Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Teorema Pythagoras dengan menggunakan aplikasi GeoGebra. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 15 Gorontalo pada tahun ajaran 2021-2022 semester genap. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 20 siswa dan seorang guru sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar pengamatan guru, lembar pengamatan siswa dan tes hasil belajar. Penelitian ini berlangsung dengan 2 siklus. Hasil pengamatan kegiatan guru yang mencapai kategori baik dan sangat baik meningkat dari 61,25% menjadi 82,5%. Selanjutnya hasil pengamatan siswa yang mencapai kategori baik dan sangat baik juga maningkat dari 61,11% menjadi 80,56%. Untuk hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan yaitu 64,91% menjadi 81,83%. Semua aspek penilaian telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan belajar pada siklus II melalui penerapan aplikasi GeoGebra.

Abstract

Bilangan terhubung pelangi didefinisikan sebagai banyaknya jumlah warna minimum yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat graf G menjadi terhubung pelangi, dengan syarat sisi yang termasuk dalam lintasan pelangi tidak boleh memiliki warna yang sama. Bilangan terhubung pelangi disimbolkan dengan rc(G). Seiring berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan penelitian, maka bilangan terhubung pelangi mulai diterapkan ke dalam operasi graf. Penelitian ini menggunakan operasi korona untuk mengetahui bilangan terhubung pelangi dari graf antiprisma (APm) dan graf lengkap (K4). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka diperoleh teorema bilangan terhubung pelangi dari graf (APm ⊙ K4) = 2m untuk 3 ≤ m ≤ 7 dan bilangan terhubung pelangi dari graf (K4 ⊙ APm) = 4 untuk m = {3, 4} ∧ 2m − 2 untuk 5 ≤ m ≤ 9, m ganjil ∧ 2m untuk 5 ≤ m ≤ 9, m genap.

Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of online learning in the mathematics education study program at the State University of Gorontalo. It intends to describe the effectiveness of online learning in the mathematics education study program. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods and data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires and observations. The results showed that the effectiveness of online learning in the mathematics education study program at the State University of Gorontalo was effective. The effectiveness is indicated by the results of observations that meet the effectiveness criteria. The analysis of the questionnaire obtained based on three aspects is in the fairly good category, namely the learning planning aspect with a percentage of 76.67% classified in the good enough category, and the online learning activity aspect with a percentage of 73.11% is classified in the good enough category, aspects of media and online learning facilities with a percentage of 64.83% classified in the fairly good category. This result means that online learning can be an effective learning alternative if it has a good learning plan, interesting learning activities, as well as supporting and adequate media and facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of interactive multimedia on students' mathematical reasoning abilities on prismatic material. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test-only control group design. Students in one of the junior high schools in Gorontalo were the samples in this study, where class VIII-2 was the experimental class, and class VIII-1 was the control class. The experimental class was a class that was given learning treatment using interactive multimedia, and the control class was a class that was given learning treatment using PowerPoint. Data on students' mathematical reasoning abilities were collected by giving tests of mathematical reasoning abilities using questions in the form of descriptions. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the descriptive analysis obtained are the average mathematical reasoning ability of students in the experimental class is higher than the control class. These results are supported by the inferential analysis, which reveals that interactive multimedia has more effect on students' mathematical reasoning abilities than PowerPoint.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengarah pada pengembangan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif berbasis penalaran yang valid dan efektif untuk pembelajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang prisma. Media ini dikembangkan menggunakan model ADDIE melalui 5 tahap yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Sumber perolehan data berasal dari angket dan tes. Subjek dari penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo yang berjumlah 29 orang. Berdasarkan penilaian media diperoleh dari ahli media sebesar 3,48 dengan kategori sangat valid sedangkan oleh ahli materi sebesar 3,23 berada pada kategori valid. Dari perolehan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran dinyatakan valid sehingga layak digunakan. Terhadap keefektifan media, hasil respon siswa menunjukkan persentase sebesar 87% dengan kategori sangat positif dan hasil tes kemampuan penalaran siswa menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ketuntasan siswa secara keseluruhan berada diatas kriteria ketuntasan minimal sehingga media iniefektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika bangun ruang prisma.

