Abstract

Abstrak. Pemanfaatan tikar pandan duri, dan gula aren, di Desa Remukut sudah berlangsung sejak lama dan diwariskan turun temurun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis hasil produk hasil hutan bukan kayu berupa tikar pandan duri dan gula aren, selain itu untuk mengetahui nilai ekonominya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 19 kepala keluarga yang memanfaatkannya. Produk hutan bukan kayu yang dimanfaatkan berupa pandan duri yang diolah menjadi tikar, dan aren yang diambil niranya kemudian diolah menjadi gula. Berikut ini nilai ekonomi dari setiap produk per tahun, yaitu: tikar pandan duri sebesar Rp. 74.800.000, dan gula aren Rp. 37.310.000. Hasil per tahun memiliki nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 112.110.000 dengan rata-rata penghasilan per kepala keluarga dalam satu tahun adalah Rp. 5.900.526. The Economi Value of Some Untilization of Non-Timber Forest Products on the Income of the Remukut Village Community Pantan Weather District Gayo Lues RegencyAbstract. The use of thorn pandan mats and palm sugar in Remukut Village has been going on for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of non-timber forest products in the form of pandanus thorn mats and palm sugar, in addition to knowing their economic value. The sample in this study were 19 heads of families who used it. Non-timber forest products used are pandanus thorns which are processed into mats, and sugar palm which is taken from the juice and then processed into sugar. The following is the economic value of each product per year, namely: pandan thorn mats of Rp. 74.800.000, and palm sugar Rp. 37,310,000. The yield per year has an economic value of Rp. 112.110,000 with an average income per head of family in one year is Rp. 5,900,526.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kondisi zona riparian di sungai Senggapa Rainforest Lodge Kedah Kecamatan Blangjerango, Kabupaten Gayo Lues, Provinsi Aceh sebagian telah beralih fungsi menjadi lahan perkebunan. Alih fungsi lahan diduga berpengaruh terhadap kondisi zona riparian dan tingkat kesuburan tanah. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Februari hingga Juli 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode garis berpetak, terdapat 20 plot contoh dari 10 transek yang diletakkan pada sisi kiri dan sisi kanan sungai. Jenis vegetasi riparian yang ditemukan di sub DAS Senggapa Rainforest Lodge Kedah yaitu sebanyak 533 individu dari 52 jenis dan 29 suku. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi vegetasi riparian berdasarkan tingkat pohon dimiliki oleh Lithocarpus sp. sebesar 35,59%, INP tertinggi vegetasi riparian tingkat tiang juga dimiliki oleh  Lithocarpus sp. sebesar 34,26%, INP tertinggi vegetasi riparian tingkat pancang dimiliki oleh  Aglaia argentea dan Magnolia montana masing-masing sebesar 13,69%, INP tertinggi vegetasi riparian tingkat semai dimiliki oleh Laportea sinuata sebesar 15,56%, dan INP tertinggi vegetasi riparian tumbuhan bawah dimiliki oleh Colocasia esculenta sebesar 42,28%. Indeks keanekaragaman tingkat pohon sebesar 3,21 tergolong tinggi, tiang sebesar 2,93 tergolong sedang, pancang sebesar 3,15 tergolong tinggi, semai sebesar 3,07 tergolong tinggi, dan tumbuhan bawah sebesar 2,19 tergolong sedang. Tingkat kesuburan tanah pada stasiun I dan stasiun II sama-sama tergolong rendah, hal ini disebabkan oleh salah satu parameter kimia tanah yang dianalisis diperoleh sangat rendah. Pada area hutan lebat dan kawasan perkebunan memiliki kandungan P2O5 tanah yang tergolong sangat rendah, sehingga mempengaruhi penilaian tingkat kesuburan tanah di sub DAS Senggapa rainforest Lodge Kedah.Abstract. The condition of the riparian zone in the Senggapa Rainforest Lodge Kedah river of Blangjerango Subdistrict, Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh Province has partially switched functions into plantation land. The transfer of function is thought to affects the condition of the riparian zone and the fertility rate of the soil. The study was conducted from February to July 2021. The method used in this study was the line-transect method with 20 sample plots of 10 transects placed on the left and right sides of the river. There were 533 individuals of riparian vegetation found in the Sub watershed Senggapa Rainforest Lodge Kedah consisting of 52 species and 29 families. The highest Importance