Abstract

Indonesia's rice sector was once self-sufficient due to government support, macroeconomic policies, and technological advancements like the Green Revolution in lowland rice cultivation. However, the Cengkeh Turi sub-district in Binjai City, North Sumatra, faces welfare issues such as lack of capital, polluted soil, uncertain rice prices, limited land area, poor quality seeds, plant pests, lack of human resources, and a lack of government involvement in agriculture. This research aims to analyze factors such as seed type, fertilizer type, labor, land conversion, capital, distribution, and climate to improve the welfare of farmers in Cengkeh Turi Village. Data processing using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Multiple Linear Regression was used. Results showed that distribution, climate, labor, and land use change factors significantly impact the welfare of the community in Cengkeh Turi Village, while the type of seed and fertilizer type had a positive effect on the welfare of the community in Kelurana Cengkeh Turi. The study highlights the need for improved agricultural practices and government support to improve the welfare of farmers in Cengkeh Turi Village.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the National Strategy (Stranas) for the Acceleration of Stunting Child Prevention for the 2018-2024 period is a guide document for the implementation framework for stunting reduction. Following up on this, the government issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 72 of 2021 concerning the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction with the intention of strengthening the intervention and institutional framework in the process of implementing the acceleration of stunting reduction. A condition known as stunting occurs when a child's height is much lower than expected for their age. In addition to being physically shorter than classmates, children with stunted development often experience cognitive impairment and weakened immunity. If a child suffers from stunting, the effects are generally never reversible. A solution is in sight, despite the fact that there is still a significant threat to the safety of millions of young people. A number of elements, including the consumption of food throughout the first thousand days of a person's life (HPK). To achieve the target of 14 percent by 2024 as stipulated in the 2020-2024 RPJMN, future stunting eradication measures must be strengthened and accelerated. It is hoped that all parties involved will care and participate in efforts to prevent stunting in children.  It has to do with community service. Previous research on elements related to stunting  in children and toddlers was carried out in support of this service. The findings are that maternal characteristics, such as mother's height and education level, are related to the occurrence of stunting  in children and toddlers  Girls who are now teenagers will become mothers in the next generation. The importance of getting education for adolescents, especially  in raising awareness about various methods to reduce stunting can break the chain that leads to the prevalence of stunting in children and toddlers.

Abstract

Community activities that adopt a mutual cooperation system and joint management of inorganic waste have the potential to be used as an effective and targeted product in terms of waste management. Recycling inorganic waste as one way to achieve this goal. This pattern will make empowerment activities a major breakthrough in government programs, especially in circular economy activities to reduce the degree of organic waste contamination, which has been more critical in dealing with inorganic waste and public apathy towards waste management and the circular economy. As a consequence of this, efforts to promote empowerment will be a major focus of progress in government initiatives. Ecobrik is a new product developed with the aim of reducing the amount of various forms of inorganic waste and contaminants in the soil. The product name comes from the word “eco”, which refers to inorganic waste and contaminants. Increasing community empowerment through the use of ecobricks has the potential to reduce the level of community dependence on cement products and other materials. This is one of the potential benefits of using ecobricks. Utilization of ecobricks will provide space for the formation of a circular economy, as well as green spaces that will supply oxygen and ensure that the water cycle continues to rotate and change. Abstract

The problem of waste is multidimensional, so it must be handled regularly. Waste reduction requires a cooperative effort from all parties involved. Accomplishing the Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030 is one of the cross-sectoral challenges and problems that the Hero Village is trying to solve. This paper aims to look at circularity-based waste management and provide insight on how green recovery stimulus can be achieved. Doing this is to control the negative environmental, economic, social, and rural effects that threaten villages, and to reap the benefits that come from doing so. One reason is because the funds allocated by the government are insufficient for rural waste management. Even for today's trash.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the number of visitors to Karo Regency and the number of tourist attractions impact Regional Original Income (PAD) in Karo Regency during the 2018–2023 period. The secondary data used in this study was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Karo Regency Tourism Office. To determine the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable, both partially and simultaneously, descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression were employed. The results indicate that the number of tourist attractions and the number of tourists have a significant simultaneous effect on PAD, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.85, meaning that these two variables account for 85% of the variation in PAD. The number of tourist attractions has a significant partial effect on PAD, whereas the number of tourists does not. In addition to providing theoretical insights into the relationship between tourism and PAD, this study offers practical benefits in the form of strategic recommendations for tourism management in Karo Regency. However, the study is limited to data collected within a specific period and does not include additional variables such as hotel occupancy rates or tourist spending. Future research is expected to incorporate more variables and a broader dataset to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.
