Abstract

The Pathok Negoro Mosque is one of the mosques that plays an important role in maintaining the religious understanding of the surrounding community. This mosque is a cultural heritage protected by the Yogyakarta government. In the month of Ramadhan (Posonan) this mosque has a religious tradition in the form of a yellow book study filled by local scholars who are scheduled every afternoon and evening. Therefore, this research needs to be carried out to explore the Posonan religious tradition in the Pathok Negoro Mlangi Mosque and its influence on religious understanding in the surrounding community. This research includes descriptive qualitative with a historical approach to reveal the content of the object under study. Posonan religious traditions at the Pathok Negoro Mlangi Mosque have influenced the mad’u in community that increasing the spirit of increasing worship, the spirit of studying, and the spirit of having Islamic character as well as strengthening social ties and a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of Buya Hamka’s educational thought in addressing the challenges of the digital era. The rapid advancement of technology has shifted the direction of education to become more technical and pragmatic, often neglecting the moral and spiritual dimensions that are, in fact, the core of true education. In this context, Buya Hamka’s ideas are considered highly relevant as they offer solutions grounded in universal Islamic values. This study focuses on key educational principles emphasized by Hamka, such as the strengthening of spirituality, the cultivation of noble character, guided intellectual freedom, the balance between worldly and spiritual life, and the vital role of teacher exemplarity in the educational process. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach, analyzing Hamka’s major works such as Falsafah Hidup and Tasawuf Modern, alongside relevant academic references. The findings indicate that Hamka’s educational ideas remain highly relevant and can serve as a philosophical foundation for building meaningful, value-oriented, and contextually responsive educational systems in the face of digitalization.

Abstract

Abstract One of the purposes behind the revelation of the Qur'an is to serve as a guiding light for humanity. However, the content of the Qur'an, including its verses and passages, often possesses a universal nature, necessitating specialized expertise in interpreting it through various methodologies, among which is the maudhu'i interpretation. The term "patience," as an illustration, is prominently present in numerous verses of the Qur'an, expressed in diverse linguistic forms. This term is frequently associated with other concepts such as 'iffah (self-restraint), hilm (forbearance), qana'ah (contentment), and zuhud (asceticism). Beyond these facets, patience embodies a disposition of embracing all provisions from God, encompassing both favorable and unfavorable circumstances. Even in the realm of blessings that originate from the divine, a sense of patience is indispensable, mirroring the patience demonstrated in acts of devotion. For instance, when an individual diligently engages in acts of worship like prayer and fasting, the essence of patience extends to persistently upholding these acts, notwithstanding the array of temptations that might undermine one's commitment. Keyword: Patient, Interpretation, Maudhu’i Abstrak Salah satu sebab diturunkannya al-Qur’an adalah sebagai petunjuk bagi umat manusia. Akan tetapi, ayat dan surat yang terkandung di dalam al-Qur’an adakalanya bersifat global, sehingga dibutuhkanlah keahlian dari menafsirkan al-Qur’an dengan berbagai metode, salah satunya dengan tafsir maudhu’i. Kata sabar dalam al-Qur’an contohnya, terdapat banyak dalam ayat-ayat al-Qur’an dalam berbagai bentuk kata. Kata sabar juga sering diidentifikasikan sama dengan kata ‘iffah, hilm, qana’ah dan zuhud. Terlepas dari semua itu, sabar merupakan sikap menerima semua ketentuan Allah, baik itu ketentuan baik maupun ketentuan buruk. Karena dalam hal baik yang dikaruniakan Allah pun kita juga harus bersabar, seperti halnya sabar dalam ketaatan. Ketika seseorang sudah berbuat taat dalam beribadah, contohnya dalam shalat dan berpuasa, maka konsep sabar yang harus dilaksanakan adalah senantiasa berupaya untuk konsisten dalam menjaga ketaatan tersebut, meskipun terdapat berbagai macam godaan yang akan melemahkan taatnya seseorang tersebut. Abstract

The codification of hadith in early Islam has received limited attention as a foundational stage in developing a systematic and institutionalized Islamic legal system. Most studies focus on the Abbasid period, whereas the Umayyad Caliphate played a crucial role in the transition from oral traditions to written law. This article analyzes the role of hadith codification as a foundation of early Islamic law, particularly through the contributions of key figures such as Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz and Imam al-Zuhri. This study employs a qualitative-historical approach combined with library research, using content analysis to identify main themes, codification patterns, and political-legal strategies. The historical approach examines the socio-political and legal context of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz’s reign, while library research draws on primary sources, such as classical hadith collections and historical chronicles, alongside secondary academic literature. Findings indicate that hadith codification under Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz marked a pivotal transformation of Islamic law from oral and localized forms to a written, standardized, and transregional structure. Beyond preventing forged hadith, codification functioned as a political strategy to unify legal authority and laid the groundwork for legal methodologies that shaped classical Islamic legal traditions.

