Abstract

Palu City, Indonesia, is highly vulnerable to multi-hazard disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, liquefaction, and fault lines), exacerbated by socioeconomic disparities and inadequate preparedness. Despite extensive hazard data, gaps persist in understanding social vulnerability dynamics in high-risk areas. This study assesses multi-hazard social vulnerability in Palu City to inform targeted DRR strategies. A mixed-methods approach integrates GIS-based hazard mapping (BNPB, 2023 data) with quantitative social vulnerability analysis (population density, gender, age, disability, education, and disaster preparedness groups) across East and West Palu. Results reveal homogeneous social vulnerability distribution, with coastal urban areas (e.g., Balaroa, Lere) facing the highest risk due to dense populations and limited resources. Disaster preparedness groups marginally mitigate vulnerability, but systemic gaps persist. The study underscores the need for inclusive, multi-hazard DRR policies prioritizing vulnerable groups and leveraging community-based interventions. Findings offer a replicable framework for other disaster-prone regions in Indonesia and globally.

Abstract

Islamic cities have a distinct spatial organization and architectural character deeply influenced by Islamic principles and historical context. Therefore, examining morphology provides invaluable insights into the socio-cultural dynamics and urban form components that have shaped these cities over centuries. This research aims to distinguish the distinctive features that define Banda Aceh as an Islamic city that could influence its resilience. Moves with three objectives: to delve into the history of Islam under different rulers, map the locations of historical areas as part of the urban form components, and examine the identified components' characteristics. Drawing upon the observation, latest satellite imagery, and historical archives, the study delves into the city's urban morphology and spatial organization, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of its Islamic urban form. The findings highlight historical area typologies based on governance timelines. Key finding portrays the survival of infrastructures, including mosques, commercial areas, and public spaces, which reflect cultural practices. The growth of Banda Aceh began from the western bank of the river. It also plays a role in shaping the city layout, initially with the main role of the river as a trade transportation route in the past. Studying the resilience of urban components can enrich urban planning studies and provide inputs for policymakers that there are socio-cultural elements in the city's physical structure that have endured over time, which can support efforts to enhance resilience in the future.

Abstract

Kabupaten OKU Selatan merupakan Kabupaten dengan potensi pergerakan tanah longsor paling banyak kedua di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan setelah Kabupaten Lahat yang mana semua kecamatan berpotensi bencana longsor. Kondisi ini semakin rentan karena keberadaan pembangunan jalan raya diantara lereng terjal, tebing dan jurang curam serta bersebelahan langsung dengan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) maupun danau yang mengakibatkan jalan menjadi lebih mudah mengalami kerusakan. Sehingga dampak tanah longsor tidak hanya mengancam jiwa bagi masyarakat yang melewati jalan tersebut, tetapi juga dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas dan distribusi pertanian serta kunjungan wisatawan. Tujuan dari peneitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis karakteristik tanah longsor di Kabupaten OKU Selatan. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara deskriptif kualitatif yang diawali dengan pengamatan pada lingkungan titik longsor, dilanjutkan dengan wawancara secara purposive sampling kepada Kepala Pelasana dan Kepala Seksi Pencegahan Kesiapsiagaan BPBD Kabupaten OKU Selatan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa zona daerah rawan bencana tanah longsor Kabupaten OKU Selatan dikelompokkan menjadi 3 kondisi yakni zona rawan, zona potensial dan zona stabil dengan 12 karaktersitik zona longsor. Kabupaten OKU Selatan memiliki 3 jenis tanah longsor yakni luncuran sebesar 54%, jatuhan sebesar 33%, dan aliran sebesar 13%. Tipologi longsor tipe B merupakan kondisi paling banyak ditemukan di Kabupaten OKU Selatan karena titik lokasi longsor berada pada daerah penyangga atau kaki perbukitan yang bersebelahan langsung dengan jalan, lahan perkebunan, kawasan permukiman, dan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) atau danau dengan kelerengan antara 21% - 40% dan ketinggian 500-2000 mdpl. Karaktersitik zona longsor ini sebagai informasi sekaligus pedoman awal bagi Pemerintah dalam mengambil tindakan ataupun keputusan terkait kebijakan, manajemen bencana longsor, pengurangan resiko bencana longsor ataupun penataan ruang berbasis bencana longsor.

