Abstract

Modul Nusantara merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib bagi mahasiswa berpartisipasi dalam program pertukaran pelajar mandiri. Modul Nusantara merupakan rangkaian kegiatan yang berfokus pada penciptaan pemahaman dan tujuan holistik memperkenalkan kekayaan budaya nusantara dalam berbagai hal. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan modul Nusantara berperan dalam meningkatkan toleransi budaya. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mahasiswa dalam melakukan program pertukaran mahasiswa merdeka Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan tahun 2022-2023. Mengumpulkan informasi melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Nilai Modular Nusantara memiliki peran untuk meningkatkan sikap toleransi budaya di kalangan mahasiswa baru. Hasil Penelitian sebanyak 60% mahasiswa memilih program Pertukaran Mahasiswa, sebanyak 60% mahasiswa menyatakan ada peningkatan softskill dengan baik setelah mengikuti kegiatan MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka), sebanyak 74% mahasiswa menyatakan kegiatan MBKM untuk Perguruan Tinggi sesuai kebutuhan lulusan di masa yang akan datang, 91% mahasiswa menyatakan ketertarikan terhadap program MBKM.

Abstract

Pertukaran mahasiswa adalah sebuah program yang mengembangkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang bagaimana ke beragaman bangsa Indonesia serta merberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar di Luar Kampus asalnya.Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa jugamembuka pintu bagi kita untuk menjelajahi kekayaan dan keunikan budaya yang ada di daerah yang dikunjungi.. Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka dirancang untuk memperluas kesempatan pendidikan dan memperdalam pemahaman budaya melalui pertukaran mahasiswa. Dalam program ini, mahasiswa memiliki kebebasan untuk memilih tujuan Perguruan tinggi,memberikan mereka fleksibilitas dalam memilih daerah tujuan yang ingin di kunjungi. Melalui Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka 2 yang kami laksanakan di salah satu Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, dengan pengalaman ini kami dapat memperluas wawasan mereka tentang berbagai aspek budaya seperti seni, musik, tari, adat istiadat, kuliner, dan bahasa. kami dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan masyarakat setempat, mengunjungi tempat-tempat bersejarah, dan mengikuti kegiatan budaya yang khas dari daerah tujuan Dalam proses ini, mereka dapat memperdalam pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai budaya yang berbeda dan merasakan keanekaragaman yang ada di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Kekayaan Budaya,Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka,Toleransi Keanekaragaman Abstract Student exchange is a program that develops students' understanding of how diverse the Indonesian nation is and provides opportunities for students to study outside their original campus. The Student Exchange Program also opens doors for us to explore the richness and uniqueness of culture in the areas visited. The Student Exchange Program Merdeka Student is designed to broaden educational opportunities and deepen cultural understanding through student exchange. In this program, students have the freedom to choose a higher education destination, giving them flexibility in choosing the destination they want to visit. Through the Merdeka 2 Student Exchange which we held at a Muhammadiyah University in Jakarta, with this experience we can broaden their horizons about various aspects of culture such as art, music, dance, customs, culinary arts, and language. we can interact directly with the local community, visit historical places, and participate in cultural activities that are typical of the destination area. In this process, they can deepen their understanding of different cultural values ??and feel the diversity that exists in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to know whether the use of crossword in teaching vocabulary. The researcher conducted the research at SMP HKBP Sidorame Medan. This study was carried out by Quasi-Experimental research. The object of this study was the eighth grade students at SMP HKBP Sidorame Medan. The sample of this study amounted to 20 people consisting of an experimental and a control group, with a total of 10 students for each group. To collect the data researcher used vocabulary test in pre-test and post-test. After collecting the data, the author analyzed the data. The results of this study can be seen as follows: t-count > t-table (p = 0.05) with degree of freedom (df) = 18. This means that 4.57388216>1.734 (p=0.05) with df 18. This means that the use of crossword in vocabulary teaching has a significant effect to the student at the eighth grade of SMP HKBP Sidorame Medan. Based on the results of data analysis, the experimental class students achieved better scores (from 60 to 79.5) while the control class results only showed a slight improvement (from 54.5 to 65). It can be concluded that the use of crossword puzzles is successful in teaching vocabulary to students at the eighth grade of SMP HKBP Sidorame Medan. So, teachers in schools can use this teaching method in teaching vocabulary.