Abstract

This study examines the intellectual network of Nusantara ulama (Muslim scholars) through the chain of transmission (sanad) found in Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid. Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani was a prominent Muslim scholar in Mecca and of Minangkabau descent. He was renowned for his extensive knowledge of the intellectual networks of Muslim scholars worldwide in the 20th century. Hence, this study investigates Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s contributions to the intellectual network of Nusantara scholars with the scholars of Haramain, focusing on the manuscript al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid. This study utilized a literature review to analyze Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s contributions and his manuscript. The findings of this research explain that Sheikh Muhammad Yasin al-Fadani’s al-Iqdu al-Farid min Jawahir al-Asanid provides crucial information regarding the intellectual network of Nusantara ulama with those in Haramain and the Middle East in the 20th century. It successfully revealed their expertise in various Islamic studies disciplines and their contributions to scholarly development.

Abstract

Sejak awal munculnya Islam hingga saat ini, peradaban Islam pada dasarnya mencerminkan evolusi dan pertumbuhan Islam dari masa ke masa. Abu Bakar As-Shiddiq dilantik menjadi khalifah setelah wafatnya Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dalam kurun waktu kurang dari dua tahun, Abu Bakar As-Shiddiq berhasil menjaga kesatuan negara Islam yang baru terbentuk dari ancaman pecah belah dan keruntuhan. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kepemimpinan Abu Bakar As-Shiddiq dalam struktur pemerintahan dan perubahan sosial serta hukum Islam. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode penelusuran literatur, di mana berbagai referensi menjadi sumber informasi, dengan pendekatan kualitatif karena informasi yang dihasilkan bersifat deskriptif dan berbentuk kata-kata. Dalam penulisan ini, digunakan pendekatan sejarah dan perspektif sosiologis. Pada masa pemerintahan Abu Bakar As-Shiddiq, terjadi ekspansi wilayah kekuasaan Islam yang pesat, yang menimbulkan tantangan baru dalam menangani permasalahan hukum yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Gagasan hukum Islam pada era kepemimpinan ini dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan qiyas (analogi) dan ijtihad (usaha kreatif dalam mencari hukum).

