Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of experimental-based education in the Qur’an, particularly in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 260, and to examine its relevance to modern education. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, with data collected from classical and contemporary tafsir, educational theories, and recent scholarly studies. The results show that the concept of experiment in this verse is reflected through a learning process involving direct experience, observation, and empirical verification, as demonstrated in the dialogue between Prophet Ibrahim and Allah. This indicates that experimental learning plays an important role in strengthening understanding and belief. Furthermore, this concept is relevant to modern educational approaches that emphasize active participation and reflective processes. Therefore, experimental-based education in the Qur’an provides a conceptual foundation for developing active and contextual learning models in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

This journal aims to construct the ethics of student-teacher communication from the perspective of ishari interpretation through an analysis of Surah Al-Kahf verse 66 in al-Bahr al-Madid by Ibn ‘Ajibah. The background of this study is based on the importance of communication ethics in Islamic education, which is not only oriented toward the transfer of knowledge, but also toward the formation of manners and students’ character. In the context of modern education, especially in the digital era, communication patterns have shifted and tend to neglect ethical values. Therefore, a reconstruction of communication concepts based on the Qur’an is needed. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, placing al-Bahr al-Madid as the primary source and supported by classical exegesis literature and contemporary Islamic education studies. The findings show that Surah Al-Kahf verse 66 contains principles of student-teacher communication ethics, including the attitude of asking permission politely (isti’dhan), humility (tawadu’), gentleness in speech (mulatafah), an orientation of knowledge directed toward guidance (rushd), and readiness to follow the learning process (suhbah). From the perspective of ishari interpretation, these ethical values are not merely external practices, but also reflect the inner and spiritual readiness of a student in receiving knowledge. Thus, communication ethics is an integral part of Islamic education that plays an important role in creating meaningful, civilized, and character-oriented learning.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of the principles of justice from the Qur'an and Hadith in the occurrence of imbalances in husband-wife relations within the context of equality. Justice is a fundamental value in Islam that encompasses various aspects of life. This study involves the analysis of the Qur'an and the Qowwam hadith to identify principles of justice that can be adapted in the context of gender in husband-wife relations in the modern era. The research method used includes a qualitative approach with primary data collection thru literature study and analysis of the Qur'an and hadith texts. Secondary data is also used to support the interpretation and application of qowwam principles in the gender context. The analysis results show that the Qur'an emphasizes the importance of justice in decision-making, resource distribution, and the imbalance in husband-wife relationships within a household. This research contributes to expanding the understanding of how the values of the Qur'an and Hadith provide solutions for the integrity of a household and prevent disputes over duties and responsibilities, which often lead to domestic violence due to the context of qawwam being interpreted as men being leaders and rulers in a household. In household life, understanding the roles and responsibilities of each husband and wife is very important. This article aims to analyze the justice of the Qur'an and Hadith in the relevance of husband and wife in the modern era in the context of qawwamah and gender.

Abstract

In relation to the issue of the relationship between men and women and the capacity of humans as servants of Allah swt, there is no difference between them. The basic principles of the Quran reveal a reality of egalitarian views. Both living beings have the same potential and opportunity to become ideal servants. The creation of models and kinship systems within a society requires a long time and historical process, and depends on various factors, including geographical factors. The Quran emphasizes that the most ideal servants are the muttaqun. The phenomenon occurring in the conditions of religious communities and societies gives rise to issues of moral decadence coloring human interactions. In this case, the research focuses on the work environment, specifically the gender career life at STAI Diniyah Pekanbaru, with the research period from February to April 2020. The focus on the decline in moral values is due to free social interactions that do not adhere to ethics and morals. The researcher conducted field research to perform a detailed analysis, using qualitative classification and a descriptive explanatory level. The use of case studies as a type and strategy of discovery in this research. In this study, the main finding is that moral principles serve as the education of a person's soul, keeping it in a state of purity, commendability, and free from disgraceful traits. There is a positive correlation between job level, education level, work routine, and social interactions conducted both inside and outside the campus. The research results from the responses of 37 respondents show a direct correlation in internal and external campus social interactions. The environment plays a significant role in the moral gender shift in careers. In this study, it is argued that a high frequency of meetings, unrestricted and free, can strengthen human relationships with one another. The evidence in this study is that in the workplace, one must uphold good moral principles and Islamic law. Habluminannas, maintaining good relations, and other forms should not be an excuse in a career to open the door to immorality.

Abstract

Relasi suami–istri dalam keluarga Muslim merupakan salah satu isu sentral dalam tafsir al-Qur’an, khususnya terkait konsep qawwamah dan nusyuz dalam QS al-Nis?’ [4]:34 dan [4]:128. Secara historis, ayat-ayat tersebut kerap dipahami sebagai legitimasi normatif atas kepemimpinan laki-laki dan ketaatan perempuan dalam rumah tangga. Namun, dalam konteks masyarakat Muslim kontemporer, pembacaan literal terhadap tafsir klasik yang lahir dari lingkungan patriarkal memunculkan persoalan keadilan relasional serta berpotensi melegitimasi relasi hierarkis dan kekerasan domestik. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis secara komparatif tafsir klasik dan tafsir kontemporer mengenai relasi suami–istri dengan menyoroti perbedaan asumsi epistemologis, metode penafsiran, dan implikasi hermeneutiknya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif-komparatif, menggunakan tafsir al-?abar? dan Fakhr al-D?n al-R?z? sebagai representasi tafsir klasik, serta Amina Wadud dan M. Quraish Shihab sebagai representasi tafsir kontemporer. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir klasik cenderung memposisikan qawwamah sebagai otoritas kepemimpinan laki-laki dan nusyuz sebagai pembangkangan istri dalam kerangka hukum normatif. Sebaliknya, tafsir kontemporer menafsirkan qawwamah sebagai amanah fungsional berbasis tanggung jawab dan keadilan, serta memahami nusyuz sebagai pelanggaran relasi yang dapat dilakukan oleh kedua pihak. Temuan ini menegaskan adanya pergeseran paradigma tafsir menuju model etis-fungsional yang menekankan kemitraan dan keadilan dalam keluarga Muslim.
