<![CDATA[Writing is a language skill in expressing main ideas or ideas in writing. Writing skills are not easy to do in learning, this is related to the level of writing at the highest level position. Learning must be done by choosing an approach that can promote students' critical thinking skills. The explanatory text is a text that can express students' ideas in writing about phenomena. Therefore, this study was conducted on the background of how the learning process of writing explanatory text with an approach that can provide a stimulus for critical thinking. The purpose of this study was to determine the explanatory text writing skills influenced by the HOTS approach. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were 26 students of class VIII-B of SMPN 2 Margaasih. The results showed that 16 students got high scores, 7 students got adequate scores and 3 students got low scores. The results of the study concluded that the use of HOTS-based approaches in class VIII-B students could improve their explanatory text writing skills. ]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the writer's curiosity about the effect of independent learning on writing skills. The hypothesis to be tested is the influence of independent learning on the ability to write expository texts. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method because the research data is in the form of numbers, analyzed using statistics that connect between variables. The number of samples was 32 students of class X SMK PP Negeri Sumedang. The instruments used are test and non-test. The test instrument is in the form of an Exposition text writing skill test using Quizziz. The non-test instrument was in the form of a questionnaire containing 15 indicators of student learning independence including dependence, self-confidence, discipline, responsibility, and self-control. The result of correlation analysis is 0.414 proves that there is a close relationship between learning independence and the ability to write exposition texts. The regression value of r square is 0.797. This shows a significant effect between the independent variables on the dependent variable. As for the significance test of the regression coefficient obtained sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and t count = 11,566. This means that there is a significant influence between learning independence on the ability to write expository texts ]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Leeuwen inclusion theory in the news as for the stages used by researchers are (4M) Reading, Understanding, Marking, and Analyzing. In stage (1) the researcher reads the news in the Pikiran Rakyat newspaper, (2) the researcher understands the discourse that is available in the newspaper (3) the researcher marks the discourse to be analyzed and (4) the researcher analyzes the discourse that has been marked based on Lee's inclusion theory. In this study researchers used a qualitative method of describing the findings of data that researchers had discovered. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded, Leeuwen's inclusioan theory found in four criminal news titles with the theme of "corruption" in the People's Mind Newspaper and January 2019 edition of Tribun Jabar amounted to three of the seven existing theories, namely objectivity, Determination, and assimilation -individualization. So, it can be concluded in writing criminal news with the theme of "corruption" Journalists still hide actors. The concealment of actors by journalists is done by using passive sentences in the headline.]]>

<![CDATA[Television is a reliable container or strategy for social and political groups so that it appears based on the discourse process. One of the programs shown is the Mata Najwa talk show with women's political themes and coming from speakers who are struggling in politics. This event various kinds of discourse formation practices can emerge. A good discourse should give a clear and intact shadow to the opponent so that it does not cause many perceptions. Not only good and clear, but the intended discourse or question can trigger the speaker to actually speak so that the truth can be known. In this analysis, Michel Foucault's post-feminism discourse analysis uses language as the article freedom of feminist discourse in the Mata Najwa program. The article analyzes women's discourse relating to the freedom of women as seen from a variety of oppressions within feminists. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design, with an observation method as a method of data collection. <![CDATA[Analysis of news text discourse that emphasizes the constellation of forces that occur in the production and reproduction of news media. The research approach used is the Framing analysis approach. Data Analysis of this critical discourse is a news fragment in the form of paragraphs in the news, Media Indonesia and Kompas are more directed to existing powers, Media Indonesia and Kompas have special considerations in the selection of issues presented to readers every day. Critical discourse analysis places media as a source of information that creates and reality with the grammar used and choices of diction so as to give birth to a diverse representation of information for the audience. ]]>

