Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Education teachers in attracting students' interest in learning Islamic Education subjects in vocational high schools. This study was motivated by low student participation, a lack of variety in teaching methods, and minimal use of technology by teachers, which resulted in a monotonous and less conducive classroom atmosphere. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The main informants are Islamic Education teachers, with the principal and vice principal of curriculum as secondary data sources. The results show that the role of teachers in attracting students' interest in learning is still not optimal in three main aspects: personal interest, situational interest, and psychological interest. Teachers have not fully encouraged active student involvement, created enjoyable and relevant learning, and developed critical thinking skills. In addition, creativity in delivering material, effective interaction, and the use of technology still need to be improved. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of innovation in Islamic Religious Education learning strategies in order to be able to stimulate students' interest in learning in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cross-cultural factors on ethical marketing practices and consumer trust, with Balinese cultural values serving as a moderating variable in the hospitality sector of MSMEs in Bali. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was used through a survey of 200 respondents, and the data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that four dimensions of Hofstede's culture have a significant effect on ethical marketing practices, namely Individualism vs. Collectivism (β = 0.221; p < 0.001), Power Distance (β = 0.103; p < 0.05), Uncertainty Avoidance (β = 0.189; p < 0.01), and Long-Term Orientation (β = 0.267; p < 0.001), while Masculinity vs. Femininity was not significant (p > 0.05). Ethical marketing practices have a strong influence on consumer trust (β = 0.612; p < 0.001), and Balinese cultural values (Tri Hita Karana) strengthen this relationship (β = 0.167; p < 0.01). These findings emphasize the importance of synergy between universal ethical values and local wisdom in building trust and sustainability in culture-based tourism businesses

Abstract

Background: Early childhood settings require structured safety provisions due to children’s physical vulnerability and limited hazard awareness. Specific background: Although regulations and formal procedures exist, the consistency of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices varies across early childhood institutions. Knowledge gap: Limited research has examined differences in OSH practices based on accreditation levels within Early Childhood Education settings. Aims: This study analyzes OSH implementation and child accident prevention efforts in three institutions with different accreditation levels in Ketanggungan District, Brebes, Central Java. Results: Findings show incomplete and inconsistently applied procedures, inadequate facilities, limited teacher competence in safety practices, and reactive rather than preventive risk-control systems. Variations in OSH practices align with managerial capacity, resource availability, and cultural norms within each institution. Novelty: This study highlights disparities in OSH readiness across accreditation levels, offering a contextualized understanding of how structural and managerial conditions shape safety practices. Implications: Strengthening OSH implementation requires integrated procedures, routine training, structured risk management, and collaborative engagement among educators, parents, and school leaders to support safer and more sustainable learning environments. Highlights Variations in safety practices appear across institutions with different accreditation levels. Preventive measures remain limited due to insufficient procedures, facilities, and training. Strengthened collaboration among educators and parents supports safer learning environments. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of adherence to antiretroviral (ARV) therapy on viral load levels among People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in the working area of the Pasar Minggu Health Center. The study employed a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 80 PLHIV. Data were obtained from medical records and a validated adherence questionnaire. Analysis was performed using Chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression. The results showed that ARV adherence had a significant effect on viral load levels (p = 0.001; Exp(B) = 0.045), where non-adherent individuals had a 22-times higher risk of having a detectable viral load. The duration of HIV diagnosis was also significant (p = 0.006; Exp(B) = 0.086), while comorbidities were not statistically significant (p = 0.078) but clinically relevant (Exp(B) = 8.696). Both variables acted as confounders in the relationship between adherence and viral load. The study concludes that ARV adherence plays a crucial role in reducing viral load. Comorbidities and the duration of HIV diagnosis influence adherence and should be considered in therapeutic interventions. Education-based, counseling, and family-support interventions need to be strengthened to improve long-term adherence.