Abstract

Status Assessment of E-Ticketing Sutainability for Trans Semarang Bus to Support Smart City using Multidimensional Scaling Approaches: One of the public service facilities using IT in the transportation sector is the eticketing of the Trans Semarang Bus. E-ticketing is a cashless bus ticket payment with the aim to facilitate the service process. The implementation of E- ticketing Trans Semarang Bus engine technology sometimes experiences the obstacles due to crowded service conditions, non-conducive network and signals, so the e-ticketing machine is error and unable to quickly detect data balance. The service clerk has not been able to be technically competent to deal with problems that occur suddenly when the e-ticketing machine is in trouble. The aim of conducting research is to assess the sustainability status of e-ticketing Trans Semarang Bus, which is viewed from the dimensions of input, process, and output, in attempt to determine the factors/attributes that influence the sustainability of the e-ticketing Trans Semarang Bus. The research employed descriptive qualitative-quantitative method with Multidimensional Scaling analysis. This research is expected to be an input in the formulation of the smart city development strategy of Semarang City Government, especially in the transportation sector. The results of the research show the sustainability status of e-ticketing Trans Semarang Bus on the good conditions of input dimension because it is supported by an integrated service, device and technology-oriented roadmap; integrated IT system framework in terms of hardware, software and networks; and IT network infrastructure. The sustainability status of e-ticketing Trans Semarang Bus is in good condition in the dimensions of the process which is supported by collaboration and cooperation among stakeholders; operational financing includes IT professionals, operations, maintenance. Meanwhile, the output dimension has a fairly sustainable status. This might be caused by other factors that need to be comprehensively evaluated.Keywords : Sustainability, Bus Trans Semarang, smart city, multidimensional scaling. Salah satu fasilitas layanan publik yang menggunakan IT di sektor transportasi adalah e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang. Eticketing merupakan pembayaran tiket bus cashless yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses pelayanan. Penerapan teknologi mesin e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang terkadang mengalami kendala akibat kondisi pelayanan yang ramai serta jaringan dan sinyal yang tidak kondusif, sehingga mesin e-ticketing menjadi error sehingga tidak mampu mendeteksi data saldo dengan cepat. Secara kompetensi teknis, petugas pelayanan belum mampu mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi secara tiba-tiba ketika mesin e-ticketing mengalami gangguan (trouble). Tujuan penelitian mengenai penilaian status keberlanjutan e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang yang ditinjau dari dimensi input, proses, dan output adalah untuk mengetahui faktor/atribut yang berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif dengan analisis Multidimensional Scaling. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan dalam perumusan strategi pengembangan kota pintar Pemerintah Kota Semarang khususnya sektor transportasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status keberlanjutan e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang pada dimensi input dalam kondisi baik karena didukung dengan roadmap terintegrasi yang berorientasi pada service, device, dan teknologi; framework sistem IT yang terintegrasi dari sisi hardware, software, dan jaringan; dan infrastruktur jaringan IT. Status keberlanjutan e-ticketing Bus Trans Semarang pada dimensi proses dalam kondisi baik karena didukung kolaborasi dan kerjasama antar stakeholders; pembiayaan operasional yang mencakup profesional IT, operasi, pemeliharaan, pelatihan, dan konsultan; dan interoperabilitas platform IT pada sisi aplikasi dan service. Sedangkan dimensi output memiliki status cukup berkelanjutan. Hal ini kemungkinan dapat disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang perlu untuk dievaluasi secara komprehensif.Kata kunci :Keberlanjutan, Bus Trans Semarang, Kota Pintar, Multidimensional Scaling.
