Abstract

The context of this research begins from learning that is still centered on teachers and students who are still difficult to solve high-level problems that can d evelop 21st century skills. One of the solution to researchers can help students in mastering the skills is using learning media the form of student worksheet based on problem solving. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of applying student worksheet based on problem solving for student’s critical thinking skills in kinetic theory of gases and thermodynamics. This type of research is quasi experimental research and use posttest only control design. This research involved two sample classes, namely experimental class and control class, with different learning patterns and student worksheets. The research tool is the final test of the essay questions. The assessment is based on indicators of critical thinking skills and descriptive data analysis techniques. Based on the data analysis completed, student’s' critical thinking skills improved after applying student worksheet based on problem solving during their learning. The data analysis results show that the value of tcount>ttable (3.78>2.00) indicates that there is a difference at a significance level of 0.05, with dk=n1+n2-1 as degrees of freedom. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of student worksheet based on problem solving affects student’s acquisition of critical thinking skills in kinetic theory of gases and thermodynamics

Abstract

In physics learning tools, it is necessary to develop complex knowledge dimensions and high-level thinking skills for students according to the revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The situation in the field, the availability of content according to the dimensions of knowledge and cognitive processes in teacher learning tools that have not been developed properly. The solution is to design the results of the Dynamic Fluid requirements analysis model obtained in the lesson plans, teaching concepts, and instrument evaluations to be used as references to develop content and cognitive processes in other materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp development model. The research instrument is an interview instrument, an assessment instrument and instrument validation. The data were processed using the percentage technique and presented in graphs and tables to be analyzed, interpreted and described. The results of the analysis of the availability of content in teacher learning tools: 48% conceptual, 33% factual, 19% procedural, and 0% metacognitive. cognitive processing availability: remember 20%, understand 37%, apply 22%, analyze 12%, realize 8%, and create 1%. availability of scientific approach: 28% observing, 22% asking, 12% trying, 19% reasoning and 8% communicating. The correct assessment of aspects of content, language, graphics and presentation: RPP 90.5%, Teaching Concept 88.49%, and evaluation instruments 89.9%. Thus, due to the analysis of concept requirements for Dynamic Fluids, the keyword physics learning model meets the very valid criteria and is suitable for use in high school physics learning.

Abstract

Education in the 21st century is one of the characteristics of the era of globalization with the development of Science and Technology. 21st century learning really expects integrated science learning that can be packaged into one between chemistry, physics and biology learning materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect size and summary effect size of the use of integrated science modules with connected models based on four categories, namely grade level, learning materials, connected models and learning outcomes. The solution to overcome this problem is to conduct a meta-analysis of the effect of integrated science modules with connected models in science learning on junior high school students' knowledge. The research data consists of 10 national and 1 international articles and 9 theses. The data analysis technique in this study uses the calculation of the effect size in each article and the calculation of the summary effect size. Based on the data analysis, three results of this study can be stated. First, the effect size obtained on student learning outcomes vary. Second, the influence of integrated science modules with connected models at the level of class VII and class VIII with high categories. Third, the effect of integrated science modules based on learning many material are high.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Di masa pandemi Covid-19, pelaksanaan pembelajaran memberikan tantangan bagi guru untuk lebih terampil dalam mengembangkan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif, tidak terkecuali bagi guru-guru di Kabupaten Sijunjung, Sumatera Barat. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring masih ditemukan beberapa kendala terutama dalam menanamkan pemahaman konsep yang benar kepada siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika. Program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi guru dalam mengembangkan media interaktif dalam bentuk program resitasi yang berguna untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa selama learning from home. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 14 orang guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP fisika SMA di Kabupaten Sijunjung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai bulan Juli-Oktober 2021 dengan metode service learning. Ada tiga tahapan yang dilakukan selama kegiatan PKM yakni tahap eksplorasi, elaborasi, dan konfirmasi. Angket disebar kepada para peserta untuk mengumpulkan data terkait tingkat pemahaman terhadap materi pendampingan dan sekaligus sebagai evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukkan adanya respon positif dari peserta dan dapat menjadi alternatif solusi serta meningkatkan motivasi guru dalam mengembangkan program untuk pembelajaran fisika terutama di masa pembelajaran daring. Guru telah memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang baik terhadap materi pendampingan dan merasakan manfaat dari kegiatan ini. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan empat buah produk resitasi interaktif dengan kategori valid. Kata Kunci: MGMP fisika SMA, pembelajaran daring, pendampingan, program resitasi interaktif [English]: During the Covid-19 pandemic, instructional practices challenged teachers to be more skilled in implementing interactive learning methods, including teachers in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. One of the obstacles in online teaching and learning is developing students’ understanding of physics concepts. This community partnership program (PKM) aims to facilitate teachers’ knowledge and skills in developing interactive media, called recitation programs, that is useful for remediating students' misconceptions during learning from home. A total of 14 senior high school teachers who are members of physics teachers working group in the Sijunjung Regency were involved. The program was carried out from July-October 2021 with the service-learning method. There were three stages carried out, namely exploration, elaboration, and confirmation. Questionnaires were distributed to participants to collect data regarding the level of understanding of the mentoring material and activities. The results of this program show a positive response from the participants. It could be an alternative solution of teacher-related development programs. Also, it increases the teacher’s motivation in developing programs for physics learning, especially during the online learning period. The teachers have a good level of understanding of the mentoring material and feel the benefits of this activity. Moreover, the program also produces four recitation programs with a valid category. Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is now being implemented by the government. The goal of the 2013 curriculum is for pupils to have 4C and HOTS competencies. HOTS accomplishment indicators can be seen in relation to 4C abilities, which demand critical thinking from pupils. Students' mindsets will be trained to deal with complicated challenges by developing critical thinking abilities. However, real-world situations in schools demonstrate that pupils' critical thinking skills are still relatively low; the reason for this is that the 2013 curriculum has not been applied adequately in schools. As a result, the solution to this problem is to use problem-solving-based Student Worksheets as instructional resources in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to see how using problem-solving-based Student Worksheets on dynamic fluid content for class XI SMA affects students' critical thinking skills.Post-test Only, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design is a quasi-experimental research design used in this study. For the purpose of this study, the population consisted of students in class XI Natural Sciences. The example used is from class XI (Natural Sciences 1 and 2). This study just looks at the aspect of knowledge. Normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing were used to examine the research data at a significance level of 0.05..Based on the findings of the data analysis, it can be determined that the Problem Solving Model Student Worksheet has a stronger impact on critical thinking abilities in class XI Natural Sciences 2 than in class XI Natural Sciences 1.

