Abstract

An important effort to restore the productivity of degraded land is land reclamation, especially in areas where ecosystems have been destroyed. The use of organic materials that can improve soil quality is one of the methods used in the reclamation process. Humic acid, an organic component found in natural organic materials such as humus and compost, has attracted attention as an organic fertilizer material that can be used in reclamation, the aim of this research is to analyze the use of humic acid as an organic fertilizer in the reclamation process in the Spice Land area, South Kalimantan. This research was carried out through field and laboratory studies, looking at how humic acid affects the properties of degraded soil, pH, height and stem diameter. The results showed that the application of humic acid significantly improved the quality of reclaimed soil by increasing the soil's capacity to store water and increasing its fertility in addition to the physicochemical benefits, the use of humic acid helps the environment. By using it as an organic fertilizer in the reclamation process, you no longer need to use synthetic chemical fertilizers, which can have a bad impact on the environment. It also supports sustainable agricultural practices ,in reclamation, the use of humic acid as an organic fertilizer shows great potential to increase the success rate of restoration of degraded land. Consequently, this research encourages environmentally friendly practices for the restoration of damaged ecosystems and helps sustainable land management.

Abstract

PT Djava Berkah Mineral (PT DBM) merupakan perusahaan penyedia jasa pertambangan yang beroperasi di Kabupaten Morowali Utara, Sulawesi Tengah. PT DBM saat ini melaksanakan kegiatan pada Blok Peboa yang baru dimulai pada Oktober 2022. Hasil pengamatan di lapangan menunjukkan kondisi jalan angkut kurang baik, yang berpotensi memengaruhi usia pakai ban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kondisi jalan angkut terhadap usia pakai ban, dan mengupayakan perbaikan kondisi jalan angkut untuk meningkatkan usia pakai ban. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai total resistance pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing sebesar 3164,60 lbs dan 2484,61 lbs dengan usia pakai ban yaitu 511,2 dan 409,6 jam. Setelah diupayakan perbaikan kondisi jalan angkut, grade jalan maksimal dapat ditekan dari 22% hingga 10% dan diketahui nilai total resistance pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing menjadi sebesar 1460,93 dan 1141,02 lbs. Pada perhitungan Regresi Linear Sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y = -0,2284x + 1207,5 dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,7752 dan berdasarkan persamaan tersebut diprediksi usia pakai ban pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing sebesar 935,2 dan 884,9 jam, meningkat rata-rata sebanyak 97,67 %.

Abstract

Literature study on the management of Acid Mine Drainage through phytoremediation has become crucial to gain a better understanding of its potential, challenges, and recent developments. The research method employed in this study is Literature Review. Literature Review involves a series of activities related to collecting literature data, reading and note-taking, as well as processing research materials. The findings reveal that using a greater variety of plants provides a more comprehensive overview. The use of diverse plants or more complex phytoremediation systems offers a broader understanding. The evaluation of plant abilities in absorbing iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) is emphasized. Adding evaluations for other metals or potential pollutants would enhance the research completeness. A decline in plant absorption abilities after ten days is observed, but external factors such as temperature, pH, or environmental conditions affecting this decline are not extensively discussed

Abstract

Air asam tambang  adalah masalah global  dan menyebabkan dampak lingkungan yang berbahaya sehingga tersebar luas yang terkait dengan operasi penambangan yang sedang berjalan dan yang ditingkalkan, yang dihasilkan dari oksidasi mikroba pirit dengan adanya air dan udara, menghasilkan larutan asam yang mengandung ion logam beracun bagi tumbuhan, hewan, dan manusia. dan pelepasan logam berat terlarut merupakan perhatian penting yang dihadapi industri pertambangan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan metode yang efektif dan efesien dalam pengelolaan air asam tambang menggunakan zeolit. Metode yang mudah dalam aplikasinya, berbiaya rendah, dan ramah lingkungan sangat diharapkan untuk pengelolaan air asam tambang. Jurnal ini mengulas tentang metode pengelolaan  air asam tambang yang telah diterapkan diberbagai Negara. Metode yang paling efektif adalah metode pengelolaan air asam tambang menggunakan zeolit sintesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas penyisihan logam berat menggunakan zeolit sintesis adalah 98,16%, tetapi metode zeolit sintesis cukup mahal. Untuk metode efisien dalam pengelolaan air asam tambang adalah metode zeolit alam yang hemat biaya dibandingkan dengan metode lainnya dikarenakan tanpa ada tambahan bahan kimia secara terus menerus.

Abstract

Investment analysis needs to be done to determine the feasibility of a project from an economic perspective. In this research, an investment analysis were applied in a coal mine project. The analysis were considering the results of NPV and IRR. NPV is the result of subtracting discounted costs [8]. IRR is an interest rate that shows the net present value is equal to the total amount of business investment [9]. The methods used in the analysis are the conventional method and the Fuzzy method. Conventional method is done by using NPV and IRR formula in Ms.Excel while Matlab for Fuzzy. The Fuzzy method apply a membership functions, namely triangular fuzzy number. The results of the analysis using conventional methods show an NPV value of $ 14,900,691 or IDR 223 Million with an IRR value of 69.8%. The results of the analysis using the fuzzy method with triangular membership functions showed the NPV values of IDR 232 Million and IRR 40.1 %. From the analysis, it can be seen that the fuzzy method is able to produce a larger NPV but a smaller IRR value whose value is close to conventional methods with the same input variables. So it can be concluded that the fuzzy method is quite well applied in investment analysis and it can help for the final decision of a project

Abstract

Occupational safety is a crucial aspect, especially in the mining sector, which has a high risk of accidents due to various factors. These factors include knowledge, attitude, and supervision. Although PT Pemurnian Oreh Timah in the Jelitik Industrial Estate recorded a few incidents of work accidents that occurred in the last 1 year, the risk of work accidents still exists. This study aims to analyze the level of close relationship between independent variables, namely knowledge and attitude, knowledge and supervision, and attitude with supervision in the Engineering Department of PT Pemurnian Oreh Timah in the Jelitik Industrial Estate, Bangka Regency. Pearson's correlation test method was used to analyze questionnaire data from 68 workers in the company's engineering department. The results showed that there was a weak relationship (r = 0.311) between knowledge and attitude, as well as a moderate relationship (r = 0.502) between knowledge and supervision. A moderate relationship (r = 0.484) was also found between attitude and supervision. These findings show that these factors are interrelated, where it is hoped that effective supervision can increase workers' knowledge and attitudes towards occupational safety.

Abstract

Coal mining activities often cause environmental challenges, one of which is acid mine drainage (AMD) with low pH and elevated concentrations of heavy metals and suspended solids. This study aimed to assess water quality improvement through a constructed wetland system using Purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) and palm oil empty fruit bunch compost (TKKS). Laboratory-scale experiments were conducted with five treatment variations and three replications over a 20-day retention period. Results indicated that the media combination, with or without limestone addition, significantly altered the water quality parameters. The pH increased from 3.35 to 7.76; TSS decreased from 1,373.3 mg/L to 151 mg/L; Fe decreased from 33.15 mg/L to 2.68 mg/L; and Mn decreased from 7.06 mg/L to 0.45 mg/L over 20 days. These results indicate the potential of constructed wetlands using native plants and organic materials as an environmentally friendly strategy for treating mining wastewater.