Abstract

Dictation technique is a practice that improves pupils' phonetic knowledge, listening comprehension, and writing abilities. Dictation technique was used to improve students' listening comprehension ability. The objective of this study was to find out whether the dictation technique have effect the listening comprehension ability of first graders of SMP HKBP Padang Bulan Medan. A quantitative experimental research design was used in this study. The population of this study were first graders of SMP HKBP Padang Bulan Medan, totaling 30 students, with a sample of 15 students for each class. Students were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was taught using dictation technique, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. The instrument used to collect data was a fill in the blank test which was then divided into pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using the t-test formula. The results of the analysis show that t-count is greater than t-table (3.02 > 1,69) at a significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) 28, meaning that there is a significant influence of the use of dictation technique on students' listening comprehension ability achievement.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how language choices and language attitudes manifest in the speech community in Tani Makmur Hamlet, Kualuh Leidong District, North Labuhanbatu. To uncover the root of the problem, this research uses a sociolinguistic approach, using qualitative and quantitative methods. Data sources were obtained from speech events in the family domain, friendship domain, religion domain, education domain, and work domain. The techniques used to process data are observation methods, questionnaires, documentation. The data that has been successfully provided and classified is then explained clearly and then analyzed. The findings of the research on language choice are divided into 3 parts, namely teenagers, adults, parents and show that there are three language codes that are dominantly used by the Batak community in Teluk Pulaui Dalam village, the three codes are the Indonesian (BI) code, the Batak language code (BB), and Malay Language Code (BM). In language selection, among adults, Indonesian (BI) has a high percentage in the friendship domain around (64%), among teenagers, Indonesian (BI) has a high percentage in the employment domain around (98%), among parents, language Batak (BB) has a high percentage in the domain family area (100%), while in the choice of language the Batak community in Tani Makmur Hamlet, Teluk Pulai Dalam still has a positive attitude towards the Batak Toba language in Tani Makmur Hamlet, Kualuh Leidong District, North Labuhanbatu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh umpan balik korektif langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 60 orang yang terbagi menjadi 30 siswa pada kelas eksperimen (VIII-B) dan 30 siswa pada kelas kontrol (VIII-A). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes recount. Pengujian tersebut dihitung dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t untuk menghitung uji hipotesis dan SPSS 23. Pengujian terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test. Nilai peningkatan kelas eksperimen dari 61,97 menjadi 86,20 ; sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat, dari 44,70 menjadi 70,40. Sesuai dengan nilai uji t yang diperoleh dari uji t yaitu (3,60778850551) > t tabel (1,701) pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 terbukti lebih besar dari t tabel, hal ini mendukung hipotesis hipotesa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Singkatnya, teknik umpan balik korektif langsung dan tidak langsung efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis morfem infleksional dan derivasional yang terdapat pada teks deskriptif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis morfem infleksi dan derivasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes tertulis sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan kondensasi data, data display, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis infleksional, yaitu jamak, progresif, posesif, dan orang ketiga tunggal. Kemudian, ada empat jenis derivasional yaitu pembentukan kata benda, pembentukan kata kerja, pembentukan kata sifat, dan pembentukan kata keterangan.

