Abstract

Anemia is one of the global health issues. There was an increase in the prevalence of anemia in the 15 24 age group from 2014 to 2018, rising from 18.4% to 32%. Anemia in adolescents impacts concentration ability, immunity, cognitive function, and poses risks such as giving birth to low birth weight (LBW) babies and stunting. This study aims to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Menstrual Cycle with the incidence of anemia in adolescents. The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 60 individuals, with sample collection conducted using the total sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the chi-square statistical test. The study showed that almost all adolescent girls with anemia had abnormal BMI (96.4%) and abnormal menstrual cycles (75.9%). Statistical tests revealed a significant relationship between anemia and BMI (P-value=0.001) and menstrual cycle (P-value=0.001) among adolescent girls. There is a significant relationship between BMI and menstrual cycle with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. BMI and menstrual cycle are factors contributing to anemia, thus requiring interventions targeting nutritional status and menstrual health among adolescent girls by raising awareness and promoting the habit of consuming healthy and balanced nutritious food.

Abstract

Objective: A clean, tidy classroom with adequate lighting and a cool, stable temperature will encourage students to focus and feel comfortable during the learning process. Room temperatures that are too hot or too cold can disrupt concentration, cause drowsiness, and even cause physical discomfort, which ultimately reduces learning effectiveness. Managing room temperature through good ventilation or optimal use of air conditioning is important. Additionally, a pleasant classroom environment—characterized by positive teacher-student relationships, the use of interactive learning methods, and a supportive emotional atmosphere—is essential. Method: The Waterfall Method is one of the linear and sequential methods used in system or project development. This method includes the initial observation and coordination stage, scheduling of AC cleaning activities, AC cleaning implementation, counseling and education, monitoring and evaluation, which must be completed before proceeding to the next stage, like a waterfall. Results: The classroom AC cleaning program has proven to have a positive impact on air quality and the comfort of the teaching and learning process. Comprehensive AC unit cleaning successfully reduced dust and dirt that could potentially harm the health of students and teachers. Novelty: Observations and questionnaires showed an increase in learning comfort and awareness of the importance of regular AC maintenance. The educational activities conducted also successfully fostered knowledge and awareness among teachers, staff, and students about the importance of maintaining a clean learning environment. This program is expected to serve as the first step in establishing a culture of regular school facility maintenance as a preventive measure to safeguard the health of school community members.

Abstract

Boarding school systems have great potential in creating a conducive environment that supports Arabic language proficiency. However, reality shows that the learning process often faces various obstacles, both from the students, educators, curriculum, and boarding school culture. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying and analyzing the challenges of Arabic language learning in educational institutions. The research employed a qualitative design, which involves detailing or elaborating on data obtained directly through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research instrument utilized interview guidelines, and the results were processed using the Atlas. The data was then analyzed and the results presented narratively. The findings of this study indicate that the challenges in Arabic language learning include differences in students' Arabic reading and writing abilities within the same class, the length of exposure to Arabic in previous schools, and low student interest. Therefore, the solutions implemented include grouping students according to their abilities, using engaging teaching methods, and regularly organizing Arabic camps

Abstract

East Java is still facing nutritional and child health problems. It is important for society, especially young mothers, to realize how important the nutritional needs of children are. This is because a child's nutritional condition directly affects their physical and mental growth and development. From an early age, it is important to monitor the child's development regularly. In an effort to obtain high-quality human resources, this is done. The growth of the golden period, or golden age, occurs during the first five years of a child's life. Monitoring development from an early stage is crucial to obtaining the right information to provide the right stimulation and nutrition. In the service of this community, we use the method of measuring the nutritional status of young people at Aisyiyah Kempantren Sidoarjo. We used anthropometric standards of weight based on age (Body fat/age) and height based upon age (Height/age), as defined by the WHO. The results showed that 91.89% (68 people out of 74 young people) had good nutritional status, and 8.11% of 6) had better nutritional/obesity status. Teachers and parents are advised to pay more attention to student nutrition so that they can get good nutrition for student health
