Abstract

Masyarakat yang terdiri dari anak-anak Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur`an Masjid Isna’in Al-Hidayah diketahui kurang peduli terhadap keadaan lingkungan hidup dan kurangnya kesadaran serta pemahaman bagaimana mengolah sampah yang baik. Pada kegiatan pengabdian sebelumnya sudah pernah dilakukan penanaman Tanaman Obat Keluarga namun belum memanfaatkan botol bekas sebagai media tanam.  Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan pemahaman anak mengenai kesadaran lingkungan sebagai upaya pemanfaatan dalam meminimalisir pencemaran sampah plastik. Metode pendekatan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode PAR (Participatory Action Research) yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu tahap to Know, tahap to Understand, tahap to Plannd, tahap to Act, dan tahap to Change dengan masyarakat sasaran terdiri atas anak-anak Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur`an Masjid Isna’in Al - Hidayah. Hasil pengabdian Masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek daur ulang sampah yakni sebesar 100% berada dalam kategori paham, sementara pada aspek pengetahuan mengenai upaya pelestarian lingkungan sebesar 75% termasuk dalam kategori paham. Adapun pemahaman peserta terhadap media yang digunakan untuk Tanaman Obat Keluarga, penggunaan kembali barang bekas, dam dampaknya terhadap lingkungan yakni masing-masing sebesar 50%, 100%, dan 87,50%.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa anak-anak rata-rata paham dalam cara mendaur ulang sampah, menjaga lingkungan, mengolah kembali barang bekas, dan mengetahui dampak limbah plastik bagi lingkungan.

Abstract

Evaluation results from national and international education show that students' critical and analytical thinking skills still need to be improved. One way to improve these skills is to develop HOTS questions that can stimulate and assess students' higher-order thinking abilities. However, many schools in Indonesia have not developed enough in creating HOTS instruments that meet good validity standards. Therefore, this research aims to develop a HOTS assessment instrument that meets the criteria for good content and construction validity in ecological material. This research uses a development method (Research & Development) with a 4D approach, which includes the define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The research results showed that the questions developed were valid and reliable. As many as 20% of the questions fall into the very good differential power category. The difficulty level of the questions developed consists of 15% easy questions, 65% medium questions and 20% difficult questions. In addition, construct validity shows that the instrument developed meets the very good criteria based on its aspects. Abstrak. Hasil evaluasi dari pendidikan nasional dan internasional menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis dan analitis siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ini adalah dengan mengembangkan soal-soal HOTS yang dapat merangsang dan menilai kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Namun, banyak sekolah di Indonesia belum cukup berkembang dalam menciptakan instrumen HOTS yang memenuhi standar validitas yang baik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian HOTS yang memenuhi kriteria validitas isi dan konstruksi yang baik pada materi ekologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan (Research & Development) dengan pendekatan 4D, yang mencakup tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal yang dikembangkan valid dan reliabel. Sebanyak 20% dari soal termasuk dalam kategori daya beda sangat baik. Tingkat kesulitan soal yang dikembangkan terdiri dari 15% soal mudah, 65% soal sedang, dan 20% soal sulit. Selain itu, validitas konstruksi menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat baik berdasarkan aspeknya.

Abstract

Prospective Science teachers need well-developed science and digital literacy to help the process of thinking, learning, communicating, working together, and working with their creativity. Unfortunately, various studies show that students' abilities regarding these two types of literacy still need to improve, especially in first-year students. This study aims to (1) analyze the potential impact of the ERIC learning model with the lesson study-based TPACK framework on science and digital literacy and (2) analyze the contribution of lesson study implementation during ERIC learning to the professional development of educators. This study used a concurrent mixed method. In-depth analysis through lesson study was conducted during the implementation of the ERIC learning model in a quasi-experimental setting. The collected data was then analyzed using the ANCOVA test to reveal the difference in mean scores between the experimental and control classes. At the same time, the results of learning observations and reflection on the lesson study phase were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the ERIC learning model with the TPACK framework had a significant effect on scientific and digital literacy. In addition, implementing lesson study enables educators to become more aware of students' learning difficulties and needs and, therefore, develop deeper knowledge about learning requirements

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems identified in a school where the presentation of teaching materials on the human reproductive system did not align with the characteristics of Generation Z students, thereby reducing their interest in learning. To address this issue, relevant and engaging teaching materials are needed. Therefore, a digital magazine format was selected as a potential solution. This study aims to assess the feasibility of a hypercontent digital magazine as teaching material for the human reproductive system, based on material and media aspects. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design adapted from Borg and Gall (1983) which is limited to the stages of developing the initial product and conducting expert validation. The research results showed that the product achieved a feasibility rating of 80% (High) for the media aspect and 78% (high) for the material aspect. These findings suggest that the developed hypercontent digital magazine is feasible for use as teaching material on the human reproductive system.

