Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X MAN Peusangan  pada pokok bahasan gerak vertikal. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel penelitian adalah cluster random sampling sehinga terpilih dua kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrument hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh  bahwa hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, dibuktikan dengan hasil postes kelas eksperimen 84 sedangkan kelas kontrol 78 dan  berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan bahwa  thitung > ttabel  dengan nilai  3,03 > 1,67, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima. Hal ini berarti penerapan model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan model Konvensional  sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: Model Scientific Inquiry, Hasil Belajar, Gerak Vertikal

Abstract

Rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa dan aktivitas guru yang jarang menerapkan media pembelajaran dan kurang tepatnya strategi yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran merupakan salah satu masalah yang mendasar di SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa; 2) aktivitas guru dan siswa; 3) respon siswa melalui penerapan model kooperatif learning menggunakan media PhET pada materi fluida statis di SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA4 SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan yaitu 29 siswa pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes, observasi, angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) penerapan model kooperatif tipe dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada setiap siklusnya. Siklus I 45%, siklus II 77%, dan siklus III 95%; 2) aktivitas guru pada siklus I 78%, siklus II 81% dan siklus III 90%, sedangkan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I 73%, siklus II 76%, dan siklus III 88%; dan 3) respon siswa melalui media animasi. Kata kunci: Model kooperatif tipe STAD, kemampuan kognitif, media PhET

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' understanding of concepts in the material of momentum and impulses using research-based learning (RBL) models. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were students of class XI of SMA 3 Bireuen, the subjects in this study were students of class XI2 of SMA 3 Bireuen as many as 30 students. The results of this study indicate that 30 students in class XI2. 53.3% of students in the category understood the concept, 20% students in the guessing category and 26.7% students in the don't understand the category. This shows students will better understand the concepts of momentum and impulses by using research-based learning models.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that is applied by all educational institutions today. The use of appropriate media can support student effectiveness in education, especially in applied physics courses. This study aims to see online learning's effectiveness using quizizz educational media during the covid-19 pandemic in applied physics courses. This research uses a descriptive research method. The population in this study were students of the Almuslim University Physics Education Study Program. The sample selection used a purposive sampling method, namely students who were taking applied physics lectures. The data collection techniques used were tests (quizzes) and questionnaires. This study indicates that quizizz educational game media is one of the most effective online learning media used during the Covid-19 pandemic in applied physics courses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding the concepts and critical thinking skills of physics students in online learning using a virtual laboratory. This study uses a causal associative relationship between variables. The subjects in this study consisted of 40 students from Muslim universities and Medan state universities who were programming physics laboratory courses. The sample collection technique uses random sample sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to determine student responses to online learning using a virtual laboratory and student worksheets (LKM) to measure students' understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that online learning using virtual laboratories affects students 'understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills, with a significant value of understanding concepts and students' critical thinking skills of 0.000 <0.05, the correlation value of understanding concepts 81% and critical thinking skills of 84%. is in the very good category, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between online learning using a virtual laboratory on students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Peranan guru dalam proses pembelajaran masih sangat dominan walaupun sebagian dari mereka telah berupaya untuk menjadi fasilitator di samping sebagai sumber informasi. Namun, guru dituntut untuk bisa memberikan kemudahan bagi para siswa dalam proses pembelajaran yang mudah dipahami dan menyenangkan. Oleh sebab itu, pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan harus sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Pemanfaatan barang bekas dan peralatan sederhana sebagai media bukanlah hal yang baru dalam dunia pendidikan. Siswa SMP Negeri 2. Makmur memanfaatkan botol bekas sebagai media pembelajaran yang dipakai kemudian dikaitkan dengan materi yang sedang dipelajari. Adanya kegiatan PKM berupa pelatihan pemanfaatan botol bekas sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi bunyi di SMP Negeri 2. Makmur dapat membantu siswa tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi pribadi yang kritis, kreatif, mandiri dan peduli terhadap lingkungannya, menambah wawasan guru dan siswa dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas dan peralatan sederhana sebagai media pembelajaran, serta guru diharapkan dapat mengembangkan berbagai alternatif media sederhana yang kreatif dan berkesinambungan.