Abstract

Although many studies on umpasa have been carried out previously in the Toba Batak language; however, a study on gender-based conceptual metaphors from a cognitive semantic perspective has never been conducted before. This study discusses the conceptual metaphor of gender contained in the umpasa of Batak Toba. The theory of the study is oriented to the conceptual metaphor by Lakoff and Johnson (2003) as the main theory and Cruse and Croft (2004) for the image schematic. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted by using a thematic analysis design to describe the types of conceptual metaphors in the Toba Batak language. The results of this study reveal that there are three types of conceptual metaphors about gender contained in umpasa, as a form of oral tradition. Based on the analysis, 15 conceptual metaphors were found in the study, namely (1) 11 structural metaphors, (2) 3 orientational metaphors, and (3)1ontological metaphor. Furthermore, in the classification of source domains, four of the fifteen data presented conceptualize women as the source of money and economic transactions, then men as physical resources, and other source domains. The results of this study add to references on the topic of conceptual metaphors in regional languages in Indonesia in general, and in the Batak language specifically.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is knowledge and skills in using various kinds of numbers and symbols related to mathematics as a basis for solving practical problems in everyday life and analyzing information in various forms such as graphs, tables, charts and so on. The aim of this service activity will be achieved by providing a learning platform such as afternoon tutoring which will guide and create a fun learning atmosphere for TPACK, for the Health section by providing assistance, training and guidance to village residents to introduce good practices in increasing mutual cooperation motivation. and Health sections such as posyandu. In fact, from the results of an interview with the village head, Mr. Andreas Purba, the literacy and numeracy level of students in Kacaribu village, Kabanjahe sub-district is still relatively low due to the low interest in learning of students which is caused by monotonous learning without linking it to technological developments, thereby reducing participants' interest in learning. grew up in the village. Therefore, the PKM team in Kacaribu village offers a solution for using TPACK to improve literacy and numeracy, where TPACK is a learning method that applies technology in the learning process, such as using Canva, PPT and other media as tools in learning. Not only in terms of literacy and numeracy, but health also plays an important role in creating an active and creative educational environment. Health does not only involve nutrition entering students' bodies, but the environment also has a big influence on health. Because if the community environment is clean and healthy then this can improve the quality of education, but if the community environment is dirty it can support the scope of education where students will breathe dirty air which will affect the comfort of learning. This service uses a participatory action service design (Action Research) with a qualitative approach. This design was chosen because the aim of this service is to help the community, especially students in Kacaribu village, in improving numeracy literacy and health, so active participation is needed from the Kacaribu village community to achieve this goal. With the assistance activities of Kacaribu Village residents to practice using TPACK to improve literacy, numeracy and health, there was a significant increase in students' interest in learning in taking additional lessons held at the Kacaribu Village office and also the enthusiasm of students in using TPACK in the learning process at Kabanjahe 2 Catholic High School. The community service program also shows that the program implemented has a positive impact on increasing knowledge and awareness of the Kacaribu Village community in increasing awareness of health at posyandu. It also shows that community awareness of health can be influenced by certain factors. In this case, the mentoring program implemented was successful in increasing community knowledge in improving awareness and health.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan analisis Prinsip Kerjasama Grice yang didasari dalam percakapan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Analisis ini secara khusus membahas pelanggaran maksim dalam tuturan yang diuraikan dalam empat jenis. Yaitu maksim kuantitas, maksim kualitas, maksim hubungan, dan maksim cara. Data penelitian ini adalah ucapan Denny Sumargo dan podcast Najwa Shihab. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada 35 ujaran yang melanggar maksim dalam podcast Denny Sumargo dengan Najwa Shihab. Terdapat 15 ujaran (42.86%) yang melanggar maksim kuantitas dan dapat disimpulkan sebagai jenis pelanggaran yang dominan, 9 (25.71%) untuk maksim Cara sebagai pelanggaran terbesar kedua dan 1 (2.86%) untuk maksim kualitas. dan yang terakhir adalah 10 ujaran (28,57%) untuk relasi maksim. Untuk yang kedua, pelanggaran maksim yang dominan adalah kuantitas karena memberikan informasi tambahan sebelum langsung ke pokok persoalan. Mereka tidak memberikan informasi sebanyak yang diperlukan. Hal ini bisa terjadi karena pembicara ingin menyampaikan informasi kepada stoner atau membuat lelucon