Abstract

Lembar kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) ideal semestinya mampu mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran, mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir, serta memberikan pengetahuan baru yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan belajar yang sistematis. Namun demikian, masih dijumpai pembelajaran yang menggunakan LKPD hanya memuat kumpulan soal dan ringkasan materi, sehingga belum mampu meningkatkan aktifitas peserta didik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni menganalisis kelayakan LKPD berbasis Learning Cycle 7E berdasarkan aspek validitas dan praktikalitas serta menganalisis peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. LKPD dikembangkan melalui model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation) dan diimplementasikan melalui desain pre-eksperimental. Hasil validasi LKPD oleh ahli bahan ajar dan ahli materi memperoleh persentase masing-masing sebesar 76,38% dan 83% dengan kriteria sangat layak; sementara penilaian  aspek praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik menunjukkan persentase masing-masing sebesar 97,91% dan 83,32% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji t juga menunjukkan bahwa pemberian LKPD berbasis Learning Cycle 7E berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik, dengan efektivitas sedang (N-Gain = 0,7). Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis Learning Cycle 7E layak digunakan serta memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Metacognitive and critical thinking skills are essential skills for being an effective learner. However, the results of previous studies indicate that these two skills in preservice teachers still require improvement. This research aimed to investigate the potential impact of the Exploring-Resuming Integrated Criticizing (ERIC) learning strategy on enhancing the metacognitive and critical thinking skills of preservice teachers. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest and post-test component. The research population consisted of all biology education students at a university in Magelang City, Central Java, Indonesia. The sample consisted of 54 students from two classes enrolled in Plant Physiology, selected via cluster random sampling. Data on metacognitive and critical thinking skills were collected through pretest and posttest essay assessments. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results of this study showed that the ERIC learning strategy has a significant impact on the preservice teachers’ metacognitive and critical thinking skills. We found that implementing ERIC learning led to higher metacognitive and critical thinking skills than those taught with a traditional approach. The research results recommend that ERIC be implemented as an active learning strategy to encourage the development of metacognitive and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan pengelolaan sampah, khususnya sampah organik, masih menjadi tantangan di Indonesia, termasuk di Desa Wringin Putih, Kecamatan Borobudur, Kabupaten Magelang. Rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam memilah dan mengolah sampah menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan dan berdampak negatif pada kesehatan. Oleh karenanya, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga dalam pengolahan sampah organik menjadi kompos menggunakan komposter skala rumah tangga yang dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan materi, pelatihan, dan praktik pembuatan komposter dan proses pengomposan, serta evaluasi program yang dilaksanakan di awal dan akhir kegiatan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan peserta. Sebanyak 33 anggota Fatayat NU berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil program pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari 87,87 menjadi 93,94, dan keterampilan dari 83,64 menjadi 88,48 setelah pelatihan. Pelatihan ini juga berhasil mendorong perubahan perilaku partisipan untuk mengelola sampah secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan melalui bantuan teknologi komposter skala rumah tangga guna mendukung keberlanjutan program. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi dan pelatihan menjadi upaya yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengurangi sampah organik, sehingga berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas lingkungan, serta mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: kompos; komposter skala rumah tangga; pelatihan; sampah organik; sosialisasi AbstractWaste management issues, especially organic waste, are still a challenge in Indonesia, including in Wringin Putih Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency. Low public awareness in sorting and processing waste causes environmental pollution and has a negative impact on health. Thus, this community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of residents in processing organic waste into compost using a household-scale composter through socialization and training. The methods used include material counseling, training and practice of composting, and evaluation carried out at the beginning and end of the activity to determine the improvement of participants' abilities. A total of 33 Fatayat NU members actively participated in this activity. The results showed an increase in the average score of knowledge from 87.87 to 93.94, and skills from 83.64 to 88.48 after the training. This training also succeeded in encouraging changes in participants' behavior to manage waste independently and sustainably through household-scale composter technology assistance to support program sustainability. Therefore, socialization and training can serve as effective strategies to enhance community knowledge and skills in reducing organic waste, thereby contributing to improved environmental quality and supporting sustainable development. Keywords: compost; household scale composter; training; organic waste; socialization.
