Abstract

This research was motivated by the active learning of training participants in the learning process at UPTD BLK Padang Pariaman, which was thought to be because the instructor used learning media that was less than optimal. This research aims to see a description of the use of media used by instructors in the learning process. The learning activity of trainees in the learning process and the relationship between the use of media and the learning activity of trainees at UPTD BLK Padang Pariaman. This type of research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study was all training participants at UPTD BLK Padang Pariaman, totaling 32 people. Meanwhile, samples were taken using the cluster random sampling technique as much as 75% of the population of 32 people so that the sample taken was 24 people. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire which will be distributed via Google Form. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses a percentage formula and to look for relationships using the rank order formula. The results of this research indicate that instructors have not used media optimally in the learning process so that the trainees' active learning in the learning process is low. There is a significant relationship between media use and the active learning of training participants at UPTD BLK Padang Pariaman.Keywords: use of media, learning activity

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat pendidikan di Kelurahan Dilam, Kecamatan Bukit Sundi, Kabupaten Solok, akibat tidak tepat pelaksanaan dana bantuan PKH. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran tingkat pendidikan masyarakat dan mengetahui hubungan pelaksanaan dana bantuan PKH dengan Tingkat Pendidikan di Nagari Dilam Kecamatan Bukit Sundi Kabupaten Solok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat penerima manfaat PKH di Kecamatan Dilam, Kecamatan Bukit Sundi, Kabupaten Solok yang telah menerima dana bantuan pada tahun 2021 hingga tahun 2023 dengan total 280 keluarga penerima manfaat. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik stratifid random sampling, sehingga jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 11% dari 280 sehingga diperoleh penerima PKH sebanyak 31 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden penelitian, persentase digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data untuk mencari korelasinya dengan menggunakan rumus product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan dana bantuan pada PKH belum optimal. Tingkat pendidikan di Nagari Dilam Kecamatan Bukit Sundi Kabupaten Solok masih tergolong rendah. Abstract

This research was motivated by the low discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang, which was thought to be due to interest. This research aims to see a picture of interest in taking part in extracurriculars, see a picture of the discipline of scout members, and see the relationship between interest in taking part in extracurriculars and the discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative correlational. The population of this study was 24 active scout members from SMP Negeri 3 Padang. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using the target sampling method, so that the total sample taken by the researchers was 19 people. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. Meanwhile, the data analysis method in this research is the Spearman Rank correlation method. The results of this research indicate that members' interest in participating in scout extracurriculars and the discipline of scout members is low and there is a relationship between interest in participating in extracurricular activities and the discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang. It is recommended that coaches be more creative in developing programs for scout extracurricular activities so that members' interest and discipline increases. Suggestions for future researchers are to be able to identify other variables besides interest in participating in extracurricular activities that can have an influence on the discipline of scout members. Keywords: Scouting Interests, Disciplines, Extracurriculars.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between program implementation and students' interest in participating in judo extracurriculars at Genus Vocational High Scholl Bukittinggi. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population of this study was the elevent and twelve class of Genus Bukittinggi Vocational School students, namely  35 students. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using a probability sampling technique, so the number of samples for this research was 30 Genus Bukittinggi Vocational School students. Data collection techniques through distribution of questionnaires to research respondents, data analysis techniques using percentages to find correlations using the product moment formula. The results of this research are: 1.) The implementation of the judo extracurricular program at GENUS Vocational School, Bukittinggi City is low, 2.) Student interest in participating in judo extracurriculars at GENUS Vocational School, Bukittinggi City is low and 3.) There is a significant relationship between the implementation of extracurricular programs and student interest. Participated in extracurricular judo at Gema Nusantara Vocational School, Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This community service program addressed the problem of corn husk waste and limited economic opportunities for housewives in Nagari Lareh Nan Panjang, West Sumatra. Corn husks, usually discarded or burned, pose environmental challenges while holding potential as raw material for handicrafts. The activity aimed to empower young mothers by equipping them with practical skills to process corn husks into marketable products, thereby supporting household income and reducing waste. The method applied included a systematic approach consisting of needs assessment, community engagement, training, mentoring, and the formation of home industry groups. Training was conducted over four days, combining theoretical sessions and practical workshops on producing items such as tissue boxes, decorative flowers, and wall ornaments. Mentoring was provided to strengthen product quality, packaging, and digital marketing skills. The results showed significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, skills, and motivation. Several products were successfully created, and a community-based business group was established with official recognition from the local government. The program not only enhanced household income but also fostered environmental awareness and community cooperation. Overall, the initiative proved effective as a sustainable empowerment model that combines environmental management with economic development.Keywords: community empowerment, corn husk waste, handicraft training, women’s economic development, sustainable livelihood.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan lele merupakan salah satu sektor perikanan air tawar yang berpotensi besar dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan dan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Namun, berbagai tantangan teknis dan manajerial sering kali menghambat optimalisasi produktivitas dan pengelolaan lingkungan yang belum optimal. Artikel ini akan membahas mengenai penguatan kapasitas Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (POKDAKAN) melalui pendekatan partisipatoris yang dipadukan dengan Metode M6 dalam budidaya ikan lele. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi meliputi rendahnya produktivitas, tingginya tingkat mortalitas ikan, keterbatasan akses pasar, serta tantangan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Kegiatan awal dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, serta dilanjutkan melalui pendampingan, serta monitoring selama delapan minggu terhadap 10 orang pembudidaya lele di Nagari Singguling, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, Sumatera Barat. Hasil monitoring menunjukkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (survival rate) ikan lele berkisar antara 57,1% hingga 74,2%, dengan rata-rata 65,11%. Faktor utama yang memengaruhi adalah penyesuaian pakan, fluktuasi kualitas air, dan kepadatan tebar. Selain itu, pendekatan partisipatoris mendorong keterlibatan aktif pembudidaya dalam pengambilan keputusan, sementara Metode M6 memberikan panduan teknis yang sistematis. Kombinasi kedua pendekatan ini terbukti meningkatkan literasi teknis, menumbuhkan tanggung jawab kolektif, serta memperkuat keberlanjutan budidaya lele. Dengan demikian, strategi integratif ini dapat menjadi model efektif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, kemandirian pembudidaya, serta keberlanjutan lingkungan dalam budidaya ikan lele.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the observed lack of single parent family support for adolescent social behavior, particularly in the emotional and informational aspects, and the poor communication established between single mothers and adolescents within single parent families. The objectives of this research were to determine: (1) the description of single parent family support; (2) the description of adolescent social behavior; and (3) the relationship between single parent family support and adolescent social behavior in Koto Baru Village, Air Hangat District, Kerinci Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research population comprised adolescents aged 15–18 years from single parent families in Koto Baru Village, Air Hangat District, Kerinci Regency. The research sample was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection utilized a questionnaire as the main instrument. The data analysis techniques applied were the percentage formula and the Product Moment correlation formula. The research findings indicated that: (1) single parent family support was categorized as low; (2) adolescent social behavior was categorized as poor; and (3) there is a significant relationship between single parent family support and adolescent social behavior in Koto Baru Village, Air Hangat District, Kerinci Regency. Keywords: Family Support, Single Parent, Social Behavior, Adolescent
