Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing to what extent students' ability to relate mathematical objects to problems number patterns. The method used in this research is a quantitative description. The data collection techniques used are tests and interviews. The data analysis technique uses model miles and hiberman, namely by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' ability to relate mathematical objects to pattern problems numbers is not maximized. This is indicated by the percentage of achievements an indicator of the ability to associate mathematical objects that only reached an average of 55.26% consisting of 48.44% fact indicators, concept 45.50%, principle 63.80%, and operation 63.33%.

Abstract

Matematika mempunyai peran dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan manusia. Oleh karena itu, upaya untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika seharusnya menjadi perhatian serius khususnya bagi para ahli pendidikan matematika. Salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran matematika adalah memperbaiki kondisi pembelajaran matematika itu sendiri. Hal ini dipandang sangat penting karena pembelajaran merupakan suatu kegiatan paling utama dalam pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran perlu dikelola secara sungguh-sungguh, karena peserta didik kurang terlibat secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal inilah yang mendorong peneliti mencoba untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran aktif berbasis penemuan terbimbing dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk materi Bangun Ruang di kelas VIII SMP Se Provinsi Gorontalo. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika dengan model penemuan terbimbing yang baik untuk materi bangun ruang di kelas VIII SMP. Proses pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan modifikasi model 4-D menurut Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define) dan perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba perangkat diperoleh hasil bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan model penemuan terbimbing yang telah disusun dikategorikan baik. Perangkat pembelajaran dimaksud terdiri dari Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD), Buku Peserta Didik, dan Tes Hasil Belajar (THB).

Abstract

Persamaan kuadrat dan fungsi kuadrat merupakan dua materi yang mudah untuk dibedakan tetapi keduanya tidak bisa dipisahkan. Penguasaan sebagian besar siswa terhadap fungsi kuadrat dan grafiknya belum menunjukkan batas minimal skor indikator pencapaian kompotensi (IPK). Hal ini terjadi karena bermasalah dalam pengusaan fungsi kuadrat dan menggambar grafik fungsi tersebut. Hasil penjajagan menunjukkan bahwa kondisi tersebut adalah akaibat dari (1) penguasaan siswa yang tidak memadai tentang bentuk persamaan kuadrat, (2) siswa tidak menguasai cara menyelidiki dan menemukan akar-akar persamaan kuadrat. Untuk meningkatkan penguasaan siswa terhadapa fungsi kuadrat dan grafik dilakukan kajian melalui tindakan kelas, dengan fokus tindkan adalah penggunaan teknik inkuiri dalam pembalajaran. Teknik inkuiri dengan karakteristik dan langkah pembelajaran penyelidikan dalam penerapaanya (a) memberi ruang kepada siswa belajar untuk berpikir (learning how to thik), (b) menempatkan siswa melakukan proses penyelidikan sesuai dengan cara masing-masing dalam belajarnya dan (c) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan penguasaan dalam range rata-rata atau lebih, tidak terhambat perkembangan penguasaannya oleh siswa yang di bawah rata-rata. Sejalan dengan proses tindikan kelas semua data didokumentasikan, data dimaksud berwujud data kuantitatif maupun data kualitif yang terkait dengan (a) aktivitas guru, (b) aktivitas siswa (kelompok dan individu) dan (c) penguasaan siswa terhadap fungsi kuadrat dan grafik. Semua data dideskripisikan baik dalam bentuk naratif maupun dalam deskripsi statistik. Aktivitas siswa melakukan penyelidikan terbimbing dalam pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan penguasaan mereka terhadap persamaan kuadrat dan fungsi kuadrat dan grafinya. Penguasaan siswa kelas IXD SMP Negeri 1 Kabila pada materi fungsi kuadrat dan grafiknya dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan teknik inkuiri dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Rainbow vertex-connection number is the minimum k-coloring on the vertex graph G and is denoted by rvc(G). Besides, the rainbow-vertex connection number can be applied to some special graphs, such as prism graph and path graph. Graph operation is a method used to create a new graph by combining two graphs. Therefore, this research uses corona product operation to form rainbow-vertex connection number at the graph resulting from corona product operation of prism graph and path graph (Pm,2 P3) (P3 Pm,2). The results of this study obtain that the theorem of rainbow vertex-connection number at the graph resulting from corona product operation of prism graph and path graph (Pm,2 P3) (P3 Pm,2) for 3 = m = 7 are rvc (G) = 2m rvc (G) = 2.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of mathematics learning media in the form of interactive multimedia-based videos. Media development was carried out for learning flat-plane geometry on the topic of kites. The media development method used a descriptive approach through 3 stages, namely defining, designing, and developing by involving students of SMP Negeri 3 Gorontalo as research subjects. The multimedia-based interactive video learning media produced was declared valid based on expert judgment both in terms of media and on material substance. In its application, there was a positive response from more than 70% of students who took part in the learning process. This shows that the multimedia-based interactive video learning media is good and suitable for use as a medium for learning mathematics.

