Abstract

This study aims to explain in detail how the objective motivational conditions experienced by students in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study was conducted at Universitas Kuningan involving 80 sixth semester students in the Elementary School Teacher Education study program. Data collection techniques used in this study were survey technique with a Likert scale. Survey was made through google form so that it was easily accessible by students. The data analysis technique used in this study was calculating the percentage of data from each indicator, interpreting the data presentation score andthen analyzing each indicator in depth. The results of this study indicated that the learning motivation of sixth semester students of the elementary school teacher education program at Universitas Kuningan was very good, in which the percentage score of motivation reached 80.27%. This study is expected to be an evaluation of various parties in organizing online learning in higher education, especially those involving motivation in it. This research is also expected to be a study material for other researchers in analyzing and developing student learning motivation in online learning during emergencies in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to know the extent the character of tolerance is embedded in the students. Through this social science subject, students can learn about the study of cultural diversity, the environment and community life which can be used as a forum for implementing tolerance characters in everyday life. This research method used a survey with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted in all Elementary Schools of Losari District, Brebes Regency. The research data were obtained from the results of filling out a questionnaire for grade IV teachers and students. The data analysis technique used was with the help of Microsoft Excel. The results of the analysis of teaching materials on ethnic and cultural diversity showed that 75% relevance was said to be in the good relevant category. The results of the research of all elementary school class teachers in Losari District on the implementation of the character of tolerance in the social science subject showed a relevance of 53.33% including the very good category. Then the results of the research of class IV students on the development of the character of tolerance in social science subjects showed a relevance of 66.67% which was categorized quite good. These results show that through the analysis of teaching materials for the diversity of ethnic groups and cultures in Elementary Schools of Losari District, it can be concluded that the character of tolerance in students of Elementary Schools has been implemented.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the creativity of teachers in creative learning in social studies subjects in grade 6 of elementary school. This research used descriptive qualitative research method. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers and grade 6 of elementary school students. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and observing and recording documents. Data analysis used interactive analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicated that; (1) the teacher has been creative in presenting learning material for the proclamation of Indonesian independence by using imaginative concepts, stimulating original ideas and works, applying variations in interaction patterns, teaching styles, and various messages, and applying direct evaluation, (2) the teacher is creative in applying the teaching method used with the application of brainstorming method and combining existing methods, (3) the teacher has been creative in developing learning media and learning resources by producing homemade media. In conclusion, creative teachers are teachers who are able to develop pedagogical abilities, life skills, increase values and build and develop professional attitudes according to the era of globalization.
