Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write persuasive texts for class VIII junior high school students through the use of image media. The instrument used in this study was a performance test of writing persuasive text. The assessment taken in writing the text is based on the structure and linguistic rules contained in the persuasion text, namely the existence of opinions or arguments, facts, and invitation sentences. Then students write persuasive texts using image media. This research is a type of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research data was obtained from the students' ability to write persuasive texts. The research subjects were students of class VIIIF as many as 30 students. Analysis of the data used in this study is the result of student work.The results showed that the ability to write persuasive texts using image media in every aspect got a score above the average. In the aspect of writing arguments, the score is 84, the ability to write facts is 89, and the value of the ability to write invitations is 85. The conclusions of this study indicate that the ability to write persuasive texts for class VIIIF students is in the capable category with an average score of 86. of the overall results of the assessed aspects.

Abstract

The teacher has an important role in learning activities, one of which is evaluating learning activities. The purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of teachers in developing teaching materials for writing fantasy stories. This study uses a development research model that refers to the Thiagaragan 4D model with limitations in the first stage or the definition stage and the moted used is a descriptive qualitative method. The source of the research data was a junior high school Indonesian teacher in Jambi. Data collection techniques by distributing online questionnaires, interviews, and online FGDs were then analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the needs analysis research on fantasy story material in the independent curriculum, it is less attractive, so material development is needed so that it can form students' writing competence by prioritizing local wisdom. This research is expected to be an evaluation material for teachers to develop teaching materials that are contextual with the conditions of students. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetengahkan hasil penelitian kualitatif terhadap pengalaman guru bahasa Indonesia di Jambi dalam membuat RPP kurikulum merdeka belajar dan kesiapan guru dalam menyongsong kebijakan merdeka belajar. Jenis penelitian ini ialah kualitatif, sedangkan partisipan penelitian ini adalah 3 orang guru bahasa Indonesia yang saat ini menjadi guru SMP di Jambi. Dari 3 partisipan, 2 guru di antaranya 2 guru SMP kota Jambi, 1 guru SMA Kota Jambi. Dengan menerapkan desain penelitian studi kasus, data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap 3 guru bahasa Indonesia SMP yang berasal dari lintas angkatan, yang secara suka rela menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dapat ditunjukkan bahwa pengalaman mendasar yang dihadapi guru dalam menyusun RPP mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia lebih dominan mengarah pada kemampuan guru dalam mengenal karakteristik dan kemampuan siswa. Dari hasil-hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkanybahwa guru memiliki kemandiran dalam menyusun dan meimplementasikan RPP dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kaidah-kaidah kesantunan berbahasa siswa pada diskusi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah berdasarkan teori Robin Lakoff yang meliputi tiga kaidah, yaitu kaidah formalitas, kaidah ketidaktegasan atau pilihan, serta kaidah persamaan dan kesekawanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan analisis data rekaman yang telah penulis lakukan, ditemukan data tuturan guru dengan kaidah formalitas sebanyak 41 tuturan. 21 tuturan yang mematuhi dan 20 tuturan yang melanggar kaidah formalitas, sedangkan tuturan siswa ditemukan sebanyak 121 tuturan. 54 tuturan siswa yang mematuhi dan 67 tuturan yang melanggar kaidah formalitas. Kaidah pilihan dan kaidah persamaan tidak ditemukan data pada tuturan guru. Pada tuturan siswa ditemukan sebanyak 24 tuturan dengan kaidah pilihan. Sebanyak 3 tuturan yang mematuhi dan 21 tuturan yang melanggar kaidah pilihan. Selanjutnya, ditemukan data sebanyak 22 tuturan yang berkaitan dengan kaidah persamaan. Sebantak 12 tuturan yang mematuhi dan 10 tuturan yang melanggar kaidah persamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of problem-based learning models in writing persuasive texts in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 18 Tanjab Timur. This research was conducted at East Tanjab 18 Public Middle School. The data sources in this study were Indonesian language teachers and eighth grade students. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. the data used in this study is the application of a problem-based learning model carried out by the teacher when teaching accompanied by photographs that support the acquisition of information for research purposes. data collection techniques in this study by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of problem-based learning models in writing persuasive texts in class VIII of SMP Negeri 18 Tanjab Timur has been carried out with the final assignment in the form of writing persuasive texts whose theme is taken from problems that exist in the environment around students. on the implementation of the problem-based learning model on persuasive text material divided into two meetings. at the first meeting two steps of the problem-based learning model were carried out, namely the orientation of students on problems and organizing students to learn, at the second meeting three steps of the problem-based learning model were carried out, namely guiding group learning, presenting results, and evaluating the process. