Abstract

This research was aimed to describes the relation between self efficacy and ability literacy chemical in acid base learning using the SiMaYang Model. All of students in the 11th grade of XI IPA 5 at senior high school in Bandarlampung as a sample which amounted to 32 students and selected using cluster random sampling. The research method used was survey method with correlation research design. The result of this research showed that there were correlation between self efficacy and ability literacy chemical in acid base learning using the SiMaYang Model was medium, positive and significant.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan  hubungan self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan literasi kimia siswa pada materi asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran SiMaYang. Semua siswa di kelas XI IPA 5 pada SMA di Bandarlampung sebagai sampel yang terdiri dari 32 siswa dan dipilih menggunakan cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survey dengan desain penelitian korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara self efficacy dan kemampuan literasi kimia dalam pembelajaran asam basa menggunakan model SiMaYang yang tergolong sedang, positif, dan signifikan. Kata Kunci: kemampuan literasi kimia, self efficacy,  SiMaYang

Abstract

Abstract, chemistry learning in schools tends to just memorize the concepts and less able to use these concepts if faced problems in real life that associated with the concept held. The result is chemistry learning losing its appeal and its relevance to the real world that should be become the object of the science. Therefore, it is designed a learning through SBEI learning model.The Research aims to determine the effectiveness of the SBEI learning model in increasing mastery of concepts on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution material. This research using a quasi-experimental methods Non Equivalent (pretest and postest) Control Group Design. The research sample are X1 and X3 grade students of SMAN 1 Gadingrejo (State senior high school 1 Gadingrejo) 2011-2012 school year that have almost the same characteristics. This Effectiveness of SBEI learning model is measured based on significantly gain increase. The results showing that n-Gain average value of mastery on concepts for the control and experimental classes respectively are 0.498 and 0.572.Based on the hypothesis testing, improved that class with SBEI learning has higher mastery on concepts than conventional learning model. This shows that SBEI learning is more effective in mastering concept of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.Keywords: learning by Empirical Inductive Learning Cycle models, concept mastery.

Abstract

This research purpose is describe the experimental method effect in increasing the ability to communicate and thermochemistry concept mastery. This research uses quasi experimental method with pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. This research population is the students of high school grade XI science in Bandar Lampung. The Sampling used is cluster random sampling method obtained from XI science 1 and 2 as experiment class and control class. The effectiveness of experiment method proved by n-Gain value and supported with effect size test. The result shows that the students’ value after they done learning with experimental method is increasing and also appropriate with calculation showing that experiment class n-Gain value higher than student value in control class. The calculation also shows that effect size test experiment class is 0,85 includes in “big” category. Based on that result, experimental method effective in increasing ability to communicate and students concept mastery on thermochemistry. Keyword: communication, concept mastery, experiment method, thermochemistryPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh metode eksperimen dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep termokimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest non equivalent control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di Bandar Lampung. Penentuan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pengaruh metode eksperimen dibuktikan dengan besarnya nilai n-Gain, serta didukung uji ukuran pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan metode eksperimen meningkat, juga sesuai dengan perhitungan yang menunjukan bahwa nilai n-Gain kelas ekperimen lebih tinggi daripada nilai siswa di kelas kontrol. Hasil perhitungan menunjukan bahwa hasil uji pengaruh kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,85 yang termasuk kategori “besar”. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, metode eksperimen berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi termokimia. Kata kunci: mengkomunikasikan, metode eksperimen, penguasaan konsep, termokimia.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the Problem Solving learning model that are effective in improving the communication and the inferen  skills on Redoks Reaction  material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This research use a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample in this research is students of State Senior High School Yadika in Bandar Lampung and obtained X 3 and X 5 class at school year 2012-2013 which has almost the same characteristics. The effectiveness of Problem Solving learning model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant N-gain. The results showed the average value of N-gain communication  skills for control class and experiment  class are 0,44 and 0.62, and the average value of N-gain inferen skills for control class and experiment class are 0.45 and 0.60. Based on the test of the hypothesis, it is known that a class with Problem Solving learning model has the communication and the inferen skills higher than conventional class learning. This showed that the Problem Solving learning was more effective in improving the communication and the inferen skills.Kata kunci:   pembelajaran problem solving, keterampilan mengkomunika­sikan, keterampilan menyimpulkan.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an effective instructional model increase interest  and concept’s mastery of XI science in acid-base. The population are the class of XI Science SMA Perintis 2 Bandar Lampung with XI IPA 2 as experiment class and XI 3 as control. This research method is a quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design. The research’s results showed the average value of the index gain interest in the control and experimental classes respectively 0,65 and 0,75; and the mean index gain mastery of concepts for the control and experimental classes respectively 0,35 and 0,49. Based on hypothesis testing, it was concluded that learning through the class with LC 5E has an interest and mastery of concepts that is higher than learning conventional class. This suggests that the learning material through  LC 5E  is more effective in increasing students' interest and mastery of concepts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh model pembelajaran yang afektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan penguasaan konsep asam-basa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah selurush siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Perintis 2 Bandar Lampung dengan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 3 kelas control. Metode penelitan ni adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata indeks gain motivasi untuk kelas control dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,65 dan 0,75; dan rerata indeks gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing  0,35 dan 0,49. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan LC 5E lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran kon-vensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan LC 5E lebih efektif dalam me-ningkatkan motivasi dan penguasaaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: learning cycle 5E, motivasi, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning to improve elaboration thinking skills and consept mastery of Arrhenius acid base. The method used quasi experiment with pretest-postest non-equivalent control group desaign. Population in this research was all students of class XI IPA in SMA Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. Sample were taken by clauster random sampling tehnique obtained by class XI IPA 3 as experiment class and XI IPA 2 as control class. Effectiveness is determined based on t-test of  n-Gain and supported by teacher's ability and effect size test. The results showed that the average value of n-Gain elaboration thinking skills and concept mastery in experiment class with high criteria, very high teacher ability, and large effect size. The conclution this research was discovery learning is effective and had large effect size to improving elaboration thinking skills and consept mastery of Arrhenius acid base. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas discovery learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir elaborasi dan penguasaan konsep asam basa Arrhenius. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan pretest – posttest non equivalent control group design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Keefektifan ditentukan berdasarkan uji-t terhadap n-Gain dan didukung dengan kemampuan guru serta uji ukuran pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir elaborasi dan penguasaan konsep pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria tinggi, kemampuan guru yang sangat tinggi, dan ukuran pengaruh yang besar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu discovery learning efektif dan mempunyai ukuran pengaruh yang besar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir elaborasi dan penguasaan konsep asam basa Arrhenius.Kata Kunci: discovery learning, keterampilan berpikir elaborasi, penguasaan konsep, asam basa Arrhenius