Abstract

This research aims to produce an ethnics-based science story media to foster understanding of scientific concepts and attitudes, especially on a material equilibrium of rigid bodies. This type of research is one group pretest and posttest design. The results of this study indicate that the N-gain understanding of concepts in the experimental class (g = 0.69) is higher than the control class (g = 0.08), as well as the results of the analysis of scientific attitudes of students in the experimental class (g = 0.73) higher than the control class (g = 0.08). Also, there was a significant difference in the average test results of students' understanding of concepts and scientific attitudes (p <0.05) between the experimental class and the control class. The conclusion is the use of ethnics-based science story media can improve students' understanding of scientific concepts and attitudes.Keywords: ethnics, scientific attitude, science story, understanding of concepts   DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v8.n1.202005

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa SMA 3 Bireuen pada materi fluida. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, terpilih dua kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain two group pretes-postes design. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: model pembelajaran advance organizer menggunakan macromedia flash dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa sehingga hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan data analisis siswa perolehan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol adalah 73,33 dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 80,00. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa terjadi peningkatan dengan model advance organizer menggunakan Macromedia Flash.Kata kunci: Advance Organizer, Macromedia Flash, Pemahaman Konsep Abstract. This study aims to improve the understanding of the concept of Bireuen 3 High School students on fluid material. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental type of research. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling, two classes are selected as the experimental and control classes. The research sample consisted of 2 classes chosen randomly by cluster random sampling technique. The research design uses two group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study are: advance organizer learning models using macromedia flash can improve student understanding of concepts so that student learning outcomes improve. This is evidenced by the students' analysis of the acquisition of the average value of the posttest score of the control class is 73.33 and the average posttest score of the experimental class is 80,00. Abstract

The purpose of research to analyse: the science process skills that are taught in a model of scientific inquiry using the media PhET better than students taught by learning direct instruction, science process skills of physics students who has the critical thinking skills using a model of scientific inquiry than average -rata better than students who have critical thinking skills using a direct model of instruction above average, the interaction of scientific inquiry learning model using PhET media with critical thinking skills of students in improving students' science process skills. This research is quasi experimental. Technique that used to gain a sample is random cluster sampling. The instrument used is the science process skills test and test critical thinking skills. The results of this study concluded that: the science process skills of students who are taught by the model of scientific inquiry using the media PhET better than students taught by learning direct instruction, science process skills of physics students who have the critical thinking skills using a model of scientific inquiry over average better than students who have critical thinking skills using a direct model of instruction above average, there is interaction scientific inquiry model using the media PhET with critical thinking skills of students in improving students' science process skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Guru merupakan salah satu komponen yang sangat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di abad 21 ini. Oleh karena itu, sangat diperlukan adanya kegiatan mengenai pengembangan kualitas guru dalam menghadapi proses pembelajaran abad 21 khususnya pada kemampuan literasi. Literasi merupakan kemampuan dan keterampilan individu dalam membaca, menulis, berbicara, menghitung dan memecahkan masalah pada tingkat keahlian tertentu yang diperlukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan manfaat kepada kepada guru-guru dalam mengimplentasikan literasi dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khusunya pada kemampuan literasi. Adapun pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan dengan tahapan-tahapannya yaitu: persiapan, sosialisasi, pengenalan jenis-jenis literasi, pelatihan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung di MTsS Tanjong Beuridi yang bertindak sebagai mitra. Kegiatan di ikuti oleh 11 orang guru di sekolah tersebut. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk melihat ketercapaian kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, hasilnya diperoleh rata-rata 91,44% artinya pelaksanaan pengabdian sesuai dengan perencanaan serta mendapat apresiasi yang baik dari peserta yaitu guru MTsS Tanjong Beuridi. Abstract: Teachers are one of the most influential components in improving the quality of learning in the 21st century. Therefore, it is very necessary to have activities regarding the development of teacher quality in facing the 21st century learning process, especially in literacy skills. Literacy is an individual's ability and skill in reading, writing, speaking, calculating and solving problems at a certain level of expertise needed in everyday life. The purpose of this service activity was to provide benefits to teachers in implementing literacy in the learning process so that the teachers can improve student learning outcomes, especially in literacy skills. This service activity was carried out by using a training method with the stages, namely: preparation, socialization, introduction to the types of literacy, training and evaluation. The service activity took place at MTsS Tanjong Beuridi as school partnership. The activity was attended by 11 teachers of the school. The evaluation was carried out to see the achievement of the activities. The results of this service activity obtained an average of 91.44% which meant that the implementation of the service activity run as planned and received a good appreciation from the teacher of MTsS Tanjong Beuridi as participants.
