Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang dialami secara global telah menyebabkan banyak masalah pada berbagai sektor kehidupan, tidak terkecuali pada dunia pendidikan. Institusi pendidikan yang belum menguasai integrasi Teknologi Informatika dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam pengajaran mengalami tantangan dan hambatan besar ketika harus melaksanakan sistem pembelajaran secara online. Sementara itu, sebagian anak bangsa yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus telah memiliki keterbatasan alamiah yang menghambat proses belajarnya, dan semakin terpuruk dengan kondisi pembelajaran secara online.  Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan program ini mengadopsi beberapa tahapan penelitian pengembangan yang disesuaikan dengan tahapan Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru telah memiliki pemahaman yang tinggi terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Siswa Plus dengan rerata skor sebesar 88,07. Dengan demikian, guru diharapkan mampu memberikan layanan pembelajaran online secara berkualitas dan menarik bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

Maternal prenatal nutrition and a child's nutrition in the first two years of life (First 1000 Days of Life) are important factors in children's neurodevelopment and quality of life for children in the future. Unfortunately, not all mothers have sufficient knowledge to optimize this vital period of growth. This community service program aimed to increase maternal knowledge in optimizing the first 1000 days of life in the PKK group of Perum Tlanakan Indah, Pamekasan Regency. Nutrition parenting activities were carried out through WhatsApp group-based counseling. The results of data analysis using gain score showed an increase in maternal knowledge by 82,22% or the moderate category. The result of this program was expected to be a recommendation for the authority to provide education in their working area and support the optimization of 1000 HPK.ABSTRAKNutrisi prenatal ibu dan nutrisi anak dalam 2 tahun pertama kehidupan (1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan) merupakan faktor penting dalam perkembangan saraf anak dan kualitas hidup anak di masa depan. Sayangnya, tidak semua ibu memiliki pengetahuan yang mencukupi untuk mengoptimalkan periode penting pertumbuhan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu dalam kelompok PKK Perum Tlanakan Indah Kabupaten Pamekasan dalam mengoptimalkan 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK). Kegiatan parenting gizi dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan berbasis WhatssApp group. Hasil analisis data melalui gain score menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu sebesar 82,22% atau dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan bisa menjadi rekomendasi bagi pihak terkait untuk memberikan edukasi di wilayah kerjanya guna mendukung optimalisasi 1000 HPK.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSetiap tanaman mempunyai hormon pertumbuhan alami dalam jumlah yang terbatas. Namun dimikian pada keadaan tertentu, tanaman tidak dapat memproduksi hormon secara maksimal, sehingga dibutuhkan zat pengatur tumbuh atau hormon tambahan. Zat Pengatur Tumbuh (ZPT) telah menjadi komponen penting dalam bidang pertanian untuk mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Namun, kelompok Tani “Palem” di Desa Sumedangan belum memiliki pemahaman dan kemampuan yang cukup dalam membuat zat pengatur tumbuh. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada kelompok Tani “Palem” dalam memproduksi dan mengaplikasikan ZPT pada tanaman. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan diawali dengan sosialisasi melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dilanjutkan dengan pemberian  pelatihan dan pendampingan aplikasi ZPT di lapang. Hasil diseminasi teknologi di lapang yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan respon positif ditunjukkan dengan sikap antusias kelompok Tani “Palem” dalam pembuatan ZPT berbahan rebung bambu dan air kelapa. Hasil evaluasi dan monitoring juga menunjukkan peningkatan empat parameter kemampuan peserta yaitu knowledge (79.07%), attitude (60%), skill (84.44%), dan hasil pretest/post test (83.33%) pada pengaplikasian ZPT pada tanaman.Kata kunci : padi, rebung, zat pengatur tumbuh.ABSTRACTEvery plant has a small amount of natural growth hormone. However, under certain conditions, plants cannot produce enough hormones, so growth regulators or additional hormones are needed. Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) have become an essential component in agriculture to facilitate plant growth. Unfortunately, the "Palem" Farmer Group in Sumedangan Village does not have enough understanding and ability to make plant growth regulators. This community service aimed to provide training and assistance to the "Palem" Farmer Group to produce and apply PGRs on plants. The service methods used were initiated by socialization through Focus Group Discussion (FGD), followed by training assistance and PGRs application assistance in the field. The result of technology dissemination in the area showed a positive response indicated by the "Palem" Farmer group's enthusiastic response while making PGRs using bamboo shoots and coconut water. The evaluation and monitoring results also showed an increase in four parameters of the participants' abilities, including knowledge (70.07%), attitudes (60%), skills (84.44%), and the results of pretest/posttest (83.33%) on the application of ZPT on plants.