Abstract

When a teacher conducts an assessment of the ability of students to solve problems, a good test instrument is needed. However, in reality there are still many teachers who use test instrument without going through an expert assessment process, causing the assessment of student learning outcomes to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to produce a test instrument for high school students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The type of research used was Research and Development (RD). The sample used was students of SMA N 1 TAPA class XI IPA with a total of 100 people. The Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (4D) development model was used in this research. The research was divided into 3 stages of the development procedure (preliminary study stage, development stage, and testing stage). The results of the study show that the resulting instrument is valid, with CVR and CVI = 1 and has a high level of reliability (0.77). Based on the results of the implementation of the test instrument in the field trial class, it showed that the assessment of student learning outcomes was more optimal, which was obtained if students' mathematical solving abilities were quite optimal even though there were still indicators that were included in the less category. By developing this test instrument, it will optimize teacher assessment in assessing student learning outcomes, especially in solving math problems.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts in relation and function material the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Suwawa for the 2023/2024 academic year within two cycles. The subjects were 24 students in grade VIII 3 and a mathematics teacher. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation and tests. Consisting of observation sheets of teacher activities, students, and essay. From the observations, teacher activity increased by 12% from cycle 1(77% with the “good” category) to cycle II (89% with the “very good”category) and student activities increased by 27% from cycle 1 (60% with the “good” category) to cycle II (87% with “the very good” category). Likewise, students’ abilities to understand mathematical concept increased by 12% from 74% in cycle I to 86% in cycle II. Thus, there is a significant increasein the understanding of mathematical concept through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' discovery abilities in the learning process and when facing problems in the material derived from algebraic functions. The research was carried out in one of the Senior high schools in Gorontalo. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI who opened 318 people. The techniques used in data collection are initial tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that students' discovery abilities on the derivative material of algebraic functions varied. Some have high abilities, medium abilities, and low abilities, but in general, they are dominated by students who have moderate abilities.

Abstract

Learning mathematics requires students to understand concepts, the low understanding of students' concepts becomes an obstacle in learning. So that the researchers used the background to apply the Index Card Match (ICM) learning model. This study aims to improve understanding of mathematical concepts using the Index Card Match (ICM) learning model on arithmetic sequences and series material. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were students of class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa for the academic year 2022/2023 with a total of 28 students. The techniques used in data collection are observation and tests. The data analysis technique in this study is the analysis of observation of teacher activities, student activities and tests of understanding mathematical concepts. The design used in this study is the research design of the Kammis and Mc Taggart models. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The study consisted of 2 cycles. The results showed that the implementation of learning using the Index Card Match learning model on arithmetic sequences and series materials could improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This is evidenced by the average results of the mathematical concept understanding test in the first cycle which is 63.57, increasing in the second cycle to 81.42 with the percentage of observations of teacher activities in the first cycle reaching 71.15% while the second cycle reaches 86.53% and the percentage the results of the observation of student activity in the first cycle reached 65.17%, an increase in the second cycle reached 83.92%. Based on the research above, there are benefits in applying the Index Card Match (ICM) learning model, namely, in order to increase understanding of mathematical concepts and foster motivation and interest in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran Student Created Case Studies (SCCS) pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024 semester ganjil. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara dengan jumlah total 25 orang terdiri atas 14 orang siswa laki-laki dan 11 orang siswa Perempuan. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Prosedur penelitian meliputi dua siklus yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari; rencana, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.Hasil pengamatan aktivitas guru yang mencapai kategori baik dan sangat baik meningkat dari 66,67% menjadi 88,10%. Selanjutnya hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa yang mencapai kategori baik dan sangat baik meningkat dari 55,88% menjadi 85,29%. Adapun hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 64% menjadi 84%. Semua aspek telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan pada siklus II melalui penggunaan metode Student Created Case Studies (SCCS).Kata Kunci: Student Created Case Studies (SCCS), Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel.
