Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran keluarga dalam pendidikan karakter anak usia dini di era digital. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana orang tua membimbing dan mengarahkan anak dalam penggunaan media digital untuk membentuk karakter yang positif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media digital yang berlebihan tanpa pengawasan dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan karakter anak, seperti memicu perilaku impulsif dan menurunkan keterampilan sosial. Namun, media digital yang digunakan secara selektif dan dalam batas wajar dapat mendukung pendidikan karakter, terutama jika orang tua terlibat aktif dalam mengawasi dan memberi arahan. Pengawasan orang tua, pemilihan konten edukatif, serta keterlibatan anak dalam aktivitas non-digital seperti bermain dan berinteraksi secara langsung, terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat nilai-nilai karakter seperti empati, kesabaran, dan tanggung jawab. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran keluarga dalam menciptakan keseimbangan antara penggunaan media digital dan aktivitas langsung untuk mendukung perkembangan karakter anak usia dini yang positif di era digital.

Abstract

Penguatan literasi melalui pengajaran membaca pada mata kuliah pembelajaran sastra di perguruan tinggi. Literasi yang kuat sangat penting untuk mendukung kemampuan akademik dan keterampilan kritis mahasiswa, khususnya dalam memahami teks sastra. Pembelajaran sastra di perguruan tinggi tidak hanya berfokus pada pengenalan karya sastra, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menganalisis, menginterpretasi, dan mengkritisi teks sastra secara mendalam. Melalui pengajaran membaca yang berbasis pada teks sastra, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi mereka, baik dalam hal pemahaman bacaan, penalaran kritis, maupun kemampuan untuk menyampaikan pendapat secara sistematis. Penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai strategi pengajaran membaca yang dapat diterapkan dalam mata kuliah pembelajaran sastra, termasuk teknik membaca kritis, diskusi kelompok, dan penerapan teori sastra dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran yang efektif dapat memperkuat literasi mahasiswa, mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam diskursus akademik. Dengan demikian, literasi menjadi salah satu pilar penting dalam pendidikan sastra yang dapat membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan yang berguna dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) dalam mata kuliah Teori Sastra pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia di Universitas Bengkulu. Pengembangan media MOOC dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Dalam tahap analisis, dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan pembelajaran serta karakteristik mahasiswa yang menjadi target penggunaan media ini. Tahap desain mencakup penyusunan struktur materi pembelajaran, pemilihan platform MOOC, serta pembuatan modul interaktif yang sesuai dengan kurikulum Teori Sastra. Pada tahap pengembangan, dilakukan pembuatan konten berbentuk video pembelajaran, teks, dan kuis interaktif yang dapat diakses secara fleksibel oleh mahasiswa. Tahap implementasi melibatkan uji coba penggunaan media MOOC kepada sejumlah mahasiswa untuk memperoleh umpan balik terkait efektivitas dan kepraktisan dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai keberhasilan pengembangan media MOOC ini dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi Teori Sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media MOOC dalam mata kuliah ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa, mempercepat pemahaman, serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan mandiri. Pengembangan media MOOC ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran Teori Sastra di perguruan tinggi, khususnya pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Bengkulu.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital books in enhancing the early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD IT Auladuna I, specifically within Group B, in 2024. The research employed a quantitative experimental method, utilizing a stratified random sampling technique to select a sample of 28 children from the entire population. Data were collected through documentation and observation, employing reading ability tests that assessed indicators such as reading independence, simple word recognition, comprehension, and pronunciation of vowels and consonants. The data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, followed by a t-test to evaluate the hypothesis. The results indicated a significant positive effect of digital book usage on reading skill improvement, evidenced by a calculated tcount > ttable, namely 2,760 >1,691. These findings demonstrate that integrating digital books in educational settings can stimulate early reading development among young learners. Educators are encouraged to adopt digital media in their teaching practices to foster children's literacy. Furthermore, this research provides a foundation for future studies to investigate additional effective learning media that support literacy development.

