Abstract

Gold ore processing is carried out by amalgamation techniques where mercury (Hg) is used as a medium to bind gold which results in water pollution around the processing area, so it is necessary to remediate water. One way in managing mercury-contaminated water is phytoremediation of the use of water kale (ipomoea aquatica forsk) and to help the phytoremediation process, ingredients are needed that can help the growth of water kale in increasing the absorption of Hg concentrations, namely the addition of liquid NPK fertilizer. This study aims to analyze water kale without liquid NPK fertilizer, and use liquid NPK fertilizer against water kale in reducing the concentration of Hg, pH and TSS metals in water. This study used an experimental method with an experimental box (container) consisting of 4 treatments, then an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test of 5% and Duncan Multiple Rang Test were carried out. The results showed that liquid NPK fertilizer had an influence on reducing the concentration of Hg, pH and TSS in water. Based on the results of experiments using liquid NPK fertilizer, the best treatment results were obtained in mercury absorption by water kale and reducing Hg concentration in water, namely treatment D (contaminated water + water kale + liquid NPK fertilizer) on the 14th day, as evidenced by a decrease in Hg concentration in water by 0.56 mg / l to 0.00486 mg / l, pH 10.1 to 6.86 and TSS 1695 mg / l to 1 mg / l and an increase in nitrate levels,  Phosphate and potassium in water can accelerate absorption by water kale.

Abstract

Limestone, a non-metallic industrial mineral, is abundantly found across Indonesia. The extraction process involves overburden removal, limestone breaking using rock breakers, loading onto dump trucks with excavators, stockpiling, and subsequent processing. These activities can negatively impact the environment, particularly air quality. To evaluate the ambient air quality in the mining area, measurements were taken focusing on hazardous substances such as SO2, CO, NO2, O3, and Total Suspended Particles (TSP). This study aims to assess the ambient air quality within the limestone mining area. Results indicate that the ambient air quality in the mining area is relatively good, with no parameters exceeding established quality standards. Specifically, SO2 levels were 9.39 µg/m³, NO2 levels were 4.19 µg/m³, CO levels were 69.74 µg/m³, O3 levels were 24.90 µg/m³, and TSP levels were 133.26 µg/m³. For a more comprehensive assessment, it is recommended to conduct extended monitoring of these parameters to ensure the long-term air quality status for both the environment and the mine workers

Abstract

PT Akarna Marindo is a limestone mining company located in West Bandung that will carry out revegetation activities with Arabica coffee plants on ex-mining land. PT Akarna Marindo did this by mixing a combination of 5 mm limestone waste from crusher activities and humic acid in Arabica coffee growing media. This research aims to analyze the response of Arabica coffee seedlings to the use of a combination of humic acid and limestone waste. The research used an experimental method with experimental polybags consisting of 5 treatments with 3 repetitions. The response of Arabica coffee seedlings includes seed height and seed diameter. Data processing uses the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test. The results of the analysis showed that the response of Arabica coffee seedlings to the combination of 15 mL humic acid and 4 kg limestone waste (A15L4) was an optimal combination of humic acid and limestone waste compared to other treatments in the response of Arabica coffee seedlings. There was an increase in the average height of seedlings from 19.23 cm to 24.90 cm and the diameter of seedling stems from 2.13 mm to 2.53 mm.

Abstract

PT Solusi Bangun Beton merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri penambangan dan peremukan batu andesit. Kegiatan penambangan pada PT Solusi Bangun Beton dilakukan dengan sistem tambang terbuka dengan metode quarry. Saat ini kegiatan penambangan dilakukan di quarry maloko pada bench D1 (Elevasi 97 Mdpl), namun kegiatan penambangan terkendala karena pada area bench D1 masih terdapat area bench D0 (Elevasi 107 Mdpl) yang masih belum terbongkar karena adanya tumpukan abu batu dengan ketinggian berkisar antara 10-15 meter pada bench D0 tersebut, sehingga perlu dipindahkan untuk selanjutnya dilakukan pencucian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat rancangan kemajuan penambangan dari bulan Maret hingga bulan Desember 2024. Pembuatan rancangan penambangan mempertimbangkan target produksi perusahaan yaitu sebanyak 1.634.535 ton dan geometri lereng yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan, yaitu lebar lereng tunggal 5 meter, tinggi lereng tunggal 10 meter dan sudut lereng tunggal 80º. Sehingga didapatkan jumlah andesit tertambang total pada bulan Maret hingga Desember 2024 sebanyak 1.674.922 ton. Rancangan geometri jalan angkut dibuat berdasarkan alat mekanis terbesar yang melalui jalan yakni Komatsu HD 465. Dari perhitungan didapatkan geometri jalan angkut pada jalan lurus memiliki lebar minimum 19 meter, pada tikungan 23 meter, superelevasi 0,04 mm/m dan cross slope 40 mm/m. Grade jalan angkut memiliki kemiringan antara 7,3% hingga 10,3%. Pada penambangan andesit alat gali-muat yang digunakan adalah Hitachi Zaxis 470 LC dengan kapasitas bucket 3,2 m3 dan untuk alat angkut yang digunakan adalah Komatsu HD 465 dengan kapasitas vesssel 34,2 m3. Pada penambangan andesit, jumlah kebutuhan alat mekanis yang digunakan setiap bulannya memiliki nilai yang berbeda. Dalam kondisi aktual di lapangan, alat yang tersedia harus digunakan karena setiap alat memiliki operator tetap, sehingga jumlah alat mekanis pada kegiatan penambangan andesit yang digunakan adalah yang tertinggi yaitu untuk alat gali-muat sebanyak unit 2 unit dan alat angkut 4 unit.

