Abstract

AbstractDigital literacy is the ability to use, understand, and utilize digital technology effectively. On the other hand, as prospective mathematics teachers, higher education students need good statistical literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital literacy and statistical literacy of students in higher education. In an increasingly advanced and complex digital era, these two skills are key for students' academic and professional success. This study used the correlational method. The sample was 32 students of prospective mathematics teachers in the mathematics education study program. The instruments used were digital literacy questionnaires and statistical literacy test questions. The data collection technique used a Likert scale. The data analysis carried out is descriptive statistical analysis, inferential statistical analysis using correlation tests, and see how much digital literacy contributes to statistical literacy. The results showed a significant relationship between digital literacy and statistical literacy of prospective mathematics teachers in higher education. The contribution of digital literacy to statistical literacy is 23.04%. Abstrak Literasi digital mengacu pada kemampuan untuk menggunakan, memahami, dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara efektif. Di sisi lain, sebagai calon guru matematika, mahasiswa di pendidikan tinggi perlu memiliki literasi statistis yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara literasi digital dan literasi statistis mahasiswa di Pendidikan Tinggi. Di era digital yang semakin maju dan kompleks, kedua keterampilan ini menjadi keterampilan kunci kesuksesan akademin, dan profesional mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional. Sampelnya adalah mahasiswa calon guru matematika di program studi pendidikan matematika sebanyak 32 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket literasi digital, dan soal tes literasi statistis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likerts. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis statistika inferensial menggunakan uji-korelasional, dan melihat berapa besar konstribusi literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis mahasiswa calon guru matematika di Pendidikan Tinggi. Besarnya konstribusi literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis sebesar 23,04%.

Abstract

Critical literacy skills are essential for EFL students to effectively engage with and analyze diverse texts in an increasingly globalized world, yet assessing these skills in non-native English speakers presents unique challenges. This study aimed to develop and validate comprehensive rubrics for assessing critical literacy skills in EFL contexts, addressing a significant gap in current assessment practices. This study employs 4D model (Thiagarajan et al. (1974) on instructional development. It consisted of four phases: Define Phase, Design Phase, Development Phase, and Dissemination Phase. The instrument of this study was a set of a critical literacy rubrics encompassing five dimensions: clarity of format, clarity of content, clarity of scoring, readability, and clarity of language. The research participants in the current study were 50 students of English Language Education Study Program, two Critical Reading lecturers, and two experts as the instrument validators. The rubrics demonstrated sensitivity to different proficiency levels and effectively captured the multifaceted nature of critical literacy in EFL contexts. This study contributes a validated, comprehensive tool for assessing EFL students' critical literacy skills, with significant implications for enhancing critical literacy instruction, curriculum development, and further research in EFL education, ultimately equipping students with the necessary skills to become critically engaged global citizens. Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of PAUD teachers in Kampar Kiri Hilir District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province about Classroom Action Research (PTK) so that the quality of learning can be improved as well as self and career development for PAUD teachers. The implementation method for community service activities in Kampar Kiri Hilir District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province includes: (1) Planning Stage. (2) Action Stage, (3) Observation Stage and (4) Reflection Stage. Through PTK teachers can develop teaching models that vary in dynamic and conducive classroom management and the use of appropriate and adequate media and learning resources. Even though the need for implementing Classroom Action Research is very large, not all teachers understand how to implement this activity. This problem is the main problem experienced by Partners, namely PAUD teachers in Kampar Hilir District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The solution provided is to conduct training for PAUD teachers on how to make PTK starting from the Preparation, Implementation and Reporting and Scientific Publication stages. The output target to be achieved from this Community Service is to be published in electronic mass media and the Community Service Journal. The plan for this activity is carried out in the form of an initial survey activity at Partner's place, the lecture method and CAR implementation training.

Abstract

The design of ESD-based math problems to measure creative thinking skills namely contains indicators of creative thinking skills and is applied in everyday life day. The research design used is formative evaluation (self-evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, and field tests). The research results show that from the initial design of the questions (47 students), only 28 questions were valid. After conducting large-scale tests shows that only some students can complete it. It is supported by the results of the written interview which said that the question was a moderate level of difficulty. But there are also those who say that the problem is too easy. With the research results is expected to produce guidelines in designing math-based test questions ESD for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika berupa e-modul dengan bantuan flip pdf professional pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMP yang teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya. Jenis penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Likert dan skala Guttman serta angket respon siswa menggunakan skala Likert. Subjek uji coba terbatas pada kelompok kecil terdiri dari 12 siswa kelas VIII SMP. E-Modul divalidasi oleh tiga validator. Data validasi dan data kepraktisan dianalisis dengan cara menentukan rata-rata dari setiap penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penilaian e-modul pada aspek kelayakan penyajian menggunakan skala Guttman diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 100% dengan kritera sangat valid serta pada aspek media, materi, dan bahasa menggunakan skala Likert diperoleh rata-rata 86,11% dengan kriteria sangat valid. (2) Hasil uji kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian siswa pada angket respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata 95,39% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar e-modul matematika berbantuan flip pdf professional pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMP teruji kepraktisan dan kevalidannya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study uses a quantitative approach. The type used is quasi-experimental research. This experiment is called a quasi-experiment. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu in the academic year of 2026. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique by selecting two classes, namely class VIII B as the experimental class and class VIII A as the control class. The original plan for the type of sample for the experimental class and the control class was 34 and 35 students, respectively. However, during the implementation there were students who were absent, so the sample for the experimental class was 32 students and the sample for the control class was 26 students. The research instruments used in this study were pre-test and post-test essay questions to determine student learning outcomes. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Based on the results of the research and the results of the research data analysis that have been carried out, the value of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) <α was obtained with α = 0.05 and Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 (0.000 <0.05). Therefore, H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted, meaning there is a difference between the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the discovery learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu.