Value Index (IVI) of riparian vegetation based on the tree level was found in Lithocarpus sp. at 35.59%. The highest IVI of riparian vegetation at the pole level was also found in Lithocarpus sp. at 34.26%. The highest IVI of riparian vegetation at the stake level were found in Aglaia argentea and Magnolia montana at13.69%. The highest IVI of riparian vegetation at the seedling level was found in Laportea sinuata at 15.56%, and the highest IVI of riparian vegetation of the lower plants was found in Colocasia esculenta at 42.28%. The diversity index of riparian vegetation is 3.21 at the tree level which is classified as high, 2.93 at the pole level which is classified as moderate, 3.15 at the stake level which is classified as high, 3.07 at the seedling level which is classified as high, and 2.19 at lower plants level which is classified as moderate. The fertility rate of soil both at station I and station II is relatively low. This is due to one of the chemical parameters of the analyzed soil was obtained very low. In areas of dense forest and plantation areas, the P2O5 soil content is classified as very low, thus affecting the assessment of soil fertility level in sub watershed Senggapa rainforest Lodge Kedah.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kecamatan Pantan Cuaca merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang berada di Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Tata guna lahan di Kecamatan Pantan Cuaca umumnya dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat untuk tanaman perkebunan (kopi), tanaman semusim, maupun perpaduan antara keduanya. Pola pertanian yang dikelola masyarakat memiliki beberapa tipe antara lain agroforestri kopi, agroforestri pinus dengan sereh wangi dan tanaman semusim. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pola agroforestri yang mempengaruhi pendapatan masyarakat. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif, data diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan di lapangan melalui wawancara dan kuisioner kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif yaitu untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis data yang terkumpul dari hasil kuisioner, wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka.Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah nilai produk agroforestri yang memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap pendapatan masyarakat adalah dari tanaman kopi dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 69.525.176/tahun pendapatan responden dari pemanfaatan agroforestri sereh wangi mencapai Rp. 17.905.669/tahun, sementara pendapatan responden dari hasil pemanfaatan tanaman lainnya hanya sebesar Rp. 3730750/tahun. Dari data tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa pendapatan dari kegiatan pemanfaatan agroforestri memberikan hasil yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pendapatan dari pemanfaatan tanaman lainnya di luar produk agroforestri.Agroforestry Farmer income  in Gayo Lues District’s Pantan CuacaAbstact. Pantan Cuaca sub district is one of the sub-districts in Gayo Lues Regency. Land use in Pantan Cuaca District is generally used by the community for plantation crops (coffee), annual crops, or a combination of the two. The pattern of agriculture managed by the community has several types including coffee agroforestry, pine agroforestry with fragrant lemongrass and annual crops. The purpose of this study was to determine agroforestry patterns that affect community income. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis techniques, data obtained from observations in the field through interviews and questionnaires and then analyzed quantitatively, that is to find out and analyze the data collected from the results of questionnaires, interviews, observations and literature studies.The results obtained from this study are the value of agroforestry products  that provide the largest contribution to community income is from coffee plants with an economic value of Rp 69.252.176/year income of respondents from the use of fragrant cereals reached Rp 17.905.669/year, while respondents’ income from the use of other plants is only Rp 3.730.750/year. From these data it can be seen that the income from the use of agroforestry activities gives greater result compared to income from other uses outside of agroforestry product.

