Abstract

Society has a journey of cultural and historical values. Museums have a role in preserving the heritage of cultural and historical values through their collections. The heritage of cultural and historical values in the museum has a character load that has implications for strengthening the character Profil Pelajar Pancasila which can be taught to future generations. This makes researchers want to develop the concept of cultural and historical values which have implications for the character content of Profil Pelajar Pancasila at one of the museums in Madura, the Sumenep Palace Museum with grounded theory. The data collection method used theoretical sampling, collected through observation, literature study, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique consists of 3 stages, namely open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results show that the Sumenep Palace Museum has cultural values both intangible and tangible. Intangibles tend to lead to leadership values that must be possessed by leaders, namely intellectuality, spiritual attitude (sokkla), andhap asor (humble), openness, and civility. Then tangibles can be taken from the buildings in the Sumenep Palace Museum complex. Historical values can be taken from the court figures of the Sumenep Palace, such as Bindara Saod, Panembahan Somala, and Sultan Abdurahman Pakunataningrat. Cultural and historical values will always be integrated into shaping the character of Profil Pelajar Pancasila so that what is contained in the Sumenep Palace Museum becomes a teaching medium. Through these lessons, future generations admire the work created by the kings of Sumenep and provide inspiration that they have been able to produce a work.

Abstract

Abstract: The Hindu-Buddhist heritage sites in Indonesia, dating back to the kingdom era, bear witness to the diverse religious practices coexisting among the people. These historically significant sites are frequently utilized in history lessons to underscore the nation's tradition of tolerance. However, questions arise about the extent of teachers' awareness regarding the tolerance content within these heritage sites and their effective incorporation of such content into history classes. Recent phenomena, such as children mocking each other and using religious symbols for jokes, emphasize the need for a comprehensive understanding of tolerance in history education. This descriptive qualitative research focuses on exploring history teachers' perceptions of implementing tolerance character education in high schools in SMA Malang Regency, examining their knowledge of tolerance content within Hindu-Buddhist sites in Malang Raya and the teaching methods employed for Hindu-Buddhist material. Conducted through interviews and research documentation with history teachers at SMA Malang Regency, the study ensures data validity through source triangulation. This research also employs data reduction, presentation, and verification in the analysis. The findings reveal that history teachers possess a reasonably good understanding of Hindu-Buddhist heritage sites in Greater Malang. Notably, teachers are knowledgeable about the tolerance content found in sites like Singosari Temple, Sumberawan Stupa, and Jago Temple, connecting this content to architectural features, religious practices of the past, and their relevance to contemporary society. All informants unanimously stress the significance of imparting tolerance education in the classroom as a crucial measure to prevent national disintegration, considering Indonesia's diverse conditions.Abstrak:Situs peninggalan Hindu-Buddha di Indonesia yang berasal dari masa kerajaan menjadi saksi beragamnya praktik keagamaan yang hidup berdampingan di kalangan masyarakat. Abstract

The article discusses the role of Poetri Mardika in suppressing early marriage and polygamy during the colonial period in the Dutch East Indies. Poetri mardika was the first women's organization in 1912 during the national movement by boedi oetomo. The organization consisted of women and men who cared about the fate of women. They voiced their ideas through magazines. The position of women who are shackled by customary support makes them powerless to voice their rights. The research aims to examine polygamy and early marriage in colonial society using historical methods, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Heuristics were conducted by collecting primary sources from magazines and secondary books and journals with the keywords polygamy and early marriage. Criticism of primary and secondary data is internally selected to determine the authenticity of the source. Interpretation uses the lewis coser conflict approach. The result of the research is that the practice of early marriage occurs because the social system of society shackles and there is no power for women to reject the system. Meanwhile, polygamy that occurred in the 1900s had different intensities in each region. This practice had a negative impact on women, so Poetri Mardika tried to raise their status by paying attention through education and teaching. Through education, women can be independent and no longer depend on men so that they can express their rights and obligations without being hindered by the confinement of men.