Abstract

This article discusses the interest profile of mathematics students to find out how the interest profile of learning mathematics students of class VIII Junior High School 1 Limboto in the pandemic covid-19. The method used is the method of descriptive research. The sample used in this study amounted to 60 students who were divided into 30 students as online learning research samples and 30 students became offline learning research samples. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The utilization of learning interest data is done using a questionnaire with 5 measuring indicators, namely (1) feeling happy, (2) Interest in learning, (3) attention in learning, (4) involvement in learning, (5) knowledge in learning. The results showed that students of class VIII of State Junior High School 1 Limboto school year 2020/2021 have a high interest in learning mathematics, both students who follow math teaching online and offline.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Bangun ruang sisi lengkung yang dibahas, difokuskan pada topik tabung dengan siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo sebagai subjek penelitian. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi proses pembelajaran dan melalui angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika bangun ruang sisi lengkung tabung mencapai kategori “sangat baik”, dengan indikator: kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran sebesar 84%, aktifitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia interaktif sebesar 84%, dan respon positif peserta didik terhadap multimedia interaktif sebesar 85%.

Abstract

This article discusses the problem-solving abilities of students in the flat-sided geometry material in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo involving 35 students of class IX as research subjects, who were selected using purposive sampling data collection techniques. Data collection was carried out using tests in the form of story questions to measure problem-solving abilities and interviews to strengthen and add the required information. Indicators used to measure problem-solving abilities include: 1) understanding the problem, 2) plan a solution, 3) solve the problem, 4) recheck the results obtained. The results showed that the average achievement of students' ability levels in solving contextual questions in class IX of SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo was still in the low category, namely 53.51% although there were some students who got high scores. This is shown by the achievement of the indicator of understanding the problem with a percentage of 44.86%, the indicator of planning for completion getting a percentage of 61.14%, the indicator of solving the problem getting a percentage of 63.86% and the indicator re-checking the results obtained getting a percentage of 43.62%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the edmodo platform based on e-learning­ on students mathematics learning outcomes on number pattern material. The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Botupingge in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is an experimental research using the quasi-experimental method. The research design used was a non-equivalent control group design involving 2 classes as the research sample, namely the experimental class and the control class which were given different treatment. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique with the number of students in each class as many as 25 students. The data collection technique used is the provision of tests including pre-test and post-test in the form of essays to obtain data on student learning outcomes. The results of the analysis with the t-test at a significance level of 0.05 indicate a difference between the learning outcomes of students who are taught using Edmodo and Google Meet. The average student learning outcomes using Edmodo is 77.64, which is higher than the average student learning outcomes using Google Meet at 67.72. Based on the results of the average N-Gain calculation, the gain value is 0.61. This shows that the effectiveness of using the Edmodo platform is in the medium category. This study measures student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain using the Edmodo platform, so it is hoped that who will conduct researcher further research on the use of the Edmodo platform in the affective domain or in other educational units.

Abstract

Abstract:Reasoning based research generally examines the application of learning models or learning methods. So far, there are still rarely studies that examine the use of teaching materials to improve the quality of learning. This study aims to develop teaching materials related to the central angle and the circumference of the circle based on reasoning. The development model used is the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The analysis was conducted by involving students of SMPN 1 Kabila as research subjects. The results showed the quality of teaching materials was declared valid with a percentage of 75%. Practicality of teaching materials based on the results of student questionnaire responses reached very good categories with a percentage of 82.82%. This shows that reasoning based teaching materials can be used in the learning process. Abstrak:Penelitian berbasis penalaran umumnya mengkaji tentang penerapan model atau metode pembelajaran. Sejauh ini, masih jarang penelitian yang mengkaji tentang penggunaan bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar materi hubungan sudut pusat dan sudut keliling lingkaran berbasis penalaran. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu Analysis (Analisis), Design (Desain), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (Implementasi) dan Evaluation (Evaluasi).  Analisis dilakukan dengan melibatkan siswa SMPN 1 Kabila sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kualitas bahan ajar dinyatakan valid dengan persentase 75%. Kepraktisan bahan ajar berdasarkan hasil angket respon siswa mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 82,82%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis penalaran dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