Abstract

This article aims to describe how community service through implementation of the SMART Adult Learning Strategy to prepare the young generation (in English ability) for global challenges. The activity was carried out in October 2023 at Bengkulu University, with a total of 51 participants in the workshop who were students, teachers, community members, and lecturers from various institutions. To see the workshop's impact on participant English Self-Efficacy which is closely related to their readiness to communicate with international, English-speaking countries, instrument of a closed questionnaire with 7 answer choices of English Self-Efficacy (ESE) Scale was used. The data then analysed by descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that there was a significant increase in ESE level between pre-implementation and after the implementation. Selected ESE tested had significant increases (on average) were: discussing in English with classmates some topics in which they are interested with a 20% increase; participants' confidence in understanding songs in English was 17%, while the on reading news in English was 17%. The highest increase in ESE level was in understanding English articles about Indonesian culture which has an average increase of 21%. The respondents who believed to have more confidence in their ESE as there was a positive statements impact range between 16-21% increase in the tested ESE level. So, it can be concluded that The implementation of the SMART Adult Learning Strategy to prepare the young generation for the global challenges from the perspective of English ability received a positive response from the participants.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi program pendidikan kecakapan hidup di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Bhina Swakarya, dengan fokus pada pengelolaan limbah kayu, serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan dan kualitas hidup peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan logic model, yang terdiri dari empat komponen utama: input, proses, output, dan outcome. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pendidikan kecakapan hidup di PKBM Bhina Swakarya berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik dalam mengolah limbah kayu, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap mereka terhadap pengelolaan sumber daya lokal. Outcome jangka panjang mencakup peningkatan kualitas hidup, peningkatan pendapatan, dan kontribusi positif terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa pendidikan kecakapan hidup yang terintegrasi dengan pengelolaan lingkungan dan pemberdayaan kreatif dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi peserta didik. Kata Kunci: pendidikan kecakapan hidup, pusat kegiatan belajar masyarakat, pengelolaan limbah kayu, pemberdayaan masyarakat   Environmental Empowerment: Life Skills in Community Learning Centers in Wood Waste Management   Abstract This study aims to explore the implementation of life skills education programs at the Bhina Swakarya Community Learning Center (CLC), with a focus on wood waste management and its impact on improving the skills and quality of life of students. The research method used is a qualitative method with a logic model approach, which consists of four main components: input, process, output, and outcome. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the life skills education program at PKBM Bhina Swakarya has successfully improved the skills of participants in processing wood waste, as well as enhancing their knowledge and attitudes toward the management of local resources. Long-term outcomes include improved quality of life, increased income, and positive contributions to the surrounding community. This study implies that life skills education integrated with environmental management and creative empowerment can provide significant benefits for students. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing metacognitive learning on improving students' critical thinking skills in the Identification of Learning Needs course in the Non-Formal Education Study Program, University of Bengkulu. The study used a quasi-experimental method with two groups, namely the experimental group that received metacognitive learning treatment and the control group that used conventional learning. The research subjects consisted of 60 fifth-semester students, with 30 students in each group. Data were collected through a critical thinking ability test that covered aspects of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. The results showed that metacognitive learning had a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills. The average critical thinking ability score of the experimental group (81.7) was higher than that of the control group (64.5) by 17.2 points. The self-regulation aspect experienced the highest increase, indicating that awareness and control of the thinking process are key to successful learning. Thus, the integration of metacognitive strategies is important to implement in learning design in higher education to foster independence, reflection, and higher-order thinking skills that support lifelong learning.    Keywords: Metacognitive Learning, Critical Thinking, Students, Non-Formal Education, Identification of Learning Needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the extent of the influence of Operating Cash Flow, Net Profit Margin, and Inventory Turnover on Stock Returns atPT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk for the period 2015-2024. The method used in this study is quantitative, employing financial statement data. The analytical method applied include descriptive tests, classical assumption tests, linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that Operating Cash Flow has no significant effect (t-count -0.925<t-table 2.447) with a significance of (0.391>0.05). The test results from Net Profit Margin has no significance effect (t-count 0.464<t-tabel 2.447) with a significance of (0.659>0.05). The test result for Inventory Turnover has no significance effect (t-count 1.245<t-tabel 2.447) with a significance of (0.260>0.05). Simultaneously, Operating Cash Flow, Net Profit Margin, Inventoy Turnover on Stock Returns (f-count 0.628<f-table 4.5757 with a significance (0.623>0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to develop a local wisdom–based children’s storybook entitled Bujang Awang Tabuang to enhance the creativity of Group B early childhood learners. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects involved 18 children in Group B. The validation results indicated that the storybook was categorized as highly feasible, with material expert validation reaching 85%, media expert validation 90%, and teacher evaluation 87%. The results of the limited field trial demonstrated an effectiveness rate of 89%. The novelty of this study lies in the systematic integration of Bengkulu local wisdom into the narrative structure, illustrations, and creativity-based pedagogical activities of the children’s storybook, which was empirically tested using early childhood creativity indicators. The findings confirm that local wisdom–based storybooks function not only as cultural literacy media but also as an effective strategy for creating contextual learning and stimulating creativity in early childhood education.
