Abstract

Penerimaan terhadap teori evolusi merupakan salah satu isu menantang dalam dunia Pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi awal mahasiswa terkait teori evolusi sebelum mempelajari mata kuliah evolusi. Pada penelitian melibatkan 99 orang mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket berisi open-ended dan closed-ended questions. Ditemukan bahwa 54,6% mahasiswa percaya dengan teori evolusi, 41,4% ragu-ragu dan 4% tidak percaya. Persepsi mahasiswa yang mengatakan ragu-ragu dan tidak percaya teori evolusi karena (1) menyadari kurangnya pemahaman mereka tentang evolusi; (2) teori evolusi bertentangan dengan keyakinan mereka; (3) adanya keraguan terhadap teori Darwin; (4) bukti terkait evolusi masih belum cukup memadai atau kurang meyakinkan. Adapun persepsi mahasiswa yang menerima teori evolusi dengan landasan sebagai berikut (1) evolusi dapat dibuktikan melalui bukti ilmiah; (2) mereka harus mampu menilai teori evolusi secara ilmiah dan terlepas dari perspektif agama; (3) menyadari bahwa teori evolusi perlu ditinjau dengan berbagai informasi dari berbagai perspektif. Temuan ini dapat dijadikan acuan serta memberikan rekomendasi pendekatan bagi dosen dan para pendidik untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran evolusi.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, people are looking for activities that can fill their spare time, one of which is the cultivation of ornamental plants. In addition to channeling hobbies, ornamental plant cultivation can increase people's income by marketing products to the market. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the cultivation of Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plants vegetatively and by cuttings, to partners and provide information about business prospects and marketing strategies for fruit and ornamental plants in Griya Prima Asri Complex, Kec. Baleendah, Kab. Bandung. The selection of the Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plant as the object of service because this plant can grow in Indonesian climatic conditions, easy to care for, easy to observe and measure its growth, such as number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, stem height, and root length. In addition, marketing assistance for ornamental plant products and fruit plants that are developed vegetatively is also carried out. The methods used are socialization, workshops/training, and monitoring. The results of this activity were 90% of the participants stated that the ornamental plant propagation training provided benefits and knowledge to cultivate and develop them into entrepreneurial prospects, in the midst of many people who lost their jobs due to the impact of the pandemic.

Abstract

Analytical skills are one of the essential skills that high school students must possess and are listed in the curriculum. Analytical skills are included in category C4 in Bloom's taxonomy. However, many students still lack this ability. This is influenced by several factors, one of which is the type of learning media. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Cells at Work animation as a learning medium for biology, with a focus on the material related to the circulatory system. The method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test model, conducted on class XI- MIPA 5 students at SMA Pasundan 2, Bandung. The results of the study showed that this animation media makes it easier for students to understand the material due to its attractive visual and audio displays. This can be seen from the increase in the average student score, namely from 56 at the pre-test to 83 at the post-test, with the percentage of mastery of all indicators reaching 83%. Thus, the Cells at Work animation is effective for use as a learning medium in biology, especially for material related to the circulatory system. This study provides empirical evidence that animated media with contextual content, such as Cells at Work, can significantly enhance analytical thinking skills in science learning, particularly for complex topics like the circulatory system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode SLNA yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis bahan ajar berbasis komputer pada pembelajaran bioteknologi. Bahan ajar berbasis komputer berisikan materi-materi ajar dengan menggunakan komputer sebagai media pembelajaran efektif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu bahan ajar komputer pada pembelajaran bioteknologi itu sendiri. Pada penelitian ini juga peneliti melakukan analisis sebanyak 25 artikel yang telah difiltrasi berdasarkan topik bahan ajar komputer. Analisis tersebut dimuat dalam beberapa komponen seperti judul, tahun, doi, author, metode, hasil analisis, dan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Bibliometrix tools (Aplikasi metode SLNA) sebagai media yang digunakan dalam menganalisis artikel-artikel tersebut. Dari penelitian ini maka diperoleh kesimpulan penggunaan bahan ajar komputer menghasilkan pengaruh positif yang hasilkan yaitu bersifat efektif dan fleksibel dalam pembelajaran bioteknologi karena dapat memvisualisasikan materi ajar kedalam bentuk gambar, video, suara sehingga memberi kesan yang tidak membosankan saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

There is no research on the study of Apis mellifera using bibliometrix tools. This study aims to determine the results of the study of Apis mellifera in a role perspective using Bibliometrix Tools. This study uses an approach that uses the Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA) method assisted by bibliometrix tools in the form of four applications OpenRefine, VOSviewer, Bibliometrix, and Tableau Public. The data source used is the Scopus database. This study uses a confirmability test. Journals that publish many articles about Apis mellifera include Apidologie, Insects, and Scientific Reports. Authors who publish a lot of articles about Apis mellifera include Neumann P number 32, Chen Y and Le Conte Y number 20. The years that published a lot of articles about Apis mellifera are 2021 and 2020. The theme network consists of 5 clusters the farther the distance between topics it means that people rarely research about the topic/theme. Apis mellifera is the dominant pollinating insect that helps in the process of pollinating many plants such as blueberries and other roles, namely as medicine, from propolis to honey bee cocoons. Meanwhile, the detrimental role caused by Apis mellifera honey bees and other pollinating insects is as a vector of diseases that causes the carrying of bad bacteria that can attack plants which of course will reduce production yields.

Abstract

Climate change and global warming are partly caused by increasing air pollution. This air pollution results in incomplete carbon combustion, producing toxic gases. Carbon is a key component used by plants in the photosynthesis process. Therefore, trees play an important role in reducing pollution and lowering environmental temperatures that trigger climate change and global warming. The purpose of research on carbon reserves is to provide data for the future management of urban parks, utilizing them for climate change mitigation. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Sampling in this study used the census method with purposive sampling, where all trees with a diameter of ≥ 20 cm were taken as samples. The highest biomass and carbon reserve values stored in trees in Panatayuda Park were found in Ficus elastica, with a biomass value of 51,752.77 kg and a carbon reserve value of 25,876.39 kg. Meanwhile, the lowest values were found in Pterocarpus indicus, with a biomass value of 807.39 kg and a carbon reserve value of 403.69 kg. The total carbon reserve in trees in Panatayuda Park is 79,122.21 kg, with a total biomass of 140,244.41 kg.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kredibilitas dalam menilai dan mengidentifikasi sumber informasi digital menggunakan IoT pada pembelajaran Biologi. Metode yang digunakan yakni pre-eksperimen tipe one-group pretest-posttest. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari jumlah total peserta didik 33, sebanyak 21 peserta didik mengalami peningkatan keterampilan, dan 4 memperoleh hasil yang sama. Sedangkan hanya 6 orang yang mengalami penurunan penilaian keterampilan. Hal ini menunjukkan manfaat dari pembelajaran biologi berbasis IoT yang dapat diterapkan salah stunya pada aplikasi Blynk IoT. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara menggunakan kueisioner.Setiap aspek penilaian terdapat korelasi menggunakan spearmans dengan nilai pretest terhadap nilai keterampilan kredibilitas sebesar  0,727 > 0,05 dan nilai posttest terhadap nilai keterampilan kredibilitas sebesar, 0.606 > 0. 05. Serta hasil keterampilan terhadap materi ekosistem mengalami perubahan yang signifikan dari 76,8% menjadi 78,8%.
