Abstract

Sawahan Village, Watulimo Subdistrict, Trenggalek Regency, is one of the tourist village areas developed by the local community. Several tourism programs have been established by the local tourism awareness groups, including durian forest tourism. In 2023, a chlorine diffuser technology was implemented to support the development of the tourist village, ensuring access to clean water. This appropriate technology is not only designed to produce clean water but also serves as a strategy to meet the requirements of Clean and Healthy Behavior (CHB). In 2024, community service has focused more on waste management through a waste bank. The methods employed include Focus Group Discussions (FGD) on educational tourism through waste banks, education on the separation of organic and inorganic waste, and community assistance with Clean and Healthy Behavior (CHB). The activities conducted resulted in increased community knowledge about waste banks, from 10 people (10%) to 48 people (96%). Not only did the community's knowledge improve, but their behavior also changed, with the creation of separate waste containers for organic and inorganic waste increasing from 3 people (6%) to 38 people (76%). Additionally, the community's behavior regarding clean and healthy living improved, with handwashing facilities available in every home and throughout the tourist area, reaching 50 people (100%). These changes in knowledge and behavior indicate that community service activities can only succeed with the community's willingness and ability to achieve sustainability and self-sufficiency.

Abstract

Ruang laundry rumah sakit Surabaya pada bagian pencucian menimbulkan sumber kebisingan melebihi NAB yang telah ditetapkan yakni sebesar 85,37 dBA. Berdasarkan observasi awal, tenaga kerja mengaku merasa terganggu akibat kebisingan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas kebisingan, ambang dengar, dan keluhan subjektif tenaga kerja ruang laundry pada bagian pencucian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan populasi sebanyak 10 tenaga kerja, besar sampel yang digunakan sama dengan jumlah populasi (total sampling). Variabel yang diteliti adalah intensitas kebisingan, ambang dengar, dan keluhan subjektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara pengukuran dan menggunakan lembar kuesioner, kemudian data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata intensitas kebisingan yang didapat sebesar 75,78 dBA. Sebanyak 20% tenaga kerja dengan masa kerja lama dan tidak menggunakan APT mengalami penurunan ambang dengar sedangkan sebanyak 100% tenaga kerja, baik masa kerja lama ataupun baru dengan perilaku tidak menggunakan APT mengalami keluhan subjektif kategori sedang dan tinggi. Intensitas kebisingan pada bagian pencucian ruang laundry rumah sakit Surabaya sudah memenuhi NAB yang telah ditetapkan yakni dibawah 80 dBA, kebisingan yang terjadi tidak sampai berdampak pada penurunan ambang dengar namun berdampak pada gangguan non pendengaran (keluhan subjektif). Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah melakukan pemantauan intensitas kebisingan, perawatan pada mesin secara berkala, dan penggunaan APT pada tenaga kerja

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: The mosque in Kejapanan Village, Pasuruan Regency has sanitation problems in the form of inadequate physical buildings. Based on a preliminary survey, there was 1 mosque using well water which had an E.Coli content of 650 compared to the required level of 0/100 ml. The aim of this research is to describe the sanitary conditions of mosques in the Kejapanan Village area, Pasuruan Regency. Method: The design of this research is descriptive observational research, with a cross-sectional approach. The variables studied included the sanitary conditions of mosques and E.Coli parameters of well water in the Kejapanan Village area, Pasuruan Regency. Data collection techniques use observation. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively through table analysis. Results: Mosque sanitation assessments have been carried out, in the 4 mosques in Kejapanan Village, Pasuruan Regency, there are still mosques that do not meet the requirements. The mosque studied did not have facilities such as prayer carpets and trash cans with lids. Mosque well water samples tested by the UPTD Regional Health Laboratory, resulted in an Escherichia coli (E.Coli) content of 25 - 650 from a maximum level of 0/100 ml so it did not meet clean water quality standards. Conclusion: Mosque sanitation in Kejapanan Village, Pasuruan Regency, there are still mosques that do not comply with sanitation requirements. For mosque managers, efforts need to be made to improve mosque sanitation and for future researchers, they can carry out research using input variables that are thought to cause contamination of mosque sanitation and sources of clean water for ablution in mosques. Abstract

Parking attendants are susceptible to health problems due to their ongoing exposure to vehicle-related air pollution. A significant contaminant called carbon monoxide (CO) binds to hemoglobin 200 times more strongly than oxygen, forming carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) and causing a decrease in blood oxygen saturation. This study aims to investigate how CO exposure affects the oxygen saturation levels of parking attendants at Surabaya's Kapasan Market. The study uses a cross-sectional methodology and quantitative analysis. Thirteen people made up the study's sample size, including all parking attendants at Kapasan Market in Surabaya. The concentration of CO gas, the workday length, and the oxygen saturation levels were the variables examined. The Spearman's rank correlation test was used to examine the data. The average CO gas level was 3.53 PPM, the average workday for the attendants was 7.5 hours, and the average oxygen saturation was 95%, according to the findings. CO levels and oxygen saturation showed a strong correlation (p = 0.010), as did work time and oxygen saturation (p = 0.005). It is advised that parking attendants take frequent breaks from their duties to breathe in fresh air, take vitamins and supplements, eat a healthy diet, and engage in little physical activity.