Abstract

Para ulama Nusantara, sebagai penjaga dan pewaris tradisi keilmuan, memainkan peran sentral dalam meriwayatkan, mempelajari, dan menyebarkan hadits di wilayah ini. Kontribusi mereka mencakup berbagai aspek, mulai dari pembuktian sanad (rantai perawi) hadits hingga pengembangan pemahaman kontekstual terhadap sunnah Nabi Muhammad SAW. Syekh Nawawi al-Bantani, dengan kealiman dan dedikasinya, menjadi sosok yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pemahaman hadits di Nusantara. Pendekatan yang dilakukan peneliti adalah pendekatan dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Sumber-sumber yang diambil oleh penbeliti berasar dari sumber-sumber ilmiah berupa buku dan jurnal penelitian terdahulu. Banyak masyarakat yang mencari ilmu agama datang kepada Syaikh Nawawi Al-Bantani untuk berguru, baik ketika beliau berada di Makkah maupun ketika beliau kembali ke tanah air. Para muhadis Nusantara, termasuk Syeikh Nawawi al-bantani menunjukkan keunggulan dalam menguasai ilmu hadits dan sanad, yang merupakan fondasi utama dalam pemahaman ajaran Islam. Mereka tidak hanya memiliki pengetahuan yang mendalam, tetapi juga keahlian untuk memilah hadits yang sahih dan dhaif, menjadikan mereka sebagai penjaga keaslian dan kebenaran ajaran agama.Pengaruh karya-karya Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani terhadap perkembangan hadits di Nusantara sangatlah signifikan. Karya-karyanya menjadi rujukan utama, memperkaya khazanah hadits, meningkatkan pemahaman hadits, mendorong penerapan hadits, dan memperkuat tradisi keguruan. Melalui pembahasan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani telah memberikan sumbangsih yang sangat besar terhadap perkembangan studi hadits di Nusantara. Beliau adalah sosok ulama yang patut diteladani dan karyanya patut dilestarikan. Kata Kunci: kitab-kitab hadits, hadits nusantara, syeikh nawawi albantani, ulama nusantara.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the educational thought of Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani. Influenced significantly by his father and prominent scholars, Syekh Nawawi's profound love for religious knowledge motivated him to pursue various disciplines, emphasizing the obligation of seeking knowledge for the intellectually inclined. The study employs a literature review method to analyze the role of Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani in Islamic education in Nusantara. Data were obtained from primary and secondary literature sources, including scholarly articles and books. Descriptive analysis with triangulation techniques was used to verify and complement the data. The findings highlight Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani's perspective on education, emphasizing the importance of understanding the universe's existence, human potential, and the purpose of education, while promoting holistic development encompassing physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects. The implications of his teachings are valuable for contemporary educators, guiding the integration of Islamic values in education and fostering gratitude, humility, and a commitment to lifelong learning, thus producing morally upright individuals actively contributing to society.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital da'wah initiative based on Sirah Nabawiyah at Radio Dakwah Unisia as an innovative solution to enhance the moral values of Generation Z. The program employs a systematic method encompassing planning, content production, implementation, and evaluation. It begins with orientation discussions with partners to understand Generation Z's needs, followed by the preparation of modules based on Sirah Nabawiyah highlighting values such as patience, honesty, and responsibility. Content production involves creating 10 podcast episodes, three online discussion sessions, and high-quality audio-visual materials supported by expert speakers. Evaluation was conducted through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to measure the program's impact. Results indicate a 60% increase in Generation Z participation, with 85% of participants reporting new insights on the relevance of Sirah Nabawiyah values in their daily lives. The novelty of this program lies in its approach, which integrates Islamic historical content with modern, interactive digital formats, making it relevant to the lifestyle of Generation Z. The program's implications include a shift from traditional da'wah strategies to a more inclusive and adaptive technology-based approach. Sustainability is ensured through the establishment of online communities and technical training for partners. This Sirah Nabawiyah-based da'wah approach strengthens Radio Dakwah Unisia's position as an adaptive and effective da'wah medium in the digital era while contributing significantly to enhancing Generation Z's moral values.   [Studi ini mengkaji tentang pengembangan dakwah digital berbasis Sirah Nabawiyah di Radio Dakwah Unisia sebagai solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan moral generasi Z. Pendidikan moral berbasis sirah nabawiyah ini sangat penting untuk membentengi mora generasi Z dan memberi keteladanan yang baik. Program ini menggunakan metode sistematis yang mencakup perencanaan, produksi konten, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan diskusi orientasi bersama mitra untuk memahami kebutuhan generasi Z, diikuti dengan penyusunan modul berbasis Sirah Nabawiyah yang menyoroti nilai-nilai seperti kesabaran, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab. Produksi konten melibatkan pembuatan 10 episode podcast, tiga sesi diskusi daring, serta materi audio-visual berkualitas tinggi yang didukung oleh narasumber ahli. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner, dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengukur dampak program. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi generasi Z sebesar 60%, serta 85% peserta menyatakan mendapatkan pemahaman baru terkait relevansi nilai Sirah Nabawiyah dalam kehidupan mereka. Kebaruan program ini terletak pada pendekatannya yang memadukan konten historis Islami dengan format digital modern yang interaktif, sehingga relevan dengan gaya hidup generasi Z. Implikasinya, program ini menawarkan model dakwah berbasis teknologi yang dapat diadopsi oleh lembaga lain untuk menjawab tantangan moral generasi muda. Keberlanjutan program dirancang melalui pembentukan komunitas daring dan pelatihan teknis bagi mitra. Abstract

Dialogue regarding the explanation of the Al-Quran for salty people, the Al-Quran must be explained so that it can be digested and understood either through translation or explanation or interpretation. Meanwhile, translations, explanations or interpretations themselves are classified as interpretations. In Indonesia, specifically, not all Muslim communities can understand the verses of the Koran directly, there is a need for tools, such as translation or interpretation. For a long time, Indonesian Islamic thinkers have tried to translate and interpret the verses of the Koran so that they can be understood by the Muslims of the archipelago. One of the scholars from North Sumatra (Binjai) is Abdul Halim Hasan with his book Tafsir Al-Ahkam. As a scholar, he devoted his knowledge and discussed legal aspects in the Al-Quran which then became a style and had its own characteristics (character) in its interpretation. It is important for every Muslim to understand the legal content that can be differentiated based on the Koran and Sunnah. Then, in-depth knowledge of legal verses will ultimately give birth to interpretation products that are flexible in accordance with the demands of the times and are not rigid. The author will try to summarize and reveal verses that are always widely discussed and still have differences, giving rise to polemics in society so that with this article the public can understand them and the purpose of the Al-Quran being revealed will always be relevant to the times and become a guide for Muslims in carrying out every step. life.
