Abstract

This research aims to identify ethical-philosophical issues arising from AI technology's presence in the academic world and identify the impact of AI's presence in the academic world on humanity's future as global citizens. This research is important to carry out because of the widespread use of artificial intelligence technology in education, which indirectly exacerbates the problems faced by humans as global citizens. This research serves as a model for investigating philosophical issues within the field. This type of research is often referred to as library research. The research process consists of three stages: data collection, data classification, and data analysis. The methodical elements used are description, language analysis, analytics, synthetics, and interpretation. The research results show: 1) The main ethical and philosophical problems that arise from AI's presence in the academic world are the crisis of human autonomy, the crisis of academic honesty, and the crisis of responsibility. 2) The presence of AI in the academic world impacts the future of humans as global citizens by causing a crisis of academic honesty. This crisis has the potential to escalate into a more serious issue, specifically an academic identity crisis, as the use of artificial intelligence becomes more commonplace in almost all aspects of human life. The presence of AI in the academic realm, particularly in relation to humanity's future as global citizens, intensifies the issue of identity crises.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tradisi Begawi Cakak Pepadun Lampung dengan makna filosofis yang ada di dalam tradisi tersebut. Muara dari kajian ini adalah untuk melestarikan kekayaan budaya bangsa Indonesia, yang eksistensinya mulai terancam di tengah perkembangan arus globalisasi saat ini. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif tentang pandangan filosofis di lapangan. Objek material dari penelitian ini adalah tradisi Begawi Cakak Pepadun Lampung. Objek formal atau sudut pandang dari penelitian ini adalah filsafat, khususnya filsafat kebudayaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara etimologis Begawi berarti pekerjaan atau membuat gawi (kerja), sedangkan cakak pepadun berarti naik pepadun yaitu peristiwa pelantikan Penyimbang sebagai keturunan dari raja Lampung. Prosesi ini terdiri atas cangget, ngediyou, nigel, potong kerbau, sesemburan, pineng di paccah aji, dan cakak pepadun. Setiap tahapan dan kelengkapan ucapara tersebut mengandung nilai-nilai filosofis, yang meliputi nilai spiritual, nilai moral, nilai sentimental, nilai material, nilai sosial, nilai ekonomi, nilai estetika, dan nilai hiburan.

Abstract

This study addresses the significance of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in equipping students for the challenges of Society 5.0. It evaluates the effectiveness of In-House Training (IHT) in improving teachers' competence in designing HOTS-based questions. A School Action Research (SAR) design was employed, consisting of two cycles. The study involved eight teachers selected based on availability and specific study needs. Data were collected using observation and questionnaire methods. Observations assessed teachers' ability to develop HOTS questions, while questionnaires measured their self-efficacy. The findings demonstrated a notable improvement in teachers' ability to create HOTS questions. The average score increased from 68.75 in the first cycle to 86.25 in the second cycle. Similarly, teachers' self-efficacy showed improvement, with mean scores rising from 3.63 in cycle I to 3.96 in cycle II. The results suggest that IHT was effective in enhancing teachers' knowledge, skills, and confidence in developing HOTS-based questions. The significant increase in both HOTS question development and self-efficacy between cycles indicates the training’s success in building teacher competence. In-House Training (IHT) is an effective strategy for improving teachers' ability to design HOTS questions, which are essential for preparing students to meet the demands of Society 5.0. Further research could explore the long-term impacts of IHT on teacher performance and student outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and elaborate on the philosophical issues inherent in the concept of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (Pancasila Student Profile) as the epitome of human idealism in Pancasila intended for implementation through educational means in Indonesia. This matter holds significance for examination due to the Pancasila Student Profile serving as the ultimate destination or objective of the complete educational system in Indonesia. Philosophical scrutiny of this concept is imperative to ensure alignment between the Pancasila Student Profile and the notion of the Indonesian ideal individual in line with Pancasila’s principles. This investigation adopts a qualitative method to delve into philosophical quandaries within this domain. The data utilized in this research comprises literary works addressing the Pancasila Student Profile, which are then philosophically scrutinized based on four key attributes: radical, critical, systematic, and comprehensive. The findings of this study reveal a philosophical dilemma within the Pancasila Student concept, specifically the underrepresentation of two vital dimensions of human nature in Pancasila, namely materiality and individuality. Consequently, it is recommended that a reassessment and restructuring of the Pancasila Student Profile concept be undertaken to ensure the realization of the ideal human archetype of Pancasila without straying from the educational objectives outlined in Law No. 20 of 2003 regarding the National Education System.