Abstract

Evolution is considered the central and unifying theme of the discipline of Biology. Yet, some debates refusing the theory of evolution raise and lead to a problem in understanding the evolution process. This study aimed to examine the relationship between acceptance and understanding of the concept of evolution in pre-service biology teachers with solid religious and educational backgrounds. A correlational design was employed in this current study. The study subjects were students of the Biology Education Department of Universitas Islam Madura, which has implemented NOS (Nature of Science)-based learning. All subjects are Muslims, and 86.84% pursued their education in Islamic boarding schools. The data was measured using MATE (Measure of Acceptance of the Theory of Evolution) and ECK (Evolution Content Knowledge). The study’s findings indicate a significant relationship between acceptance and understanding of the concept of evolution. In addition, the acceptance of the concept of evolution contributed 63.6% towards the understanding. These findings suggest that acceptance of evolution is essential to understand it and that teaching evolution by implementing NOS-based learning is a necessary step to improve students’ acceptance and understanding of the concept of evolution.

Abstract

Utilization of biodiversity, especially plants as ingredients for traditional medicine is a tradition of rural communities in Indonesia. Villagers know traditional medicine from their ancestors which has been passed down from generation to generation. However, knowledge regarding the use of plants for traditional medicine has not been well documented, proving that this knowledge is only mastered by the elderly. Ethnomedicine study is one solution that can be done to overcome this problem. The diversity of plants used by the community for treatment has the potential as a biological reference source. This study aims to identify plants used for traditional medicine by the people of Menoreh Village and to develop and produce a product in the form of a reference book based on the results of the ethnomedicine study conducted. This study uses ethnographic study methods and 4D Research and Development (R&D) models but only up to the develop stage. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there were 79 species of plants belonging to 27 orders. The plants most often used are kencur and awar-awar. The most widely used part of the plant is the leaf, the most common processing method is boiling, the dominant way of use is drinking and the disease that is most commonly treated with medicinal plants, namely coughs and colds. good and worth using with revision. The feasibility assessment of reference books by media experts is 74.6% with sufficient eligibility criteria and is suitable for use with revisions. The overall feasibility of reference books obtained an average value of 82.46% with good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Reciprocal Teaching (RT) learning model on learning interest and biology learning outcomes of high school students. This research was conducted through a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. This study involved students of tenth grade of MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan. Two classes were taken randomly each to be applied RT learning model and conventional learning. Student’s learning interest data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires; while learning outcomes were measured through essay tests. The data obtained were then analyzed using ANACOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that RT could increase student’s learning interest (p = 0.034) and student’s learning outcomes (p = 0.000). Thus, RT can be used as alternative learning model for teachers to empower students' learning interest and learning outcomes. Abstrak. Penelitian ini Bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching (RT) terhadap minat belajar dan hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui desain quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas X MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan. Dua kelas diambil secara acak masing-masing untuk diterapkan model pembelajaran RT dan pembelajaran konvensional. Data minat belajar siswa dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket; sementara hasil belajar diukur melalui tes essai. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji ANACOVA dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa RT dapat meningkatkan minat belajar (p = 0,034) dan hasil belajar siswa (p = 0,000). Dengan demikian, RT dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran bagi guru untuk memberdayakan minat sekaligus hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Pendidikan untuk siswa berkebutuhan khusus perlu terus ditingkatkan agar mereka dapat menjawab kebutuhan dan tantangan global. Sayangnya, konsep sains menjadi topik yang sulit dipahami secara utuh di tengah keterbatasan daya tangkap informasi yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi khusus siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru dalam mengoptimalkan pembelajaran sains di era digital melalui pengembangan video pembelajaran animasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah difusi IPTEKS dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis digital. Kegiatan dibagi menjadi empat tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini telah menghasilkan konten pembelajaran IPA berupa video pembelajaran berbasis animasi, serta peningkatan wawasan guru mengenai pentingnya mengintegrasikan teknologi pembelajaran digital yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Tindak lanjut yang perlu dilakukan adalah melakukan pendampingan dan pelatihan agar inovasi pembelajaran berupa aplikasi pembelajaran terintegrasi yang berisi media pembelajaran IPA berbasis video animasi dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran digital, pembelajaran sains, siswa berkebutuhan khusus [English]: Education for special needs students requires continuous improvement to meet global needs and challenges. Unfortunately, science is difficult to understand due to limited information comprehension influenced by the special conditions of students with special needs. This community service aims to assist teachers in optimizing science learning in the digital era by developing animated learning videos. The method used was the diffusion of science and technology using digital-based science learning media. The service program was divided into four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of the community service program have produced science learning content in the form of animation-based learning videos, as well as increased teacher insight regarding the importance of integrating digital learning technology that is interesting and appropriate to students' needs. The follow-up that needs to be taken is to carry out mentoring and training so that learning innovations in the form of integrated learning applications that contain animated video-based science learning media can be used by teachers to improve the quality of learning services. Abstract