Latar Belakang: Kampung Tahu Tinalan Kota Kediri merupakan sentral industri tahu yang dalam penerapan personal hygiene ditemukan penjamah yang merokok dan penjamah tidak menggunakan alat pelindung diri yang lengkap seperti penutup kepala, sarung tangan serta pakaian kerja. Sanitasi lingkungan Industri Rumah Tangga Pangan (IRTP) dengan kondisi kotor, tak terawat, berdebu, tidak difasilitasi sarana cuci tangan dan suplai air yang digunakan adalah sumur bor dengan jarak < 10 meter dari septic tank dan kedalaman sumur < 5 meter. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui personal hygiene, sanitasi lingkungan dan keberadaan bakteri E.coli pada air rendaman tahu di Kampung Tahu Tinalan Kota Kediri. Metode: : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan personal hygiene penjamah seluruhnya sebanyak 12 penjamah (100,0%) adalah baik, sanitasi lingkungan sebagian besar sebanyak 8 sampel (66,7%) adalah kurang baik dan keberadaan bakteri Escherichia coli pada air rendaman tahu sebanyak 8 sampel (66,7%) adalah tidak memenuhi syarat. Kesimpulan: Personal hygiene penjamah dan sanitasi lingkungan IRTP berpotensi menyebabkan keberadaan bakteri E.coli pada air rendaman tahu yang dapat mempengaruhi keamanan pangan pada produk tahu yang dihasilkan sehingga berpotensi mengakibatkan foodborne disease bagi yang mengkonsumsinya.

Abstract

Workplace noise is one of the physical factors that is often overlooked, although long-term exposure can have serious impacts on cardiovascular health. In workers exposed to noise, blood pressure and heart rate often increase as the body's response to physical stress. This physiological mechanism triggered by prolonged noise can result in an increased risk of cardiovascular disorders, including hypertension and heart rhythm disorders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of noise on increasing blood pressure and heart rate in workers in the workshop area, especially the dynotest room. This type of research is observational with a cross-sectional research design. Conducted in December - May 2024 with the object of research on workers exposed to noise in the workshop area, especially the dynotest room. Data were analyzed using the Logistic Regression test. The total sample was 40 workers in the workshop area and dynotest room. Data were collected from observations, room noise measurements, blood pressure, and heart rate. Based on the results of the study, the average results for the dynotest area were 83.5 dBA, while for the dynotest room, the average results were 117.8 dBA. The results of statistical tests of blood pressure and pulse rate in workers obtained a sig value = 0.001. These results indicate an increase in blood pressure and pulse rate due to noise. It is recommended for the Company to monitor workers to find out the disorders caused by noise.

Abstract

Cassava naturally contains cyanogenic glycosides, which have the potential to become hydrogen cyanide (HCN) toxic. Cassava can be safer to be consumed if it is conducted pre-processing and processing. One of example of pre-processing is soaking. The objective of this research was to comprehend the effect of soaking water type in cassava on the hydrogen cyanide (HCN) reduction level. This research was a pre-experimental research with After Only Design. The objects of research was cassavas with a total of 18 samples. The types of soaking water was in the form of 10% of table salt solution concentration, 10% calcium hydroxide solution concentration, and PDAM water (control) with an initial temperature of 55ºC. The soaking time was conducted for 120 minutes. The method of hydrogen cyanide examination level using a titrimetric method. The data that had obtained was then analyzed using an Anova test. The result of while cassavas’ HCN level after soaking with table salt solution was 63 mg/kg, calcium hydroxide solution was 70 mg/kg, and PDAM water was 175 mg/kg. The Anova test indicated that there was a difference in hydrogen cyanide level value from three types of soaking water in cassava (p < 0.05). Abstract

Sansevieria trifasciata is a plant that has the potential to kill pathogenic bacteria due to its content. An experimental study with a laboratory experimental design was carried out to test the inhibition of Sansevieria trifasciata extract against Escherichia coli in vitro. Antibacterial testing of Sansevieria trifasciata extract was carried out at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 40% to explore the growth of Escherichia coli by maceration method and using 96% ethanol. The medium used was Mueller Hinton Agar which had previously been inoculated with the test microbe (Escherichia coli ATCC 25922) and then the results obtained were compared with the control group for comparison. The ethanol extract of Sansevieria trifasciata with concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 40% could inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria with the average diameter of the inhibition zone respectively 6.63 mm, 5.42 mm, and 6.55 mm compared to the diameter of the Escherichia coli on the control variable + using the previous ciprofloxacin, namely 20.4 mm, 20.8 mm and 20.4 mm. Sansevieria trifasciata has good inhibition against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria with low or high concentrations.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kendaraan bermotor yang masuk dan keluar area parkir pusat perbelanjaan X Surabaya menghasilkan emisi gas buang kendaraan bermotor yaitu gas karbon monoksida. Petugas parkir yang berada di area parkir dapat terpajan gas karbon monoksida yang berisiko terhadap kesehatan petugas parkir. Tujuan: menganalisis tingkat risiko paparan gas karbon monoksida pada petugas parkir di pusat perbelanjaan X Surabaya. Metode: Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional dan menggunakan pendekatan studi Analisis Risiko Kesehatan Lingkungan (ARKL). Sampel yang digunakan adalah total populasi sebanyak 34 orang. Pengambilan sampel gas CO dilakukan di area parkir pusat perbelanjaan X Surabaya. Hasil: pengukuran rata-rata konsentrasi gas CO di area parkir adalah 1,589 ppm. Konsentrasi gas CO dibawah Nilai ambang Batas (NAB) berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Ketenagakerjaan RI Nomor 5 Tahun 2018. Nilai intake tertinggi yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungan sebesar 0,159 mg/kg/hari dan tingkat risiko yang didapatkan 0,174 (RQ ≤ 1). Kesimpulan: paparan gas CO di area parkir pusat perbelanjaan X Surabaya RQ ≤ 1 aman atau tidak berisiko terhadap gangguan kesehatan petugas parkir.