Abstract

Serai Wangi (Cymbopogon nardus) adalah tanaman yang menghasilkan Minyak Atsiri yang didapatkan dari hasil penyulingan daunnya. Seiring dengan terus meningkatnya harga Minyak Serai Wangi akan menyebabkan terus meningkatnya pembukaan lahan untuk kawasan pertanian khususnya Perkebunan Serai Wangi yang menjadi komoditi primadona di Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Laju pertumbuhan luas Perkebunan Serai Wangi di Kabupaten Gayo Lues dalam rentan waktu tahun 2009 sampai tahun 2019 adalah sebesar -1.48%. Berdasarkan pencetakan Perkebunan Serai Wangi baru terdapat penambahan luas 3.867 Ha dan 4.857 Ha lahan yang terkonversi dari Perkebunan Serai Wangi.

Abstract

Abstrak. Segmentasi responden merupakan suatu strategi yang bertujuan untuk membagi responden menjadi kelompok-kelompok yang berbeda berdasarkan karakteristiknya, baik pendapatan, pengeluaran, pengetahuan, dan lokasi pembelian produk.. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui segmentasi responden yang menggunakan produk Kahf berdasarkan karakternya di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli - Oktober 2022 di Universitas Syiah Kuala. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dengan bantuan program software SPSS (Statistic Package for the Social Sciens) versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik responden pengguna produk kahf terbanyak adalah dari kelompok responden dengan  pendapatan perbulan berkisar Rp.500.000 – Rp.1.000.000, dengan pengeluaran per bulan untuk personal care berkisar Rp.50.000 – Rp.150.000. Faktor utama responden dalam menggunakan produk personal care adalah faktor kebutuhan. Responden mengetahui personal care berlabel halal terutama dari iklan, dan membelinya di minimarket.Segmentation of Respondents who use Kahf products based on their characteristics among students at the University of Syiah KualaAbstract. Segmentation of respondents is a strategy that aims to divide respondents into different groups based on their characteristics, such as income, expenses, knowledge, and location of product purchases. The purpose of this study is to determine the segmentation of respondents who use Kahf products based on their characteristics students Syiah Kuala University. The research was conducted in July - October 2022 at Syiah Kuala University. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The total of samples in this research are 100 respondents. Data analysis used univariate analysis with the help of the SPSS (Statistic Package for the Social Sciences) software program version 25. The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents who used the most kahf products were from the respondent group with a monthly income ranging from IDR 500,000 – IDR 1,000,000, with spending for personal care ranges from IDR 50,000 – IDR 150,000. The main factor of respondents in using personal care products is the need factor. Respondents know about personal care labeled halal, especially from advertisements, and buy it at the minimarket.

Abstract

Abstrak . Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendesain dan membuat pengering tipe bak dengan sumber panas berasal dari tungku sekam kopi dan kolektor surya untuk pengeringan biji kopi, menguji kinerja dan menghitung konsumsi energi pengeringan alat yang telah dihasilkan dan menghitung biaya pokok pengeringan biji kopi dengan menggunakan alat yang telah dihasilkan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 (lima) tahapan meliputi; (1) rancangan struktural dan fungsional pengering tipe bak, tungku dan kolektor surya, (2) konstruksi alat hasil rancangan, (3) Uji fungsional. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengering surya tipe bak yang telah berhasil dirancang bangun. Selama 10 hari pengujian, dapat diketahui bahwa pengering dan kolektor surya sudah berfungsi dengan baik. Pengering ini masih banyak dipengaruhi oleh cuaca sehingga penggunaan tungku biomassa sebagai suplemen energi sangat diperlukan. Suhu udara rata-rata pengering atau bak yang dihasilkan berkisar antara 36,2 C sampai 48,6 C, sedangkan kelembaban relatif (RH) berkisar 43,6%-72,6%.  Design of Hybrid Dryer With Batch Type for Coffee Beans Abstract. The main aim of this study was to design and develop hybrid dryer in which heat sources are coming from coffee husks furnace and solar collectors used for coffee beans drying. We also tested its performance and calculated the energy consumption produced and total costs required to perform coffee beans drying. The study consisted of three stages; (1) structural and functional design of drying chamber, furnace and solar collector, (2) dryer construction and development, (3) functional test. The overall results of this study showed that solar collector was effectively working properly during the ten days drying. Yet, this developed dryer is still heavily influenced by the weather, and thus the use of biomass as an energy supplement is needed. The average air temperature produced by the dryer ranges between 36.2 oC to 48.6 oC, while the relative humidity (RH) ranging from 43.6% -72.6%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand awareness and perceptions of halal label on purchasing decisions for personal care products among students at the Syiah Kuala University (USK). The research was conducted in July - October 2022. This research used a quantitative descriptive method, using a purposive sampling technique. The number of samples was 100 student respondents at USK who had used Kahf's personal care products. The instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analytical method used is the classical assumption test analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing was carried out using SPSS software program version 25. The research data was normally distributed, and there were no symptoms of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The results showed that brand awareness and perceptions of halal label have a posive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for personal care products, either partially or both simultaneously. Regarding the brand awareness variable, the existence of the product is realized mainly from advertising, easy to find, and because of its variety. Meanwhile, in the halal label perceptions variable, consumers trust the product because of the halal label, the guarantee of halalness and the guarantee of being free from the use of haram ingredients. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that the decision to purchase personal care products can be explained by brand awareness and perceptions of halal labels by 53.3%, while the remaining 46.7% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. Abstract