Teachers in the 21st century are expected to be mastering 21st century skills, so pre-service teachers need to be prepared to become professional teachers starting from the education period while studying at university. Mastery of digital and scientific literacy is considered to be the core of the literacy required in 21st century education. This research is a quantitative study using the survey method. The subject of this research is first year science education students at a university in Magelang, totaling 141 students. Descriptive statistics were employed to investigate the digital and scientific literacy. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that pre-service teachers' self-perception of digital and scientific literacy are in the medium category, which means that there is a need to develop effective course designs for promoting both literacies among preservice teachers in order to support the quality of teacher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the level of understanding (literacy) of Universitas Tidar students regarding disaster management. This research uses survey research methods with a quantitative approach that processes and interprets data in the form of numbers and calculations. The population of this study is active students of Universitas Tidar with a total of 13,176 students. The research sample was 910 students from five faculties at Universitas Tidar, namely the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Engineering. The determination of the research sample was carried out using the random sampling method. The results stated that the majority of students had a high level of disaster preparedness in the category of knowledge parameters about disasters and resource mobilization, while the parameters of disaster emergency response plans, disaster warning and disaster preparedness showed that the position of disaster management literacy was generally still in the medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh mengajarkan Nature of Science (NOS) terhadap penerimaan dan pemahaman konsep evolusi para mahasiswa di Universitas Islam Madura. Penelitian dilakukan melalui kuasi eksperimental dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Data mengenai penerimaan konsep evolusi diukur menggunakan instrumen MATE (Measure of Acceptance of The Theory of Evolution); sementara pemahaman konsep evolusi diukur dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep dalam bentuk multiple choise. Data berupa penerimaan dan pemahaman konsep evolusi pada saat pretest dan postest kemudian diuji statistik menggunakan analisis kovarian (anakova) dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mengajarkan Nature of Science (NOS) berpengaruh terhadap penerimaan konsep evolusi (F hitung sebesar 57,330 dengan p-value = 0,000), namun tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep evolusi (F hitung sebesar 3,339 dengan p-value = 0,073)
