Abstract

This study aims to determine disaster education to increase environmental and disaster literacy, the role of the Disaster Agency in increasing knowledge about disasters. Another objective is to determine the behavior of student mothers in dealing with disasters through disaster literacy. The method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis. This method is applied because the research is related to the survey. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. The results are scrutinized through analysis of percentages. The results showed that the students' mothers were involved in disaster education so as to improve attitudes, knowledge and behavior. Another finding is that the students know about the role and function of disaster institutions to increase their literacy, usually information about disasters. Lastly, the behavior of the student's mother that has not been implemented properly, such as disaster risk reduction and environmental improvement of the house, includes not harvesting rainwater properly, less behavior in cultivating plants and fruit trees. At the same time, they have not created catchment areas for storing rainwater.Rsearch have contribution to goverment to create disaster literasy policy as well as the private sector which participate in disaster literacy

Abstract

Nature demaged enable to stop nature tourism because touris rely on nature conservation. Tourist areas such as Wisata Gunung Salak Endah in Bogor are tours that make nature a tourist attraction so that natural preservation must be maintained. The purpose of this study is to find the economic values of nature tourism, cultural values, and efforts to maintain the sustainability of the natural environment. The research uses qualitative methods. While the selection of respondents was done purposively. Data collection is done by in-dept-interview, documentation and observation. The results show that nature tourism empowers the community by involving the community in management such as ticket sales and parking management. At the same time, it provides opportunities for the community to trade food and beverages by opening stalls in the area and outside the area. People can even sell various traditional foods, handicrafts and sell ornamental plants. All produce economic value. There is even a unification of music in this tourist area because there is a grandfather who plays the harp in the midst of beautiful nature so that it is a natural therapy to entertain and relieve stress. Plus there is no change in the culture and social of the community because the Sundanese people in the area know enough about the foreign culture of the visitors' language but do not adopt it. At the same time, they introduce Sundanese culture by speaking Sundanese when someone buys food and drinks. When visitors do not understand, then continue with Indonesian.

Abstract

This study intends to find the social capital of the Madurese community who own a business in Bogor, West Java. The research method used is qualitative, while the sampling was carried out purposively based on the consideration that the respondents taken must already have a business in Bogor. The results show that the Madurese interviewed had strong social capital through religious recitations. The purpose of religious studies is to maintain a friendship with other members of the Madurese community, although the main goal is to discuss religion. Social life is also supported by mutual assistance activities between them so that someone who is struck by a disaster will be assisted by other members. People who are affected by disasters such as death will be assisted by other members even though they are not close relatives but are still of the same tribe, namely the Madura tribe. They will work hand in hand to raise money and give it to a grieving family. In addition, the people of Madura have a very good character in trying because they are hard workers, never give up, and are consistent. Meanwhile, the businesses that are mostly engaged in are scrap metal trading, business figures, satay entrepreneurs, and furniture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the Islamic religious values contained in the Betawi tradition, namely the Nyorog tradition. The nyorog tradition is a tradition that delivers food between family and neighbors which is usually carried out by Betawi residents at the time of Eid al-Fitr. This research uses qualitative research. The research approach used is Ethnographic Field research. The sample collection technique in this study used the purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that Nyorog is a tradition in Betawi society that still survives despite experiencing many forms of change. Another finding is that there are social values in the nyorog tradition including the value of friendship between friends because it is a place to build social relationships. Family relationships are also built socially between young people and older people. In addition, nyoroh also contains the value of social assistance because nyorog makes the community close so that if there is a disaster in the family, the family and neighbors will help. There is even a value of social approach to nyorog where when there is a new bride, both parties visit each family from the female and male sides. Nyorog also contains religious values, especially Islam because the behavior in Nyorog activities is in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Natural disasters as a result of natural damage due to human behaviour and natural behaviour. The main objective of this research is to find out the traditions and forms of social capital applied by the indigenous people of Urug from the perspective of key figures in dealing with disasters. At the same time find the mitigation that is done in the face of disasters. The research method used is the ethnographic method qualitatively. The sample collection technique in this study used the purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that helping is a tradition to help residents affected by disasters. The unaffected community provided basic needs including rice, food, clothing, blankets and shelter before aid from the government arrived. This tradition is related to the principle of brotherhood in society. The findings are that there is disaster literacy carried out to respond to disaster events such as the relationship between river areas and the potential for disasters to occur. Another way of responding is to become a trader outside the village, such as going to trade in big cities so that they get additional income to overcome economic problems. In fact, there is a wise way to do this, namely, when someone owes a debt to someone else, someone who has debt can replace the debt not with money but in other ways such as working at the person's place until the debt can be paid off.