Abstract

AbstractThis research addresses the problem of low cognitive mathematics ability of grade 5 students, especially on the topic of geometry. The solution is done by implementing the Multi Representation Discourse model (MRD) assisted by the Realistic Mathematics Education approach (RME). This study used a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group framework. The study population consisted of 107 students in the Klaten coordination area, with a random sample of 44 participants. A 7-item essay-based test was used as the research instrument to measure cognitive ability.  Hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.047 and a gain score of 62.01%, indicating the effectiveness of MRD with the RME approach in improving mathematics cognitive ability. In addition, the mean difference of 32.28 between the pretest and posttest scores indicated a substantial improvement in students' cognitive abilities after the MRD model with the RME approach was applied.Keywords: mathematic’s cognitive ability, multi-representant discursive model, rme approach.                                                              AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas masalah rendahnya kemampuan kognitif matematika pada siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar, khususnya pada topik bangun ruang. Solusi yang dilakukan dengan mengimplementasikan model Multi Representasi Diskursi (MRD) berbantuan pendekatan matematika secara realistik (RME). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 107 siswa di wilayah Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah dengan sampel acak sebanyak 44 peserta. Tes berbasis esai sebanyak 7 soal digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif.  Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,047 dan gain score sebesar 62,01%, yang mengindikasikan keefektifan MRD dengan pendekatan RME dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif matematika. Selain itu, perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 32,28 antara nilai pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan yang substansial dalam kemampuan kognitif siswa setelah diberlakukan model MRD dengan pendekatan RME.Kata kunci: kemampuan kognitif matematika, model diskursif multi-representatif, RME.

Abstract

This research examines and compares the perspectives of Stoicism and Al-Kindi on the concept of happiness. The investigation is warranted by the growing societal struggle with discontent, exacerbated by modern challenges such as rising mental health issues and weakened social bonds. While Stoicism has resurged as a popular framework for addressing these struggles, it has notable limitations—chiefly its neglect of the social and spiritual dimensions essential to holistic well-being. In contrast, Al-Kindi's ethical framework offers a compelling alternative, integrating intellectual, social, and spiritual elements into the pursuit of happiness. This research is a qualitative, comparative study within the field of philosophy, employing literature review and specific methodological components for analysis. The findings reveal that while Stoicism and Al-Kindi’s perspectives on happiness are distinct, they share core principles. Both reject material indulgence as the basis for happiness, emphasizing self-improvement through reason and morality. Stoicism defines happiness as a state of inner tranquility, achieved through mental discipline, self-regulation, and acceptance of fate. Al-Kindi, however, presents a more comprehensive view, framing happiness as an interplay of intellectual, moral, social, and spiritual dimensions. الملخص الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو دراسة ومقارنة وجهات نظر الرواقيين والكنديين حول السعادة. إن هذه القضية مهمة للفحص بسبب انتشار ظاهرة عدم الرضا الإنساني، والتي زادت في ظل التعقيدات الحديثة مثل مشاكل الصحة العقلية وضعف الروابط الاجتماعية. إن الفلسفة الرواقية، على الرغم من شعبيتها باعتبارها وجهة نظر للتغلب على عدم الرضا البشري، لها مع ذلك حدود صارخة - وخاصة إهمالها للأبعاد الاجتماعية والروحية. وقد برز الإطار الأخلاقي للكندي كبديل يدمج الأبعاد الفكرية والاجتماعية والروحية. هذا البحث بحث نوعي في مجال الفلسفة من نوع البحث المقارن. تم جمع البيانات في هذه الدراسة من خلال الدراسات الأدبية، وتم تحليلها باستخدام العناصر المنهجية في شكل الوصف، وتحليل اللغة، والتفسير، والترابط. وتظهر نتائج هذه الدراسة أن الرواقية والكندي لديهما وجهات نظر غنية ولكن مختلفة حول السعادة، مع بعض أوجه التشابه. يتفق كلاهما على أن السعادة لا تعتمد على الملذات المادية، بل على تطوير الذات من خلال العقل والفضيلة. يتم تعريف السعادة في وجهة النظر الرواقية على أنها حالة من الهدوء العقلي (الطمأنينة)، والتي يتم تحقيقها من خلال التمرين العقلي، وضبط النفس، وقبول المصير. أما الكندي فلديه رؤية أكثر تعددية الأبعاد. السعادة عند الكندي تشمل الأبعاد الفكرية والأخلاقية والاجتماعية والروحية. المعرفة هي المصدر الرئيسي للسعادة، لأنه من خلال المعرفة يستطيع الإنسان فهم الحقيقة والتقرب من الله. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan membandingkan perspektif Stoikisme dan Al Kindi tentang kebahagiaan. Persoalan ini penting untuk diteliti karena meluasnya fenomena ketidakpuasan manusia, yang telah meningkat di tengah kompleksitas modern seperti masalah kesehatan mental dan melemahnya ikatan sosial. Stoikisme, meskipun populer sebagai pandangan untuk mengatasi ketidakpuasan manusia, namun demikian memiliki keterbatasan yang mencolok—terutama pengabaiannya terhadap dimensi sosial dan spiritual. Kerangka etika Al-Kindi muncul sebagai alternatif, yang mengintegrasikan dimensi intelektual, sosial, dan spiritual. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif bidang filsafat dengan jenis penelitian komparatif. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, dan dianalisis menggunakan unsur metodis berupa deskripsi, analitika bahasa, interpretasi, dan koherensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Stoisisme dan Al-Kindi memiliki pandangan yang kaya namun berbeda tentang kebahagiaan, dengan beberapa kesamaan. Keduanya sepakat bahwa kebahagiaan tidak tergantung pada kenikmatan material, melainkan pada pengembangan diri melalui rasio dan kebajikan. Kebahagiaan dalam pandangan Stoisisme didefinisikan sebagai keadaan jiwa yang tenang (ataraxia), yang dicapai melalui latihan mental, kendali diri, dan penerimaan terhadap takdir. Al-Kindi memiliki pandangan yang lebih multidimensional. Kebahagiaan menurut Al Kindi mencakup dimensi intelektual, moral, sosial, dan spiritual. Pengetahuan menjadi sumber utama kebahagiaan, karena melalui pengetahuan manusia dapat memahami kebenaran dan mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan.

