Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe clitics in the Banjar Hulu language as an important element of the Malay language. The research method used is qualitative, and data collection techniques include listening, tapping, and analysis based on Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques. The results reveal the presence of 19 clitics in the Upper Banjar language, which are: 1) ai, 2) pang, 3) bahai, 4) ni?, 5) tu?, 6) heh, 7) leh, 8) lah, 9) kah, 10) pound, 11) nang, 12) no, 13) nya?, 14) gen, 15) neh, 16) zinc, 17) ku?, 18) you?, and 19) ha?, in both proclitic and enclitic forms. Among these clitics, three can function as both proclitics and enclitics. The identified meanings of the clitics include annoyance, affirmation, adverbs, doubts, inventions, distrust, astonishment, serving as auxiliary verbs, pronouns, adverbs, and clothing-related words. This research demonstrates that the Upper Banjar language has a greater number of clitics compared to Indonesian and English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Sebelah Apel’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru; 2) tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Juraij’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru. Penelitian dilaksanakan di awal semester ganjil 2023/2024 yang bertempat di Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Universitas Riau. Populasi penelitian adalah para mahasiswa baru yang melakukan submit di google form. Mereka berjumlah 87 mahasiswa yang terbagi dari 3 kelas yakni kelas 2023A, kelas 2023B, dan kelas 2023C. Sampel ditetapkan sebanyak 72 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara random dari setiap kelompok populasi. Untuk mengumpulkan data tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Sebelah Apel’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru digunakan kuesioner versi google form dalam bentuk kuesioner tertutup 5 opsi. Opsi yang dimaksud: 1) ikhlas menerima setiap keputusan; 2) menerima menantu atas dasar ketaqwaan; 3) tidak malu mengaku salah saat sadar berbuat salah; 4) patuh kepada perintah agama melalui orang tua yang taat; 5) pekerja yang sangat amanah dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan. Opsi tema utama untuk ‘Juraij’: 1) dendam membuat seseorang berupaya untuk membalasnya; 2) perkataan orang tua selalu makbul; 3) pemuda taat menjalankan ibadah; 4) kesaksian memukau dapat menyelamatkan seseorang dari tuduh keji; 5) penggembala yang mudah tergoda. Untuk memvalidasi data dan hasil analisis data digunakan daftar cek-ricek dengan sistem triangulasi waktu. Data tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Sebelah Apel’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru dianalisis menggunakan prosedur statistik deskriptif yang prinsip yakni modus dan persen. Hasil penelitian: 1) tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Sebelah Apel’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru adalah patuh kepada perintah agama melalui perintah orang tua; 2) tema utama cerpen profetik ‘Juraij’ menurut respon mahasiswa baru adalah kesaksian memukau dapat menyelamatkan seseorang dari tuduhan keji.

Abstract

Background: Kompetensi guru dalam mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal pada materi pembelajaran berbasis PPT penting dilakukan. Kombinasi antara teknologi dan kearifan lokal menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan bermakna bagi siswa. Tujuan pelatihan mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun materi pembelajaran berbasis PPT bermuatan lokal. Metode: Penelitian ini dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Pelatihan berfokus kepada guru-guru SMA sederajat dengan jumlah 9 orang di Desa Kepala Pulau, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau. Penetapan sampel dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Teknis analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif. Pelatihan ini dikatakan berhasil jika 75% aktivitas dan tujuan yang diharapkan tercapai. Hasil: Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi awal guru sangat beragaram. Pelatihan yang diberikan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemajuan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun materi berbasis PPT dengan rata-rata 91,67 berkategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan PPT sangat penting salam konteks menyusun materi berbasis kearifan lokal. Latihan yang intensif membantu guru menguasai teknis penggunaan PPT dan kearifan lokal sebagai bagian dari proses pembelajaran yang kontekstual.

Abstract

In the digital era, skills in using Microsoft Office are very important for village officials. This is the background of the Microsoft Office training for village officials in Desa Mekong, Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat, Kepualauan Meranti. The training materials include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. This training uses the “Learning by Doing” method which allows participants to immediately engage in practice after the presentation of the material. Participating village officials showed significant improvement in knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office. The enthusiasm of the participants and the assistance by the students also enriched the learning process, making it more interactive and in-depth. This training has positive implications for improving the competence of village officials and the quality of public services in Desa Mekong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam cerita rakyat Batang Tuaka. Cerita ini berasal dari Kecamatan Batang Tuaka, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Riau, dan mengisahkan tentang seorang anak bernama Tuaka yang durhaka kepada ibunya dan mendapat balasan atas perbuatannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi terhadap teks cerita rakyat Batang Tuaka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa cerita ini mengandung sembilan nilai pendidikan karakter, yaitu: keberanian, kepedulian, kerja keras, ketelitian, ketangguhan, musyawarah, tanggung jawab, religiusitas, dan kesadaran. Nilai-nilai tersebut mencerminkan pandangan hidup masyarakat setempat dan dapat dijadikan sebagai sarana pembelajaran moral serta pelestarian budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the central theme of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices using google classroom media; 2) supporting theme-1 of the anecdote text ‘Tangga Sakti’ according to students’ choices using google classroom media; 3) supporting theme-2 of the anecdote text ‘Tangga Sakti’ according to students’ choices using google classroom media. The study was conducted in the odd semester of 2024/2025 at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, University of Riau. The population consisted of students in the 3rd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year who submitted the Google form. There were 88 students divided into three parallel classes. The sample was determined to be 73 students based on the Slavin formula. This number is divided into 25 students in class 2023A and 25 students in class 2023C. Data on the theme of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices were collected using a closed questionnaire in the electronic version of the Google using google classroom media. This questionnaire is valid because it is compiled using objective and systematic procedures. The data on the main themes of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices were analyzed using descriptive statistical procedures that focused on frequency, percentage, and mode. The results of the study: 1) the central theme of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices is that people always choose the best; 2) the supporting theme-1 of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices is that a good way of processing determines the deliciousness of a dish; 3) the supporting theme-2 of the anecdote text ‘Gulai Nangka’ according to students’ choices is the shifting of focus from good things to bad things.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the reading attitudes of high school students in order to develop effective strategies to improve mastery of information through reading. The research was conducted using descriptive methods. The data source is students at the high school level with a limited sample of 31. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by observing the items that determine students' attitudes related to reading. The analysis process is strengthened by descriptive statistics. The results of the research show the order of students' reading attitudes from highest to lowest, namely: observing the title of the reading source before reading, looking for a safe environment, looking for reading friends, helping friends in understanding reading, looking for information related to the benefits of reading texts, reading anything, motivating yourself, asking friends or teachers if you don't understand, trying to do assignments, using free time to read, and implementing the principle of mandatory reading. All attitudes carried out by students have a positive impact on strengthening reading skills and ultimately broadening horizons and information.