Abstract

Residential areas are growing rapidly in big cities. The purpose of this study is to find social, cultural and economic values in residential areas. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the research sample used purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by means of in-dept-interview, documentation and observation. The results of the study indicate that social life, such as the establishment of social relations between residents, is associated with facilities such as mosques because mosques contain direct social values. Friendship is also built through religious activities such as tahlilan and at the playground. At the playground children can hone their social skills because they meet children who bring differences in terms of culture and religion. The advantage is that children can appreciate cultural and religious differences from an early age. Even hone togetherness because playing with toys requires other people. At the same time establishing friendship between mothers because when their children play in the garden, the mothers will supervise so that there is a greeting between mothers. Economically, traders may enter residential areas so that traders can profit economically. At the same time growing opportunities to become security officers and household assistants. Finally, there is environmental value because the playground is a green zone so that it can be used as a water catchment area and overcome flooding and reduce emissions.

Abstract

Pencak silat is part of the Indonesian culture that plays a role in shaping morals towards the environment. This study aims to find the moral values and conservation of the Cimande pencak silat. The research method used is a qualitative method. Collecting data by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Selection of informants with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis with data triangulation approach. The findings show that Cimande pencak silat has moral values to God, humans and the environment. If the opponent has lost, they must be respected by not hitting the opponent and insulting the opponent and not being allowed to step on the opponent. Likewise, with nature, Cimande members are not allowed to throw garbage into the river and treat living creatures like animals properly. Another finding there are several way to protect pencak silat from extinction such as releasing literacy to youth about silat, modifying the method and categorizing silat players from junior and senior as well as promote silat at school. Another finding is that there are health values from the Cimande silat game and contains religious values and there are social values from Cimande pencak silat activities

Abstract

Culture and traditions have started to become extinct so it needs to be investigated further to save the values of tradition and culture. This study aims to find social and cultural capital as well as the economic value of angkringan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. While the sampling was done by purposive technique. The results showed that there were social values in the angkringan culinary tradition because the traders or owners interacted socially with consumers from various groups. Even consumers between consumers can say hello and between consumers and angkringan owners. In addition, there is the value of mutual help because the prices of food and drinks at angkringan are very affordable so that they can help consumers who lack funds during the Covid-19 period. In addition, there is a health value because the drinks served at angkringan include ginger drinks and wedang uwuh which are useful for maintaining health, especially during the covid-19 period. Then, angkringan is a cultural element that must be maintained through the traditional food and beverage. Angkringan also using social media to adapt the outbreak of covid-19. Lastly, to maintain the quality of the food, the cook should not change so that it does not change in terms of taste

Abstract

The mosque is a center of worship and the center of life. This study aims to find social, religious and moral values in Friday blessing activities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method and purposive sampling. Data was collected by means of observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the improvement of worship and morals can be done with rewards in the form of food and drinks for children because inviting children to come to the mosque is a challenge. The provision of food and drink will make children not aware that they have worshiped so as to stimulate them in the future so that they continue to go to the mosque without any reward. In addition, there is a social value in which Friday's blessing is classified as an activity to help by providing food and drink to people who may be in trouble at that time. It is also a step in empowerment because the money from donors can be used to buy food and drink for worshipers who come to the mosque. Directly the activities of small and medium enterprises engaged in the food and beverage sector can be assisted through this activity. At the same time as an effort to increase the resilience of the community because during the pandemic many are having difficulties, with the blessing Friday, those who are having difficulties are not alone, the mosque is here to help them.

Abstract

Environmental damage is still uncontrollable, starting from the extinction of plant species, climate change and plant damage and environmental pollution. Ornamental plant business as a form to respond to environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to find ecological or environmental values and economic values in ornamental plant businesses. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Meanwhile, the respondent selection technique as resource person uses purposive technique. The results of the study indicate that the ornamental plant business is an indicator of the implementation of religious values because humans are ordered to manage nature. At the same time ornamental plant business includes efforts to give alms to others because ornamental plants provide freshness and beauty to those who see the plant. In addition, the ornamental plant business also helps to improve the environment, including producing oxygen, so that behavior is classified as religious teachings. In addition, the ornamental plant business is an alternative to support family life during the COVID-19 pandemic because ornamental plant cultivation does not need to use large areas of land. Ornamental plant businesses can take advantage of home gardens as a form of responding to narrow land but can still realize sustainable agriculture. At the same time helping people who were laid off from work to choose an ornamental plant business.
