Abstract

Learning media is a very effective for teachers to improve the quality of learning and ensure that students can understand the material better. For this reason, it is necessary to design learning media that can facilitate students to understand the material being studied. This research aims to develop and implement a learning e-module by utilizing crossword games on the subject of flat-sided spatial construction for class VIII junior high school students, through a 4-D development research design, which are define, design (planning), develop (development), and dissiminate (distribution). E-module development utilizes facilities on the Heyzine website and other supporting applications such as Ms Word and Canva. The subjects of this research were 27 class VIII students at SMPN 1 Bulawa. The instruments used in this research were a questionnaire for media expert validation, a material expert validation questionnaire, a teacher respondent questionnaire and a student respondent questionnaire. The media expert validation results got a score of 3.55, including very valid criteria, while the material expert validation results got a score of 3.72 with the same criteria, which very valid. The results of the limited scale trial to see practicality through the teacher respondent questionnaire obtained a percentage of 97%, which the very practical criteria, while the student respondent questionnaire obtained a percentage of 93.57%, also included in the very practical criteria. Thus, the e-module developed is declared suitable for use and dissemination.

Abstract

If be a graph and edge coloring of G is a function , rainbow connection number is the minimum-k coloration of the rainbow on the edge of graph G and denoted by rc(G). Rainbow connection numbers can be applied to the result of operations on some special graphs, such as diamond graphs and fan graphs. Graph operation is a method used to obtain a new graph by combining two graphs. This study performed amalgamation operations to obtain rainbow connection numbers and rainbow-total-connection numbers in diamond graphs ( ) and fan graphs ( ) or . Abstract

This research aims to reformulate and generalize Van Aubel’s Theorem using a complex number approach. Classically, Van Aubel’s Theorem states that if squares are constructed externally on the sides of an arbitrary quadrilateral, then the line segments connecting the centers of opposite squares are congruent and perpendicular to each other. Through a complex algebra approach, this research systematically reconstructs the proof of the theorem and extends its application to more complex geometric forms. The representation of points, rotations, and lines in the complex plane is employed to reprove and develop generalizations of the theorem. The results demonstrate that the use of complex numbers facilitates geometric analysis and reveals new patterns in geometric relationships. This research contributes to the advancement of modern geometry through algebraic methods and opens opportunities for further exploration of complex numbers in solving other geometric problems.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, peserta didik pastinya sudah mengenal dan juga bisa menggunakan teknologi. Teknologi di dalam pembelajaran tentunya diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu cara untuk mengatasi kecenderungan pembelajaran monoton yang ada di sekolah pada umumnya. Salah satu teknologi yang bisa dipakai dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu Quizizz. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan Quizizz yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mendeksripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel setelah diterapkan Quizizz dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Pada penelitian ini ada 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-5 SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo yang berjumlah 25 Siswa. Analisis data kuantitatif dari observasi dan tes menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, baik guru (83%) maupun siswa (86%) sudah mencapai hasil optimal. Dan untuk tingkat ketuntasan belajar matematika siswa (88%) sudah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasannya adala 80%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan Quizizz dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel siswa kelas VIII-5 SMP negeri 2 Gorontalo.

Abstract

The background research was conducted as an effort to overcome students' low interest and understanding of mathematics due to the monotonous learning approach. Therefore, this study aims to develop a mathematics learning media application in the form of comics that focuses on the material of linear equations with two variables, specifically designed for eighth-grade junior high school students. This research uses the Plomp development model, which includes the stages of initial investigation, design, realization/reconstruction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. This research was conducted at Junior High School 1 Bulango Timur. The data collection approach used in this research is a validation sheet and a questionnaire for students and teachers. Data analysis in this study used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of validation by experts show that this media is valid, with the readability test obtaining a feasibility level of 97.27% and student responses reaching 99.2% (very practical). Teacher responses also showed practicality at 91.7%. This media is proven to increase student learning motivation, facilitate understanding of abstract concepts, and create captivating learning experiences, so it is feasible to be applied in learning mathematics on the material of the system of linear equations of two variables.