<![CDATA[The thought arises and develops based on the socio-cultural state of every human being, which then forms the distinctiveness of thought. Without realizing the thought of each individual has been monopolized by the ruler in a different sense. The ruler, in this case, as stated by Michel Foucault, that rationality and subjectivity of thought does not seem given and natural but are dominated by dominators who exploit some other people as a result of discourse. Gradually the influence of power has an impact on the ways of thinking and acting of dominant groups. One way that the ruling group built to strengthen the concept of "truth" through discourse. This article shows how power tries to make new concepts of truth in certain situations. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative analyzing the news text entitled, "Minister Jonan: BBM Premium Does Not Rise, Pertamax Adjust Prices" on news on lineTempo.co edition Thursday, September 6, 2018. Data collection is done through, (1) read and understand the news text being researched in order to obtain a clear understanding of the contents of the news, (2) mark parts of the news relating to Foucault's theory of power-knowledge, and (3) inventory the sentences in the news relating to Foucault's power-knowledge theory. This research shows that the new term that was rolled out by the authorities through news discourse aims to erase the public's perception of the truth they have always believed.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the teaching materials that high school students learn is writing short story texts. In the learning process, there are problems experienced by students, including difficulties in finding ideas and developing stories. The formulation of the research problems: 1) how is the implementation of the cooperative method of storytelling in pairs on short story writing material? and 2) how is the pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental and control classes? This study shows the implementation of the cooperative method of storytelling in pairs is carried out in accordance with the Learning Implementation Plan. The research method is a quasi-experimental quantitative approach. The research stages were pre-test, giving treatment, and post-test. The results showed that the experimental class average score increased after using the cooperative method of telling pair stories. The pre-test average score was 56, increased in the post-test to 80, so the students' writing ability in the experimental class had a significant increase. Meanwhile, the mean value of the control class increased but not significantly. The pre-test average score was 52, increasing in post-test to 64. It can be concluded that the cooperative method of storytelling in pairs can be used in short story writing learners.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the physical structure and inner structure in the anthology of Netra Cintapoetries. Based on the research problems, this research aims to describe the morals contained in the Netra Cintapoetrycollections. The method applied in this study was qualitative research methods as descriptive analysis design. The writer used this method because the writer tried to know and describe the physical structure, inner structure and description of morality in the anthology of Netra Cinta poetrywhich is the object of this research. The research instrument was the documentation technique. The using of this documentation technique is done by reading poetry data sources which aimsto identify data in accordance with the theory used. After obtaining this research data, further analysis of the research data is carried out with content analysis techniques. The process of data analysis could be done by mastering the physical and inner elements as well as the moral description contained in the poetry anthology of Netra Cinta. The results showed that the physical structure in the anthology of Netra Cinta poetry used diction and concrete words that are disappointed. Anthology of Netra Cinta poetry typifies in straight stanzas. The dominant inner structure is the expression of feelings in the soul. The feeling depicted is a feeling of disappointment, sadness, pride and anger towards the state of the animal who is not good at taking advantage of opportunities.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Relay Writing method with the Onomatopoeic technique on writing poetry for class V at Hangan Elementary School. The object of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN Hangan as many as 25 people. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using triangulation data collection techniques, data analysis is inductive. Based on the results of the initial and final tests, it can be seen that the average score of students on the initial test is 47.6. Meanwhile, the average score of students on the final test, which is 73.2, is in line with the results of the paired sample t-test which obtained a sig(2-tailed) value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates an effect. So it can be said that there is an increase in the ability of fifth graders at SDN Hangan to write poetry in terms of determining the themes, messages, diction, images and figure of speech contained in poetry, although there are still some students who are not optimal in using pictures and pictures.]]>

<![CDATA[The title of this research is the analysis of figurative language in the poem “Dalam Diriku” by Sapardi Djoko Darmono. This research is a form of appreciation for literary works, especially poetry in the context of developing Indonesian language and literature. This study aims to describe and interpret the use of language style in the poem entitled “Dalam Diriku” by Sapardi Djoko Darmono. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The technique for collecting data in this study used content analysis in the poem. This research explains phenomena throught the process of observing cases or phenomena, then being interpreted, interpreted, and then formulating conclusions. The use of language style is a component that often exists in works of fiction and non-fiction in Indonesian. The results of this study show that the poem “Dalam Diriku” contains repetition, metaphor, personification, paradox to hyperbole language styles. The use of language style in the poem needs to be known as the beauty of the effect in a story so that it seems lively and interesting so that the message contained in it is easier to understand.]]>
