Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek antifertilitas ekstrak mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza terhadap kualitas spermatozoa mencit (Mus musculus L.). 24 ekor mencit dibagi dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan yaitu : Kontrol, DN (ekstrak daun), KB (ekstrak kulit batang) dan BH (ekstrak buah) mangrove 20 mg/bb. Ekstrak diberikan secara oral setiap hari selama 34 hari. Pada hari ke-35 mencit dibius dengan klorofom selanjutnya dikorbankan dan dilakukan pengambilan cauda epididymis untuk pengamatan kualitas spermatozoa mencit. Parameter kualitas spermatozoa yang diamati yaitu persentase morfologi spermatozoa abnormal, persentase viabilitas spermatozoa dan persentase motipitas spermatozoa. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan uji BNT (α=0,05%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak mangrove  Bruguiera gymnorrhiza secara signifikan menurunkan kualitas spermatozoa  mencit. Penurunan motilitas terbanyak terjadi pada DN (20,6%)  dibandingkan dengan KB (83,1%) dan BH (80,3%). Persentase rata-rata morfologi spermatozoa normal pada semua perlakuan adalah kontrol  (85,1%), DN (15,1%), KB (58,8%) dan BH (62,5%). Persentase rata-rata viabilitas spermatozoa mencit hidup adalah kontrol (81,5%), DN (24,6%), KB (17,1%) dan BH (24,1%). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza memiliki efek antifertilitas karena menyebabkan penurunan kualitas spermatozoa dengan meningkatkan persentase morfologi spermatozoa abnormal, persentase viabilitas dan menurunkan persentase motilitas spermatozoa.Kata kunci : Ekstrak, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Motilitas Spermatozoa, Morfologi Spermatozoa, Viabilitas Spermatozoa Antifertility Effects Mangrove Extract Bruguiera gymnorrhiza Lamk. Against Spermatozoa Quality of Mice (Mus musculus L.) ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the antifertility effect of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza mangrove extract on the sperm quality of mice (Mus musculus L.). 24 mice were divided into 4 treatment groups, namely: control, DN (leaf extract), KB (bark extract) and mangrove fruit extract (BH) 20 mg/ww. The extract was administered orally every day for 34 days. On the 35th day, the mice were anesthetized with chloroform, then sacrificed and the cauda epididymis was taken to observe the sperm quality of the mice. The parameters of spermatozoa quality observed were the percentage of abnormal spermatozoa morphology, the percentage of spermatozoa viability and the percentage of spermatozoa motility. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and BNT test (α=0,05%). The results showed that the administration of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza mangrove extract significantly reduced the sperm quality of mice. The greatest decrease in motility occurred in DN (20.6%) compared to KB (83.1%) and BH (80.3%). The average percentage of normal spermatozoa morphology in all treatments was control (85.1%), DN (15.1%), family planning (58.8%) and BH (62.5%). The average percentage of spermatozoa viability of live mice was control (81.5%), DN (24.6%), KB (17.1%) and BH (24.1%). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the mangrove extract of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza has an antifertility effect because it causes a decrease in the quality of spermatozoa by increasing the percentage of abnormal spermatozoa morphology, the percentage of viability and decreasing the percentage of spermatozoa motilityKeyword : Extracts, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Motility Spermatozoa, Morphology Spermatozoa, Viability Spermatozoa

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is concerned to transitivity system, focusing in the types of process which were uttered by the schizophrenic in A Beautiful Mind movie, John Nash. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. There were six types of process in transitivity system. The results of data analysis showed the total numbers were: material process 44.67%, mental process 18.83%, relational process 28.03%, behavioral process 1.17%, verbal process 4.53% and existential process 2.77%. The most dominant process is material process, that is the process which indicates action; activities and events, things happen and people or other actors do things or make them happen. It occurred because many statements showed Nash’s activities with real people and hallucination people especially when Nash’s hallucination friends about Charles, Parcher and Marcee were kept in his mind and he talked much with them about their activities because he met his hallucination friends intensively.   Keywords: schizophrenia, transitivity, process, movie

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi pemimpin di kota Banda Aceh dalam menciptakan kepemimpinan yang madani. Interview and observasi merupakan metode utama dalam pengumpulan data. Sedangkan Deskriptif kualitatif Analisis digunakan sebagai metode analisis. Subjek penelitan ini adalah Walikota Banda Aceh, Kasubag Sosial Keagamaan, Ketua DPRK Kota Banda Aceh, Kepala Bagian Bidang Dakwah Dinas Syari’ah Islam, 1 orang tokoh adat dan 1 orang masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan Islam merupakan solusi atas krisis kepemimpinan yang terjadi karena kepemimpinan Islam terfokus kepada perbaikan kebaikan duniawi dan meraih kehidupan ukhrawi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemimpin kota Banda Aceh menerapkan Beberapa prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan Islam, diantaranya yaitu: Asy-Syura, Muru’ah, Al-Jud Wa Fi Al-Haq, Ash-Shidq, I’daad Ash-Shaf Ats-Tsani Min Al-Qiyadah.