Abstract

Amidst growing concerns over early literacy challenges in rural Indonesia, this study examines the impact of interactive multimedia on improving early reading skills among first-grade students at Banaran 2 Public Elementary School, in Temanggung Regency. The research adopts a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model and employs a quasi-experimental time-series design. A purposive sampling method was used to select 21 first-grade students based on their early reading difficulties and access to computer facilities. Data collection methods included expert validation, questionnaires, interviews, observations, and reading tests. Findings indicate that the developed multimedia is highly suitable (91.67%) and practical (94.87%) for early reading instruction. Statistical analysis (p < 0.005) confirms its significant impact on students' reading abilities. These results suggest that interactive multimedia can serve as an effective tool for enhancing early literacy in elementary education, particularly in resource-limited settings. To maximize its potential, future research should explore its long-term effects and adaptation in diverse linguistic and educational contexts, providing valuable insights for curriculum development and technology integration in early childhood education.

Abstract

The development of online tutoring services suggests that Indonesian education faces significant challenges. The purpose of this study is to investigate the issue of educational affordability that arises as a result of the creation of numerous tutoring services in Indonesia. This study used a descriptive research model and a qualitative methodology. This research data takes the form of literature from studies on the existence of elementary school tutoring institutions in Indonesia with all its issues, which are examined from a phenomenological point of view. The findings indicated that public mistrust in the caliber of education provided in formal schools contributed to the rise of online tutoring services at the elementary school level. Students are beginning to choose to employ online tutoring services due to tedious coursework and the ineffectiveness of learning implementation in traditional elementary schools. This article suggests that the government cooperate with the private sector and education innovators to create media and learning methods that are efficient, enjoyable, and still affordable for everyone to address the deficiencies in Indonesia's formal education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the application of the group investigation model to strengthen students' democratic attitudes in the Pancasila Education course. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted at Yogyakarta State University in the undergraduate department of education management in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, involving 46 students as the main informants. The results showed that the application of the group investigation model in the active learning process, both in class and through WhatsApp groups, was facilitated by a discussion sheet containing responses, suggestions, and questions that had to be filled in by several groups of listeners. The discussion was conducted after the presenting group delivered its topic, where the listening group gave responses to the presenting group. This democratic attitude emerges due to students' active participation in the learning forum, which includes freedom to participate, freedom of expression, and the development of collaborative attitudes. Thus, the group investigation model improves the understanding of the material and shapes students' characters to be more democratic and collaborative in their interactions with others.

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan adalah salah satu bidang yang paling dinamis di dalam kehidupan bangsa dan negara Indonesia. Berbagai perubahan dan penyempurnaan senantiasa dilakukan guna terselenggaranya sistem pendidikan yang tepat bagi warga negara. Persoalannya, namun demikian tidaklah semudah yang dibayangkan, karena berbagai persoalan baru masih saja muncul di dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Oleh karena alasan ini pula berbagai macam praktek pelaksanaan pendidikan telah dilakukan secara berulang-ulang misalnya dengan mengubah kurikulum pendidikan nasional. Salah satu faktor yang penting di dalam keseluruhan proses perubahan tersebut terletak pada persoalan standar etis pelaksanaan pendidikan di Indonesia, yang berkaitan dengan standar etis atau baik dan buruknya pelaksanaan pendidikan di Indonesia. Perubahan tersebut bukan hanya dimaksudkan untuk penyempurnaan di dalam pelaksanaan sistem pendidikan nasional, tetapi juga dimaksudkan agar pelaksanaan pendidikan di Indonesia bisa sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, khususnya di era globalisasi.Kata kunci: pendidikan, filsafat, etika, paradigma, Pancasila