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model to improve classification and inferring skills in teaching non-electrolyte and electrolyte solutions.  This reseach uses Quasi Experimental Method and Non-Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design.  The sample of this students in class X1dan X2 SMA Swadhipa that used purposive sampling technique.  The effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model was measured based on significant N-gain improvements and t test.  The results showed that average value of N-gain of skills in classification and inferring in control and experiment classrooms on significant 0.18 and 0.11.  Based on the t test, it is known that classroom with used guided inquiry learning model had higher skill in classification and inferring than classroom with conventional learning.  This shown that guided inquiry learning model is effective to improve classification and inferring skills in teaching non electrolyte and electrolyte solutions. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi pokok larutan non elektrolit dan elektrolit.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Swadhipa kelas X1 dan kelas X2 yang diambil menggu­nakan teknik purposive sampling.  Efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing diukur berdasarkan peningkatan N-gain yang signifikan dan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata (uji t).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata N-gain keterampilan mengelompokkan dan keterampilan inferensi untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,18 dan 0,11.  Berdasarkan hasil uji t, kelas dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing memiliki keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi pokok larutan non elektrolit dan elektrolit. Kata kunci : keterampilan inferensi, keterampilan mengelompokkan, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop animation based on molecular simulation on distillation method. This research used Research and Development(RD) methode. The result of this research was animation on mixture separation by distillation method that displaying molecule visualization of mixture separation by distillation methode. Based on preliminary field test result, the response of teachers to the content suitability, attractiveness and aesynees aspects were 88% and 86% respectively, and categorized as very hight. The response of students in attractiveness and easyness aspects was categorized as very hight with percentage of 84%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan animasi berbasis simulasi molekul pada metode destilasi. Metode dari penelitian ini yaitu metode Research and Development (RD). Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa animasi pada materi pemisahan campuran dengan metode destilasi yang menampilkan visualisasi molekul pemisahan campuran dengan metode destilasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan awal, guru memberikan tanggapan pada aspek kesesuaian isi, kemenarikan dan kemudahan penggunaan denganmasing-masing persentase sebesar 88% dan 86% yang dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Tanggapan siswa terhadap aspek kemenarikan dan kemudahan penggunaan memilikikategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 84%.Kata kunci : animasi, destilasi, pemisahan campuran, simulasi molekul

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the relation between metacognition capability and self-efficacy to students mastery of chemical concepts through SiMaYang type II model. The research subjects were 30 students of the 10th-8 class of Upper Secondary School 16th Bandar Lampung. The research used correlation research with Quite Straighforward design. The result of this research showed that there were correlation between metacognition capability to studentsmastery of chemical concepts, self efficacy to students mastery of chemical concepts, as well as metacognition capability and self efficacy to students mastery of chemical concepts, with r value were 0.66, 0.43, and 0.68, respectively which r value showed that there were positive, strong, and significant correlation between variabels. In addition there was also correlation between metacognition capability to students self efficacy with r value of 0.44, it means that there was positive, moderate, and significant correlation between variabels.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsikan hubungan antara kemampuan metakognisi dan efikasi diri terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa melalui metode pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II. Subjek penelitian yaitu 30 siswa kelas X8 SMA N 16 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian korelasi dengan desain penelitian Quite Straghforward Design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara kemampuan metakognisi terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa, efikasi diri terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa, serta kemampuan metakognisi dan efikasi diri terhadap penguasaan konsep kimia siswa memiliki nilai r berturut-turut yaitu 0,66, 0,43, dan 0,68, yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif, kuat, dan signifikan antar variabel tersebut. Selain itu juga terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan metakognisi terhadap efikasi diri siswa dengan nilai r sebesar 0,44 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan positif, sedang, dan signifikan.Kata kunci: efikasi diri, kemampuan metakognisi, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of problem sol­ving learning to increase students’ flexibility thinking ability through redox reactions ma­terial. This research used Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was chosen by using purposive sampling. Population of the research was tenth grade student’s of SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung at second semester in the 2013/2014 year, the sample were, X science 2 and X science 4. The effectiveness of problem solving learning analyzed based on the differences of significant n-Gain between experiment and control classes. The results showed that the average n-Gain score in experimental and control were 0,65 and 0,32. Based on hyphothesis testing, it can be concluded that problem solving learning is effective to increase students’ flexibility thinking ability through redox reactions material.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir luwes pada reaksi redoks. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel penelitian adalah kelas X IPA2 dan X IPA4. Efektivitas pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir luwes pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,65 dan 0,32. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir luwes pada materi reaksi redoks.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir luwes, model problem solving, reaksi redoks