Abstract

Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) reported that 20.62% of identified food product labels did not meet the provisions. This results in low compliance with reading information labels and nutritional composition among the public. Low compliance with reading information and nutritional labels can occur due to disinterest in information resulting in poor understanding of food product labels. This study aims to analyze the relationship between attitudes towards health and food product labels with compliance with reading food product labels. This research involved 47 students of the undergraduate nutrition study program. Data on attitudes towards health and nutritional labels were obtained using a respondent agreement level form. Data on label reading compliance was obtained from questionnaire. The chi square test is used to analyze the relationship between variables. The research results showed that the majority of respondents (63.8%) had a positive attitude regarding the level of approval of health and food product labels. There is no significant relationship between attitudes towards health and food product labels and compliance with reading nutritional value information labels (p=0.330). Nutrition students are expected to increase their positive attitude towards reading nutritional value information labels through education or practice reading food labels.

Abstract

Status gizi merupakan kondisi tubuh yang dinilai sebagai hasil konsumsi makan. Ketidakseimbangan asupan dan penggunaan zat gizi akan menimbulkan masalah gizi. Status gizi dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor salah satunya yaitu pengetahuan gizi. Kurangnya pengetahuan gizi dalam kontribusi masalah gizi yang dialami di awali dengan adanya kebiasaan dan pola makan yang salah. Pengetahuan gizi dapat menjadi dasar dalam memilih dan mengatur pola makan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat gambaran pengetahuan gizi pada mahasiswa gizi di wilayah Kepulauan Riau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasional dengan desain cross sectional pada bulan October – November 2022. Populasi pada penelitian yaitu mahasiswa program studi gizi di wilayah Kepulauan Riau dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 50 sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar mahasiswa gizi di Kepulauan Riau memiliki tingkat pengetahuan gizi cukup (42%), kurang (38%), dan baik (20%) sekitar 10 orang. Diharapkan mahasiswa gizi di wilayah Kepulaun Riau dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait gizi dan diimplementasikan ke kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga meningkatkan derajat kesehatan.

Abstract

Diet is information that defines eating patterns as well as the types of food consumed on a daily basis. Individual health status will be influenced by the use of a healthy diet. Inaccuracy in establishing regular meal routines also adds to imbalanced nutritional intake. The objective of this research is to describe dietary habits of nutritional students in Kepulauan Riau. This study was cross sectional study approach in October – November 2022. The population in this study is nutritional students (17 – 24 years old) in Kepulauan Riau as amount 50 subject. Data collection using a questionnaire by google form. The result of this study showed that the most frequently consumed rice every day (94%), eggs 3-4x/week (40%), tempeh 3-4x/week (40%), spinach 1-2x/week (64%), and bananas consumed 2-3x/day (2%) and 1-2x/week (54%). It can be concluded that the dietary habits of students majoring in nutrition in the Kepulauan Riau is still not diverse. Suggestions for nutrition students to improve their dietary habits by paying attention to the frequency, amount and type of food consumed.

Abstract

The Ministry of Health introduced the “Fill My Plate” program as a daily food guide to achieve good nutritional status. The concept of the contents of my plate visually shows the composition of the food on one plate for one meal. 50% of the contents of the plate in "fill my plate" consists of food sources of energy and builders. Objectives and Benefits of the activity to increase the knowledge of school children and teachers regarding the contents of my plate, increase public awareness in efforts to prevent obesity, as a training tool for nutrition students in providing nutrition and health education to the community. This activity was attended by school children in grades 4, 5 and 6 at SDN 005 Lubuk Baja. The result of this outreach activity is an increase in school children's knowledge regarding balanced nutrition. It is hoped that after counseling children will be able to eat balanced nutritional foods appropriately and adequately so that children can grow normally and not be obese.

Abstract

The counseling on the nutritional status of adults and the elderly in Sijantung Village, Galang District, Riau Islands, was conducted to enhance the community's knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition for long-term health. The counseling session was held on August 14, 2024, at Posyandu Permata Hati, and attended by adult and elderly groups. The topics covered included nutritional needs at various stages of life and ways to maintain and improve nutritional status. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the importance of good nutrition and simple ways to achieve it in daily life. This counseling is expected to be the first step in improving the nutritional status of adults and the elderly in the village

Abstract

The study highlighted an alarming rise in anemia cases among pregnant women in Batam City, with a dramatic increase in incidence from 26.3% in 2022 to 52.65% in 2023. Conducted at Posyandu Bakau Serip and Sakura Indah Sambau Community Health Center, this cross-sectional research aimed to assess the correlation between protein intake and anemia incidence among 45 pregnant women selected using purposive sampling. Protein intake was evaluated through a Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), and anemia was determined by measuring hemoglobin levels. Using the Chi-square test, the study revealed a significant relationship between protein intake and anemia (p = 0.031). Insufficient protein intake was associated with a notably higher risk of anemia. These findings emphasize the critical role of adequate protein consumption during pregnancy in reducing the risk of anemia and its associated complications.

Abstract

A balanced menu is consuming food to meet the body's need for nutrients. Nutritional deficiencies in one food by providing a balanced menu can be fulfilled by other foods. For this reason, providing a balanced menu with a variety of foods is very necessary to meet nutritional adequacy. The aim of this activity is to socialize guidelines for balanced nutrition and what's on my plate to school children as an effort to prevent obesity. The implementation method in this service is question and answer and discussion using poster media. The target group for this service is students in Classes 4, 5, and 6 of SDN 005 Lubuk Baja. The results of the community service show that the students' knowledge has increased as seen from the results of the pre-test and the post test is 60 points, with the lowest score being 6 and the highest being 47. It is hoped that after this service the students of SDN 005 will be able to eat foods in accordance with the guidelines for balanced nutrition for school children.
