Abstract

Abstract: This research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of Google Sites-based outdoor learning in helping students at SMA IT Granada Samarinda comprehend landslide disaster risk mitigation. Choosing a quantitative method within a quasi-experimental framework, the study specifically adopted a posttest-only control group design. The researchers selected the sample using purposive sampling, which included an experimental class combining Google Sites with outdoor learning and a control class utilizing Flipbooks during outdoor lessons. The study gathered data through tests (multiple-choice and essays) as well as non-test instruments (observations and interviews), which were then analyzed using the Independent Samples T-test. The findings show that the experimental class achieved a mean posttest score of 82.10, whereas the control class obtained an average score of 82.93. Furthermore, the t-test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value above 0.05, indicating no statistically significant difference between the two groups. However, both digital media formats demonstrated high efficacy in improving student understanding, pushing learning outcomes into the very high category. Although both digital platforms significantly enhanced students' post-test outcomes, the integration of outdoor learning with either Google Sites or Flipbook showed no statistically significant difference in effectiveness.

Abstract

The productive age refers to the population aged 15–64 years. This study aims to analyze the projection of the productive age population in East Kalimantan by the year 2040. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature review method. The population and sample in this study are residents of East Kalimantan aged 15–64 years (productive age), with data collected through purposive sampling techniques and secondary sources. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative techniques based on the Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that East Kalimantan is projected to have a total population of 6,116,320 in 2040, with 4,223,680 individuals in the productive age group. This group is expected to experience the highest population growth rate and benefit from a significant demographic bonus. A large productive age population presents great potential for enhancing economic productivity; however, it may also pose social challenges if not accompanied by sufficient employment opportunities. Therefore, it is essential for the East Kalimantan government to develop inclusive policies that support education, skill development, and job creation to optimize the demographic bonus and minimize associated risks.