Abstract

Di era digital, kemampuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis data statistik semakin penting. Kemahiran dalam statistik atau literasi statistis memungkinkan individu untuk memahami data yang digambarkan melalui grafik, tabel, dan ilustrasi, membantu mereka untuk membuat keputusan yang tepat berdasarkan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-module menggunakan  Kvisoft Flipbook Maker untuk meningkatkan Literasi Statistis calon guru matematika. Dalam penelitian ini didesain bahan ajar berupa E-Module yang didesain menggunakan Kvisoft Flipbook Maker digunakan dalam pembelajaran Statistika Pendidikan. E-Module ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan software Kvisoft Flipbook Maker yang menyajikan materi Statistika Pendidikan dengan visualisasi yang menarik serta kaya dengan fitur multimedia. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model ADDIE. Subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa calon guru matematika di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Islam Riau. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 42 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi, tes literasi statistis, lembar observasi dan lembar wawancara. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes literasi statistis, observasi, dan respons mahasiswa melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Hasil desain E-Module menggunakan  Kvisoft Flipbook Maker telah diuji kelayakannya. Dari segi validitas, kelayakan desain ini berada dalam kategori valid, sedangkan kepraktisannya berada pada kategori praktis. Desainnya juga efektif, karena ada peningkatan literasi statistik yang mencapai 76,19%. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menghasilkan desain E-Module digital menggunakan  Kvisoft Flipbook Maker yang efektif dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan Literasi Statistis mahasiswa calon guru matematika. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, E-Module dapat diaplikasikan dalam matakuliah statistika, serta e-modul dapa digunakan dilingkup yang lebih luas diberbagai program studi di Indonesia.In the digital age, the ability to understand and analyze statistical data is increasingly important. Proficiency in statistics or statistical literacy allows individuals to understand the data depicted through graphs, tables, and illustrations, helping them to make informed decisions based on data. This research aims to develop an e-module using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker to improve the Statistical Literacy of prospective mathematics teachers. In this study, teaching materials in the form of E-Modules were designed using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker to be used in learning Educational Statistics. This digital module was developed using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker software which presents educational statistics material with interesting visualizations and rich multimedia features. This research method is a development research by adapting the ADDIE model. The subject of the research is a prospective mathematics teacher student at the Mathematics Education Study Program, Universitas Islam Riau. The number of research subjects was 42 students. The instruments used consisted of validation sheets, statistical literacy tests, observation sheets and interview sheets. Data were collected through statistical literacy tests, observations, and student responses through interviews. The results of research show that 1) The design results of the Digital E-Module using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker have been tested for feasibility. In terms of validity, the feasibility of this design is in the valid category, while the practicality is in the practical category. The design is also effective, because there is an increase in statistical literacy which reaches 76.19%. Thus, this study produced a digital E-Module design using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker that is effective and suitable to be used to improve the Statistical Literacy of prospective mathematics teacher students. The conclusion  of this research is that e-modules can be applied in statistics courses, and e-modules can be used in a wider scope in various study programs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of digital technology is increasingly sophisticated. The need for the existence of technology is not only in everyday life but also needed in learning mathematics. This article examines how Technology Literacy and Student Media Literacy in Mathematics Learning. The urgency of this research lies in achieving equality and inclusivity in digital education. This research is survey research. The number of samples is 165 students. Male students who filled out the questionnaire were 45.7% while female students were 54.3%. The age range of those who completed the questionnaire was 17-24 years. The data collecting approach was carried out utilizing a questionnaire using Google Form to reach many research participants. Descriptive analysis was used to analyse the data. The results showed that the average student technology literacy was 61.84% in the fairly good category, while the average student media technology was 54,46% in the pretty good category. The results of the analysis based on gender, it was found that female's technology literacy and media literacy were higher than males. Further research is urgently needed to develop learning strategies that bridge the gender-based digital divide and promote equal access and technological literacy in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dari pengembangan modul ajar matematika dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berorientasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi pokok integral kelas XI SMA. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang dimodifikasi karena penelitian dilakukan pada masa Covid-19 yang terdiri dari tahap (Analysis, Design, dan Development). Objek penelitian ini adalah modul ajar matematika dengan model Problem Based Learning berorientasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi pokok integal. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik nontes dengan meminta validasi dari 2 dosen Pendidikan MatematikaFKIP UIR dan 1 guru Matematika SMA N 14 Pekanbaru. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan uji validitas, modul ajar matematika dengan model Problem Based Learning berorientasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dinyatakan valid dengan validitas indeks Aiken sebesar 0,68 (validitas sedang). Dari hasil tersebut, mengidentifikasikan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid. Kata kunci: Modul, Model Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah

Abstract

The use of learning module aimed to help students study independently without or with the guidance of the lecturer. This module was made due to the lack of teaching materials as a learning guide that meets the needs of students in ICT-based Mathematics learning courses in the form of LKM, modules, or textbooks. This study aimed to find out and examine more in students' responses to the use of ICT-based Mathematics learning modules. This type of research was case study research. The subject of the study was the 2018/2019 even semester students in ICT-based Mathematics learning courses with 23 students. The instrument used was in the form of a student response questionnaire, comment sheets, and suggestions. Data collection techniques used Google Form. The data was processed using Microsoft Excel 2010. The results showed that students' responses to the ICT-based Mathematics learning module as a whole were positive with an average value in the material aspects, the module interest aspects, and in the module aspects respectively by 92.43%, 87%, and 93.16%. Thus, it can be concluded that the ICT-based Mathematics learning module can be implemented.
