Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan hasil belajar siswa Kurikulum Merdeka pada pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain ex-post facto dan teknik random sampling sehingga sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas IV SD Swasta Kristen BNKP Lahewa sebanyak 33 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sampel uji berpasangan t-test ditemukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil ujian tengah semester ganjil (penerapan Kurikulum 2013) dan hasil ujian tengah semester semester genap (penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka) pada siswa. siswa kelas IV pendidikan Pancasila.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning Terintegrasi STEM dalam meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik sekolah dasar. Banyaknya peserta didik sekolah dasar yang memiliki kemampuan literasi sains yang rendah, menjadi alasan pemilihan topik ini. Literasi sains menjadi sangat penting di abad ke-21, peserta didik diharapkan berhasil dalam dunia yang semakin didorong oleh kemajuan teknologi. Hipotesis yang digunakan adalah hipotesis komparatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini mengemukakan bagaimana model pembelajaran PjBL terintegrasi STEM menjadi pilihan yang tepat dalam meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik sekolah dasar. Hasil hipotesis penelitian menunjukkan nilai Sig. < 0,05 maka hipotesis alternatif diterima, dengan demikian model PjBL terintegrasi STEM menjadi model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk diterapkan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel sebanyak 56 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner untuk mengukur variabel motivasi dan minat belajar, sedangkan uji prestasi belajar PKn digunakan untuk mengukur variabel prestasi belajar. Dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrument. Analisis persyaratan yang dilakukan antara lain uji normalitas, linearitas, multikolinieritas dan heterokedastisitas. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-F menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar PKn, sedangkan motivasi belajar tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan minat belajar siswa dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar PKn mereka.

Abstract

This article contains the influence of learning facilities and family environment on the learning motivation of science students in class VI elementary school. This research aims to determine (1) the influence of learning facilities on the learning motivation of science students in grade VI elementary schools, (2) the influence of the family environment on the learning motivation of science students in grade VI elementary schools, (3) the influence of learning facilities and the learning environment simultaneously on motivation studying science students in class VI elementary school. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research, with a research sample of 78 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The results of the research (1) there is a significant influence between learning facilities and learning motivation with a significance value of 0.004, (2) there is a significant influence between the family environment on learning motivation with a significance value of 0.000, (3) there is a simultaneous influence of learning facilities and the family environment towards learning motivation with a significance value of 0.000,

Abstract

Machine learning has paved the way for research focused on improving learners' learning experiences and helping to address challenges faced by the education system. ML technologies analyze data to recognize patterns and use them to make predictions. This research introduces ML models that classify and predict learners' academic success by utilizing ML algorithms such as random forest, support vector machines, gradient boosting, decision tree, logistic regression, Extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), and deep learning. This research aims to predict students' academic success based on historical data and identify key factors that affect students' academic success. Thus, the proposed approach offers a solution to predict learners' academic performance efficiently and accurately by comparing several ML models with Deep Learning models. The results show that Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) can predict students' academic performance with 97.12% accuracy. In addition, the results of this study indicate the presence of significant social and demographic features that affect the academic success of these participants. The study concludes that the application of ML algorithms in the classroom will help educators identify gaps in student learning and enable early detection of underperforming students, thus empowering educators in decision-making.

Abstract

Stunting exerts detrimental effects on health, growth and development, and economic outcomes. These adverse impacts encompass elevated risks of morbidity and mortality, cognitive and language delays, and increased healthcare expenditures. Given these significant consequences, stunting has become a global health priority. This cross-sectional study investigates the influence of maternal height and exclusive breastfeeding practices on the incidence of stunting among children under five years of age in Gunungsitoli City. Conducted from February to April 2024, the study initially included 375 children aged 12–59 months. Due to specific inclusion criteria, the final sample comprised 63 participants selected through purposive sampling. The independent variables analyzed were maternal height and exclusive breastfeeding, with stunting incidence serving as the dependent variable. Data collection employed five questionnaires, and maternal height was measured using a stadiometer. Statistical analyses, including univariate analysis and chi-square tests, were performed using SPSS version 25.0 to explore associations between the variables. The results revealed that most mothers had an elementary school education (34.85%), exhibited normal height (63.64%), and the majority of children were exclusively breastfed (60.61%). Statistical analysis demonstrated a significant association between maternal height and stunting incidence (p=0.026), indicating that children born to shorter mothers were at higher risk of stunting. Furthermore, a significant association was found between exclusive breastfeeding practices and stunting incidence (p=0.003), with children who were not exclusively breastfed having a 3.94 times greater odds of experiencing stunting. This study concludes that maternal height and exclusive breastfeeding practices are crucial factors influencing the incidence of stunting in children.

Abstract

To examine the effect of sensory integration on the academic achievement of elementary school students. This study was conducted on 151 elementary students in grades I to III in elementary schools in Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra Province, using the sensory integration development rating scale. The development of students’ sensory integration ability was relatively stable in early elementary school and there were significant gender differences (F = 6.632, p = 0.01); sensory integration ability explained 16.9% of the variance in students’ academic achievement and 27.8% of the variance in girls' academic achievement; the learning ability dimension of sensory integration ability significantly affected students’ academic achievement (p = 0.005). The proprioceptive dimension (p = 0.012) had a significant effect on girls' academic achievement. There were gender differences in the performance of sensory integration skills between male and female elementary school students in grades I to III and the effect on academic achievement

Abstract

Spatial abilities are essential to individual life and development, but gender differences in these abilities, especially in multimedia learning, are of concern. This research aims to examine the influence of gender and type of multimedia on learning outcomes in Natural Sciences (IPA) while still controlling for the influence of spatial abilities. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research sample consisted of 164 students. Data were collected through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) techniques using SPSS software. Data analysis was conducted using the MANCOVA technique to test the influence of the independent variables (gender and type of multimedia) on the dependent variable (science learning outcomes) by controlling spatial ability as a covariate. Spatial ability has an overall significant influence on science learning outcomes. Boys consistently performed better than girls in all learning tasks, regardless of multimedia type. Girls also tend to prefer 3D learning media to understand science concepts. This research provides empirical evidence about the separate gender effects of spatial ability when learning using 2D static learning multimedia and 3D animation. The implication is that educational policymakers can pay attention to differences in gender preferences when choosing multimedia learning types to increase the effectiveness of science learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan kemajuan teknologi sudah menjadi suatu keharusan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman saat ini. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) merupakan terobosan baru dalam pembelajaran yang meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan Liveworksheet berbasis TPACK terhadap motivasi belajar dan berpikir kritis peserta didik sekolah dasar. Pendekatan kualitatif dipilih dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik Fase C SD Negeri 070995 Hiligodu Tanoseo. Keabsahan data dipastikan melalui triangulasi sumber, waktu, dan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Liveworksheet berbasis TPACK berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap motivasi dan berpikir kritis peserta didik sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran sains. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penerapan lembar kerja berbasis TPACK dalam pembelajaran sains dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan memperkuat berpikir kritis peserta didik. Pendekatan ini dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan pendidikan sains di sekolah dasar.
