Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the form of coercion (threats) and forms of consensus (agreement) contained in the analyzed novel. This research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that first, Coercive is a position where ruling party member threat to the party who mastered to achieve goals which is desired. Coercive form (threat) to the character Zaliman (Bagus) who applies a lot policies that are deemed unreasonable. The policy contains prohibitions and rules involving people's private lives and supported by strict supervision in its application, prohibitions such as the use of the vowel E in both pronunciation and writing. Second, convention is a agreement or agreement achieved through and mutual understanding for achieve what you want. The form of the convention (agreement) can be seen in the form of decision making by Zaliman (Bagus) and his cronies who dominate the minds of the people to agree to all the rules that have been set, such as the establishment of the basic constitution of Wiranacita.Keywords: Hegemony, Coercive, Consensus

Abstract

Abstract.This The Use of Metaphors in the Anthology of  Mantera Cinta Poems by Rusdin Tompo (Stylistic Studies). This study aims to describe the form and meaning of the metaphors contained in the anthology of the analyzed poetry. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data used are words or groups of words that are shown as metaphors in the anthology of the poem Mantera Cinta by Rusdin Tompo. The data source used is the Anthology of Mantera Cinta Poetry by Rusdin Tompo. The approach used is Stylistics. The results of this study indicate that there are 3 out of 6 forms of using metaphors according to Enkvist, namely packages that wrap the core of pre-existing thoughts, choices between various existing statements, and deviations from norms and rules. The meaning contained in each poem was analyzed according to a keraf view. Based on this, it was found that the meaning of the use of metaphors in the poetry contained in Rusdin Tompo's anthology is an indirect meaning, then the dominant meaning of poetry is more directed to a man's love for his lover.Keywords: Metaphor, Stylistics, and Poetry

Abstract

Abstract.This study aims to describe the representation of immanence, interconnectedness, and caring lifestyle of Starhawk contained in the collection of short stories Lakon Hidup which is used as the source of the analyzed data. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by describing the data obtained based on the theory of Spiritual Ecofeminism Starhawk. The data source of this research is a collection of shorts stories on the life play page published by Kompas in 2017-2021 as many as 5 short stories. The result of this study is to indicate the woman’s representation in short stories as a symbol of fertility and mother role in nature preservation. Keywords: Ecofeminism, Nature Spirituality, Starhawk Spritual Ecofeminism.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the form of female language in terms of (1) subject position, (2) object position, (3) reader position in Ayu Utami's novel Manjali using Sara Mills' Perspective Critical Discourse Analysis theory. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with critical discourse analysis theory from Sara Mills perspective. Source of research data is the novel Manjali by Ayu Utami. The research data are in the form of dialogue quotes, monologues and inner narratives as data sources. Data collection techniques using hermeneutic techniques, namely reading, note-taking and summarizing techniques. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions.The results of this study indicate that there are 3 forms of female language. First, the form of female language is found based on the position of the subject Second, the form of female language is found based on the position of the object.Third, forms of female language are found based on the position of the reader through mediation processes and cultural code processes.Keywords: Critical Discourse Analysis; Women’s Language; Roman.