The high production of avocados has driven the diversification of this commodity, such as as an alternative raw material for the production of vegetable oil, namely avocado oil. To produce products with better quality and efficiency, development is needed in one of the processes, such as the extraction stage. The discussion in this literature review includes the potential and development of extraction techniques such as cold-pressed extraction, leaching, microwave-assisted extraction/MAE and solvent extraction to maximize avocado oil production. Through a comprehensive analysis, this study aims to provide a better understanding of how these processes affect the characteristics and quality of avocado oil. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance for avocado oil producers and researchers in developing better avocado oil processing techniques, so that the economic potential and sustainability of avocado oil can be optimized.

Abstract

U-Neulheu, a traditional Acehnese cooking spice made from roasted grated coconut, is typically produced using simple and limited equipment, leading to an inefficient production process. As a result, both the quality and quantity of the final product are often suboptimal. The integration of technology into the production process remains far from ideal. The aim of this community service activity aims to enhance the quantity and quality of U-Neulheu produced by local partners through the implementation of Appropriate Technology, such as a roasted coconut grinder and dryer. These improvements are expected to increase the partner's income level and living standards. The partners involved in this activity are a group of housewives who produce U-Neulheu in Cot Preh Village, Kuta Baro Sub-District, Aceh Besar District. The methods of this community service activity include counseling, the implementation of technology in the form of a roasted coconut grinder and dryer, as well as technical guidance. The results of the activity show that the partners greatly benefited from the application of this Appropriate Technology. The use of the roasted coconut grinder and dryer in the U-Neulheu production process made it more effective and efficient in terms of both time and cost. In addition, the quantity and quality of U-Neulheu products have also increased. The quantity increase is measurable by the higher number of products produced (50%), while the quality improvement is evident in the smoother and more hygienic products.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the production and marketing of Lokan crackers in Gampong Lamseunia through a series of systematically designed activities. Initial SWOT analysis revealed that the production had great potential, though challenges like production consistency and lack of appropriate equipment persisted. Training sessions improved group members' skills in standardizing production processes, from material selection to packaging, and emphasized the importance of branding. Despite some success, achieving uniform cracker cuts remained a challenge, highlighting the need for future innovation in production tools. Packaging and branding training led to an increased understanding of the product's market value, and varied packaging options have since been adopted to attract consumers. Although significant sales growth has yet to be realized, marketing efforts through local kiosks and social media have expanded market reach and consumer awareness. The active participation and enthusiasm of the group members indicate a readiness to develop their business sustainably. Moving forward, the focus will be on optimizing digital marketing strategies and introducing production technologies to address current challenges. This program has laid a strong foundation for economic growth, empowering the local community to fully utilize the potential of Lokan crackers. It is expected that these initiatives will drive sustainable local economic development and improve the welfare of the Gampong Lamseunia community.
