Abstract

This study aimed to determine the optimal dose of tofu wastewater-based organic fertilizer (LOF) on the growth and yields of two mung bean varieties, Vima 1 and Vima 3. The experiment was conducted at the Academic Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, Palu, from October 2021 to January 2022. A Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors was employed: mung bean variety (Vima 1 and Vima 3) and POC dose (0, 40 ml/plant, 50 ml/plant, 60 ml/plant, 70 ml/plant, and 80 ml/plant). The results indicated that both varieties showed similar vegetative growth responses to the LOF doses, with significant differences observed only in production components. The 80 ml/plant dose led to increased growth for both varieties, suggesting this as the optimal level for enhancing plant growth.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the obligations of a husband with convict status from the perspective of Islamic law and positive law. This study used a case study qualitative method. Data were gathered through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and written document analysis. Data were analyzed using the thematic approach outlined by Corbin and Strauss. The results of this study show that The implementation of the obligation of physical support by a husband who has the status of a prisoner in the penitentiary is divided into three groups, namely first, it is carried out on the grounds that there is a form of effort made by the prisoner's husband, such as a business that is still running and producing results that the wife can use to meet her daily needs. The obligation of support for a husband who is serving a sentence does not conflict with Islamic law and Positive law even though, on the one hand, he still has the status of a head of the family who has obligations that must be fulfilled. Islam views this as three legal provisions, namely the first is that the obligation of support remains, the second is that the obligation of support becomes a debt, and the third is that the obligation of support is terminated.

Abstract

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program in Indonesia has been implemented as a key strategy to mitigate the spread of the virus within communities. The success of this program depends on public acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines, including booster doses. The aim of this study was to assess the acceptance of the COVID-19 booster dose in Indonesia and to identify factors influencing individuals' acceptance. A cross-sectional study was conducted across 34 provinces in Indonesia on June 2023. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors associated with booster dose uptake. The findings revealed that 88.8% (2,049/2,308) of respondents were willing to receive a booster dose if provided free of charge by the Indonesian government. However, acceptance decreased to 61.7% when respondents were informed of a 20% likelihood of side effects, even with a reported 95% vaccine efficacy. Adjusted logistic regression analysis identified ten significant factors associated with booster dose acceptance: sex, age, religion, history of previous COVID-19 infection, type of primary vaccine received, belief in vaccine-related conspiracy theories, trust in traditional medicine conspiracies, confidence in natural immunity, perceived vaccine efficacy, and perceived vaccine effectiveness. These findings suggest that acceptance of COVID-19 booster doses in Indonesia is influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, including limited knowledge of booster dose benefits and concerns about potential side effects. To enhance public acceptance, targeted health campaigns and educational initiatives should be intensified, emphasizing the safety, efficacy, and importance of booster vaccinations in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe women's access and freedom of expression in using internet technology related to their need for information, protection of women victims of Gender- Based Sexual Violence (KSBG) online, and legal services, as well as developing networks free from violence and discrimination. The next goal is to get an idea of how far state agencies, law enforcement officials and private authorities in internet governance fulfill the protection of women's rights to access and freedom of expression, as well as the protection of victims of KSBG. This study used qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews and documentation. Research data was obtained from 7 (seven) informants, namely activists of the DAMAR Association, Nawala, APJII, the PPA Unit and Police Cyber Crime, and Kominfo. The results show that internet governance related to the protection of women's rights to access and freedom of expression, as well as the protection of victims of Gender-Based Sexual Violence (KSBG) online is an issue that is still growing, has not been managed properly, and still requires further attention from the government, as well as the private sector. Although there are many regulations governing access and freedom of expression in cyberspace, both international, national, regional, they have not been able to guarantee the fulfillment of the Right to Access and Freedom of Expression, especially related to online gender-based violence and health services, law, and assistance for victims of Gender-Based Sexual Violence (KSBG). Many online KSBG victims do not report because of shame, stigma, or uncertainty in the handling of cases by the authorities. Women's greater access to the internet is essential to achieve digital inclusivity and women's empowerment. In order for women to have equal access and protection to internet use, free from violence and discrimination, a comprehensive effort involving various stakeholders is needed

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of fermented vegetable waste supplemented with varying levels of fish waste flour on the nutritional composition of the feed and its impact on broiler performance. The experiment employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatments were as follows: T0Vegetable Waste (VW) without Fish Waste Flour Supplementation (FWFS); T1VW+5%FWFS; T2VW+10%FWFS; and T3VW+15%FWFS. Parameters measured included proximate composition and broiler performance indicators. The results demonstrated that the fermentation of vegetable waste with fish waste flour at varying concentrations significantly affected (P0.05) moisture content, crude protein, crude fiber, ash content, feed intake, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and body weight. However, crude fat and nitrogen-free extract (NFE) contents were not significantly affected (P0.05). The supplementation of 10% fish waste flour (T2) yielded the highest values for crude protein, crude fat, and moisture, and also resulted in the best body weight gain and feed conversion ratio among the treatments. In conclusion, the inclusion of 10% fish waste flour in fermented vegetable waste is recommended, as it provides optimal nutritional quality and enhances broiler performance.