Abstract

The 21st century skills integrates life career skills, learning and innovation-4C and information, media and technology skills. The components areneeded in learning process to make learning process more effective and efficient. The 21st century learning is transforming from teacher center to student center. Student center learning can use ICT based learning material in learning process. Based on preliminary research that use of ICT based learning material were still low. Solution of this problem is to develop ICT based learning material integrated CTL to improve students thinking skills. The method that used in this research was research and development (R&D). The object of research was mechanical wave to increase students thinking skills. The data collection instrument used were validity questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis. The validity instrument for ICT based learning material integrated CTL to increase students thinking skills consists of five components, namely material substance, visual communication display, learning design, software utilization and CTL assessment. The validation results obtained were 87,37 which was in the very good category. From the research can be concluded that ICT based learning material integrated CTL to increase students thinking skills are valid for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Education is an effective way to increase the quality of human resources; as a guide for implementing national education, curriculum is one of the most essential variables that can influence the learning process' performance. Graduate competency is one of the educational criteria, and it may be attained by employing the appropriate learning model in the teaching and learning process. One of the inquiry learning models is the most often utilized learning paradigm. The goal of this study is to determine the amount of the effect size of the inquiry model's influence on high school and junior high school physics results. A meta-analysis was used in this study.. Meta-analysis is a type of study that involves summarizing, examining, and analyzing data from a number of previous studies. Conducting a literature review, gathering data, examining, assessing, analyzing, and interpreting articles, and preparing report results are all stages of meta-analysis research. The statistical data must be included in the criteria for the articles used. There are two research findings that may be deduced from the data analysis results. First, as can be seen from the summary effect size values for high school 0.42 and junior high school 0.41, the influence of the inquiry learning model on learning outcomes is stronger at the high school level than at the junior high school level. The two summary effect sizes influence the inquiry learning model the most influence on the subject matter, namely the vibration and wave material of 0.73 and the lowest on the motion system material of 0.15.

Abstract

In preparation for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, science learning in schools still has problems, namely; 75% of science teachers have not been able to design real problems in everyday life as scientific contexts, and only 50% of science teachers can integrate science material in an integrated manner on worksheets, and there are still very few science teachers who are ready to implement the curriculum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing technical guidance (Bimtek) on developing scientific literacy-based worksheets on the competence of science teachers. The Bimtek activity consists of six stages: pretest, material debriefing, technical guidance (Bimtek), independent activities, evaluation monitoring, and posttest. From the Bimtek activities carried out for science teachers at MGMP Pesisir Selatan districts significantly increased teacher competence in developing scientific literacy-oriented worksheets. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was found that the post-test average score was higher than the pretest average score. The science teacher pretest average score was 39.95, while the science teacher posttest average score was 62.10. The percentage increase in teacher competence is 23%.

Abstract

A visual aid is an object that can be used as a support for physical science activities. Teaching aids can be designed by the teacher using readily available materials. The competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency has not been optimal in compiling PjBL-based Physics teaching aids student worksheets. So, the facts found in the field show that the professional competence and pedagogical competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency in physics learning are not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the competency of Physics teachers in designing PjBL-based teaching aids. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The treatment is in the form of assistance in making teaching aids based on PjBL. Bimtek activities in the form of practical assistance increase the competency of activity participants, which in this case are Physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency. The increase in the competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency in making PjBL-based physics teaching aids was 24.17%. In addition, the mentoring activities provided are effective for increasing the mastery of MGMP Physics teachers in the Pasaman Barat Regency of the PjBL model material. This activity is also helpful for teachers designing teaching aids to support Physics learning as an merdeka curriculum implementation

Abstract

Low students' physics learning outcomes are an important and major problem in achieving competency. The purpose of this research was to find out whether there was a significant effect of the Student Facilitator And Explaining (SFAE) cooperative learning model on the physics learning outcomes of class XI students of Senior High School. The type of research conducted was Quasi Experimental Research with the Post-test Only Control Group Design research design. In this study, the population was all class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains students at Senior High School who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample of this study was class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains 1 which was the experimental class and class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains 2 which was the control class. The research instrument consisted of a posttest and an attitude assessment sheet. The data analyzed in this study used descriptive analysis and a two-way similarity test at a significant level of 0.05 for student competencies consisting of knowledge competencies and that is, there is a significant effect of applying the Cooperative learning model of the Student Facilitator And Explaining (SFAE) type. ) on the physics learning outcomes of class XI students of Senior High School. This is supported by the results of data analysis on each of the knowledge and attitude competencies. With the two average similarity tests, the value of t count > t table was obtained, for knowledge competencies 2.05 > 2.00, and for attitude competencies 3.08 > 2.00.
