariah yang diresmikan pada tanggal 01 Februari tahun 2021. Keberadaan BSI masih sangat tergolong singkat, akan tetapi perkembangannya sangat signifikan. Tujuan marger dari tiga bank ini adalah. Pertama, Mendorong bank Syariah untuk berkembang menjadi lembaga yang lebih besar dan bersaing dipasar global. Kedua, agar lebih efisien dalam konteks penggalangan dana, operasional, belanja dan lainnya. Ketiga, Memaksimalkan permodalan, sehingga Bank Syariah Indonesia mampu memasuki proyek-proyek pembiayaan yang berskala besar dengan tujuan kemaslahatan yang luas, tujuan akhir pelaksanaan merger ini adalah untuk menjadikan Bank Syariah Indonesia dapat tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi bank BUMN yang sejajar dengan bank BUMN lainnya, sehingga bermanfaat dalam segi kebijakan, transformasi dan lainnya. Keberadaan dan tujuan dari BSI berbanding terbalik dengan keadaan dilapangan, masih banyak masyarakat khususnya kalangan muda yang masih belum mengetahui keberadaan serta tujuan dari BSI tersebut, maka dari itu perlu kiranya untuk banyak memberikan edukasi, sosialisasi serta informasi kepada masyarakat khususnya kalangan muda agar mereka memahami akan keberadaan, manfaat serta produk-produk yang dimiliki oleh BSI. Rencana kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah melakukan sosialisasi dan edukasi pada masyarakat, khususnya kalangan generasi muda para siswa-siswi Madrasah Aliyah At-Taqwa desa Suren, kecamatan Ledokombo, kabupaten Jember. Abstract

Recognition of Islamic boarding schools shows a stronger existence with updates and changes to the system, also supported by government policies with the term mu’adalah. The level of learning independence that was the potential of the mu’adalah Islamic boarding school students was the result of the construction of a comprehensive learning implementation system. The totality from the planning stage to implementation was a reflection of the quality of learning in mu’adalah Islamic boarding schools. The transformation and modernization of the mu’adalah Islamic boarding school were marked by the quality assurance of teaching staff starting from the aspects of qualifications and competencies aligned with government policies. The embodiment of the quality of learning mu’adalah was competence. The reflection of this description forms the basis that the purpose of this study was to look comprehensively at the quality of learning in the mu’adalah Islamic boarding school. This research took place at the Baitul Arqom mu’adalah Islamic boarding school and used a qualitative approach with the main respondents being ustadz, students, and boarding school administrators. The results of the study showed the quality of learning at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School due to the evaluation of the implementation of the learning process in stages from weekly to the end of each semester. As for the evaluation of student learning, written tests, oral tests, and practice were carried out consistently with original assessments.

Abstract

Mosquitoes are insects that carry many diseases to humans, such as Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) and Malaria. This disease is prone to outbreaks in tropical or subtropical regions, especially during the rainy season. In puddles, mosquitoes can lay eggs and breed, causing a mosquito population explosion. This is very dangerous, mainly if it occurs in a community residential area. Therefore, efforts are needed to prevent the development of mosquito breeding, in addition to maintaining a clean environment and ensuring that there is no stagnant water. Steps are required to protect yourself from mosquito attacks, which can be done by using repellents or mosquito repellents. The materials used must also be natural and not use hazardous chemicals that can damage the environment or cause health problems. One is using the lemongrass plant, which contains citronellol and geraniol. This activity aims to provide information on the manufacture of mosquito repellent spray from lemongrass for the community. Anti-mosquito sprays do not harm the skin or health and are easy to make for the public.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Imaji Academy program as strengthening student character education. The research method used descriptive qualitative. Research data collection was done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study followed three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study found that the Imaji Academy program at MI Darussalam 02 Jember is manifested in three feature classes, namely, literacy feature class, sociopreneur feature class, and cultural arts feature class. Meanwhile, the agricultural class has been formulated but has not been implemented. Dominant character values ​​of the three feature classes consist of religious, gotong royong, and cultural arts values that strengthen students' character. The indicator was several works produced by students collectively. Based on the study's results, the researcher suggests strengthening the implementation of feature classes, mainly feature classes that have not been implemented. This study also suggests the importance of schools building collaboration with the community to strengthen student character education sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Uswatun Hasanah method in shaping the character of the 8th grade students of Mts Imam Syafii Genteng Banyuwangi who have good morals. In this study the subjects were grade 8 students, totaling 25 students, all of whom were boys. In this study, the researchers designed using PTK (Classroom Action Research) with 4 stages, namely (1) Planning (2) Implementation (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. For data collection techniques, here researchers use evaluation or tests. There is an increase in the percentage of student completeness that occurs in the results of research on students' moral character. This can be seen in the actions from cycle I to cycle II which showed an increase. Because in Cycle I the results achieved were 32% of students who achieved good and very good indicators, the remaining 68% were still in sufficient and insufficient. Whereas in Cycle II it increased to 92% of students on good and very good indicators, and the remaining 8% were on less indicators. This research has been able to improve the character of akhlakul karimah in grade 8 students of MTs Imam Syafii Genteng Banyuwangi Regency.

Abstract

Education and character have great contact because the two are interdependent. There is some news regarding the waning value of character education in students, therefore the need for good character education. the focus of this research is (1) How are the values ​​of Kh. Ahmad dahlan in improving the Spiritual Intelligence of Jember Muhammadiyah Vocational High School students? (2) What are the Values ​​of Character Education Kh. Ahmad dahlan in improving the Social Intelligence of Jember Muhammadiyah Vocational High School students?. This study used a qualitative-descriptive approach at SMK Muhammadiyah Jember. Data collection procedures used observation, interviews, documentation with a total of 5 technical informants. The analysis included data categorization, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. As well as data validity using credibility. The results obtained from this study are (1) There is a Habituation of Character Education Values ​​Kh. Ahmad dahlan in improving the Spiritual Intelligence of students at SMK Muhammadiyah Jember Namely Religiosity namely Dhuha Prayer, Nationalism namely Commemorating Religious Holidays, Honest namely IstiqomahDuha prayer, Integrity namely Consistent upholding noble values. (2) There is habituation of Kh Character Education Values. Ahmad dahlan in improving the Spiritual Intelligence of students at the Muhammadiyah Jember Vocational School, namely Religiosity, namely Praying for sick friends, Nationalism, namely participating in the flag ceremony, Honest, namely Students not smoke at Integrity schools, namely Students wearing complete uniforms.