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of the problem-based learning model in writing persuasive texts in class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Tanjab Timur as a whole is well implemented in accordance with the steps of the problem-based learning model proposed by Priyatni (2014: 114) and also according to the lesson plan made by the teacher.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the application of design thinking in differentiated learning of content (material), process, and student learning products in Indonesian language learning in the Teacher Professional Education program. This research uses qualitative methods with case study studies. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies while the participants are field experience students of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program in Jambi city high schools. The data analysis technique uses Milles & Huberman's interactive model, carried out with activities (during data collection), simplifying data (data reduction), presenting data (data display) and drawing conclusions (making conclusions). The results of the study illustrate that the competence of Indonesian language teachers is able to carry out differentiated learning using the design thinking approach through activities: (a) empathy treatment to form a maximum understanding of students (ermpathize), (b) formulate learning objectives with the concept of define, (c) formulate ideas in learning, (d) develop prototypes in learning, and (e) evaluate the teaching module. The implementation of differentiated learning involves interconnected, continuous, and interacting steps, forming a process that includes diagnostic assessment, curriculum analysis, evaluation of learner diagnostic results, and curriculum analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creative thinking skills in writing pantun texts by means of media images. This type of research is qualitative research conducted by describing and elaborating case studies found in the field. The subject of this research is 30 students in class VII of a Islamic Junior High School in Jambi and one of the Indonesian language teachers. Data collection techniques in this study were observation interviews and documentation. Analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative research methods. The findings were analyzed and then described descriptively. The questionnaire instrument was used to assess students' writing results in the form of pantun texts. The pantun text is assessed based on predetermined instrument indicators. This instrument makes it easier to determine the suitability of the pantun form that is made. The results obtained in this study, the implementation of pantun learning is carried out based on the teaching modules in the independent curriculum. The creative process is carried out in the form of displaying various images which obtain the final result that students find it easier to find creative vocabulary. The learning process is carried out based on the initial competency components, learning objectives, meaningful understanding, triggering questions, teaching preparation, and assessment. The creative process in writing rhymes in class This is done by observing the display of images on the projector screen and observing the pictures in reading books. Thus students can write rhymes with a variety of creative vocabulary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan media sosial, khususnya Facebook, sebagai sarana pengembangan literasi tulis pada Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Kabupaten Tebo. Fokus utama penelitian adalah meningkatkan motivasi menulis, memahami transformasi gaya bahasa, dan mengatasi tantangan literasi digital yang dihadapi komunitas ini. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi interaksi daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fitur interaktif Facebook, seperti unggahan status dan diskusi grup, mampu meningkatkan motivasi menulis melalui apresiasi berupa likes dan komentar. Lingkungan komunitas daring yang inklusif juga membantu anggota membangun kepercayaan diri dan rasa kebersamaan. Dalam konteks transformasi gaya bahasa, penggunaan media sosial memunculkan bentuk komunikasi yang lebih santai dan campuran, mengintegrasikan bahasa lokal dengan elemen modern seperti emoji. Namun, tantangan utama berupa keterbatasan akses internet dan perangkat digital, serta kesulitan menjaga autentisitas budaya lokal dalam komunikasi daring, menjadi hambatan signifikan.Penelitian ini merekomendasikan strategi berbasis kearifan lokal, seperti memanfaatkan media sosial untuk mempromosikan cerita rakyat dan tradisi budaya, dengan menggunakan konten visual yang menarik untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan komunitas. Dengan dukungan pelatihan literasi digital dan pendekatan berbasis budaya, media sosial dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam pengembangan literasi tulis sekaligus pelestarian identitas budaya SAD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan asesmen diagnostik pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) di MTs Mahdaliyah Kota Jambi. Asesmen diagnostik, yang terdiri dari aspek kognitif dan non-kognitif, digunakan untuk memetakan kemampuan awal siswa dan kondisi psikologis serta sosial-emosional mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melibatkan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen diagnostik efektif dalam mengidentifikasi pemahaman siswa sebelum memulai pembelajaran serta membantu guru merancang strategi yang sesuai. Model PjBL diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, mendorong siswa untuk aktif dan terlibat dalam proyek nyata, seperti menulis puisi berdasarkan observasi objek. Meskipun penerapan kurikulum Merdeka masih dalam tahap uji coba, asesmen diagnostik membantu menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih terarah dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Namun, penekanan pada kesenangan belajar harus tetap diimbangi dengan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang jelas.