Abstract

PT Djava Berkah Mineral (PT DBM) merupakan perusahaan penyedia jasa pertambangan yang beroperasi di Kabupaten Morowali Utara, Sulawesi Tengah. PT DBM saat ini melaksanakan kegiatan pada Blok Peboa yang baru dimulai pada Oktober 2022. Hasil pengamatan di lapangan menunjukkan kondisi jalan angkut kurang baik, yang berpotensi memengaruhi usia pakai ban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kondisi jalan angkut terhadap usia pakai ban, dan mengupayakan perbaikan kondisi jalan angkut untuk meningkatkan usia pakai ban. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai total resistance pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing sebesar 3164,60 lbs dan 2484,61 lbs dengan usia pakai ban yaitu 511,2 dan 409,6 jam. Setelah diupayakan perbaikan kondisi jalan angkut, grade jalan maksimal dapat ditekan dari 22% hingga 10% dan diketahui nilai total resistance pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing menjadi sebesar 1460,93 dan 1141,02 lbs. Pada perhitungan Regresi Linear Sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y = -0,2284x + 1207,5 dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,7752 dan berdasarkan persamaan tersebut diprediksi usia pakai ban pada unit Quester dan AXOR masing-masing sebesar 935,2 dan 884,9 jam, meningkat rata-rata sebanyak 97,67 %.

Abstract

Investment analysis needs to be done to determine the feasibility of a project from an economic perspective. In this research, an investment analysis were applied in a coal mine project. The analysis were considering the results of NPV and IRR. NPV is the result of subtracting discounted costs [8]. IRR is an interest rate that shows the net present value is equal to the total amount of business investment [9]. The methods used in the analysis are the conventional method and the Fuzzy method. Conventional method is done by using NPV and IRR formula in Ms.Excel while Matlab for Fuzzy. The Fuzzy method apply a membership functions, namely triangular fuzzy number. The results of the analysis using conventional methods show an NPV value of $ 14,900,691 or IDR 223 Million with an IRR value of 69.8%. The results of the analysis using the fuzzy method with triangular membership functions showed the NPV values of IDR 232 Million and IRR 40.1 %. From the analysis, it can be seen that the fuzzy method is able to produce a larger NPV but a smaller IRR value whose value is close to conventional methods with the same input variables. So it can be concluded that the fuzzy method is quite well applied in investment analysis and it can help for the final decision of a project

Abstract

Air asam tambang  adalah masalah global  dan menyebabkan dampak lingkungan yang berbahaya sehingga tersebar luas yang terkait dengan operasi penambangan yang sedang berjalan dan yang ditingkalkan, yang dihasilkan dari oksidasi mikroba pirit dengan adanya air dan udara, menghasilkan larutan asam yang mengandung ion logam beracun bagi tumbuhan, hewan, dan manusia. dan pelepasan logam berat terlarut merupakan perhatian penting yang dihadapi industri pertambangan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan metode yang efektif dan efesien dalam pengelolaan air asam tambang menggunakan zeolit. Metode yang mudah dalam aplikasinya, berbiaya rendah, dan ramah lingkungan sangat diharapkan untuk pengelolaan air asam tambang. Jurnal ini mengulas tentang metode pengelolaan  air asam tambang yang telah diterapkan diberbagai Negara. Metode yang paling efektif adalah metode pengelolaan air asam tambang menggunakan zeolit sintesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas penyisihan logam berat menggunakan zeolit sintesis adalah 98,16%, tetapi metode zeolit sintesis cukup mahal. Untuk metode efisien dalam pengelolaan air asam tambang adalah metode zeolit alam yang hemat biaya dibandingkan dengan metode lainnya dikarenakan tanpa ada tambahan bahan kimia secara terus menerus.

Abstract

Miners often leave traces such as irregular river channels, holes in the mining area without repair measures, the mining area is located in Boyolali Regency, precisely in the Apu River area. Apu River is one of the centers of Merapi sand mining which is quite large, mining activities have the potential to cause river overflows. For this reason, improvements need to be made. This study aims to plan a post-mining model in a river that has changed, the method in this study is to take water discharge directly with 5 sampling points and analyze the distribution of gumbell rainfall for 10 years and make a comparison, then a trapezoidal open channel plan is made and modeled in HEC-RAS software. Based on the results of taking river water discharge, it is known that the maximum river flow velocity is 0.57 m3/second, while the results of the rainfall analysis are 2.77m3/second. so that in repairing the cross-section using a higher water discharge. The method of repairing the river cross-section is the trapezoidal open channel method, the dimensions of the open channel are designed using a manning roughness of 0.30. The initial design depth of the channel was 1.35 m plus 0.60 m to avoid flood overflow, so that the channel depth became 1.95 m.
