Abstract

Education plays an important role in determining the progress of a nation. However, in Indonesia, the quality of education still faces quite complex challenges. Some of the main problems that arise in the education sector include the low professionalism of some teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure to support learning, and minimal involvement of related parties in supporting the education process as a whole. This study aims to examine the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) as one of the strategic approaches in efforts to improve the quality of education, especially at the elementary school level. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, and relies on literature studies and case studies related to elementary education. Data were analyzed through data reduction analysis techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Researchers identified patterns, themes, and relationships between the implementation of SBM and improving the quality of education in various previous studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of School-Based Management is able to increase the effectiveness of education management by involving all elements in the school environment. Principals, teachers, students, parents, school committees, and the community actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the program. The collaboration formed through this approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility and creates a democratic learning atmosphere. Thus, MBS has proven to be able to strengthen school independence, encourage increased institutional capacity, and create a higher quality learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil desain modul analisis pembelajaran kelas II Kurikulum Merdeka. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data utama yang dijelaskan adalah komponen isi modul pengajaran kurikulum mandiri kelas II siswa sekolah dasar. Modul ajar PPKn Kelas II 2021 digunakan sebagai sumber data pembelajaran. Guru masih kurang baik dalam menyusun tujuan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aspek ABCD yang lengkap dan menggunakan kata kerja operasional yang sesuai. Trigger question yang dibuat guru belum mampu menumbuhkan berpikir kritis pada siswa. Modul terbuka yang telah memuat guru memuat kegiatan pembelajaran yang runtut, terperinci dan sistematis. Namun belum ada perkiraan waktu yang jelas untuk setiap titik kegiatan. Modul ajar yang telah disiapkan guru sudah sesuai, terdapat rubrik penilaian kerja bagi siswa, baik penilaian individu, kelompok, penilaian sikap, dan penilaian keterampilan. Namun, belum ada bagian penilaian yang menunjukkan jenis-jenis penilaian penilaian. Remedial dan pengayaan tidak sesuai dengan program remedial dan pengayaan karena tidak mencantumkan langkah-langkah program seperti mengidentifikasi masalah, menyusun rencana sesuai masalah, melaksanakan remedial dan pengayaan, melaksanakan nilai, dan menentukan nilai akhir. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun modul pengajaran.

Abstract

The issue faced by students studying in international schools is their proficiency in the Indonesian language and their knowledge about Indonesia. This is due to the students predominantly using English as the medium of instruction both inside and outside the classroom. In light of this, the purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the Indonesian language proficiency and national insight of 5th grade students in an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum-based international school. The method used for this research is qualitative descriptive. This study provides an overview of the mastery of the Indonesian language through the teaching of the Indonesian language and national insight through the teaching of Pancasila and Civics Education (PPKn). The results of this research indicate that the Indonesian language proficiency and national insight of 5th-grade students in IB international schools still need improvement. However, the average results of the students' national insight increased from 60 to 76 after the learning process. Language proficiency and national insight are crucial in shaping the identity of students, especially for Indonesian learners. This is also important for foreign students as it relates to their current existence and helps them adapt. To address this issue, the school has implemented several policies to improve the Indonesian language proficiency and national insight of their students.

Abstract

21st century education demands the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as an essential component in teacher professional competence to create effective and relevant learning. This background encourages the importance of examining the extent to which teachers are able to optimize technology in their teaching practices. This study focuses on describing and analyzing the level of optimization of ICT utilization within the framework of teacher professional competence at SD Negeri 1 Karanganom, North Klaten. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study carried out several important stages, namely collecting primary data through participatory observation in class, in-depth interviews, and distributing structured questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed thematically to identify patterns of ICT mastery and implementation. The main findings show that teachers have mastered ICT at a good level, as evidenced by their ability to operate computers, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, to editing images and videos. Significantly, they are able to create interactive materials and questions using applications such as Canva, CapCut, Kahoot, Liveworksheets, and Quizizz. The main conclusion is that this ICT optimization effectively supports a more innovative, interactive, and enjoyable learning process, while at the same time confirming the fulfillment of teacher professional competence according to the demands of the digital era. ABSTRAKPendidikan abad ke-21 menuntut integrasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) sebagai komponen esensial dalam kompetensi profesional guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan relevan. Latar belakang ini mendorong pentingnya meneliti sejauh mana guru mampu mengoptimalkan teknologi dalam praktik mengajar mereka. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tingkat optimalisasi pemanfaatan TIK dalam kerangka kompetensi profesional para guru di SD Negeri 1 Karanganom, Klaten Utara. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melaksanakan beberapa tahapan penting, yaitu pengumpulan data primer melalui observasi partisipatif di kelas, wawancara mendalam, serta penyebaran kuesioner terstruktur. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola penguasaan dan implementasi TIK. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa guru telah menguasai TIK pada tingkat yang baik, terbukti dari kemampuan mengoperasikan komputer, Microsoft Word, dan PowerPoint, hingga mengedit gambar dan video. Secara signifikan, mereka mampu menciptakan materi dan soal interaktif menggunakan aplikasi seperti Canva, CapCut, Kahoot, Liveworksheets, dan Quizizz. Simpulan utamanya adalah optimalisasi TIK ini secara efektif mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan, sekaligus menegaskan terpenuhinya kompetensi profesional guru sesuai tuntutan era digital.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement in mathematics learning outcomes of grade 1 students of SD Negeri 2 Prambanan with the CRT approach. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, seen from the learning outcomes of students who were still below the KKTP as many as 73.5% of students. This is due to the lack of teacher innovation in implementing learning so that students find it difficult to understand the learning material. The type of research used was classroom action research with the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model. This research model consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were all grade 1A students of SD N 2 Prambanan consisting of 28 students with details of 15 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques used observation sheets, measurement of learning test results, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis with a percentage. The results in this study showed an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle. The learning outcomes of students who had completed cycle 1 were 19 students with a percentage of 67.8%. In cycle 2, there were 25 students who had completed it with a percentage of 89.2%. The results revealed a significant increase in student learning outcomes in mathematics on the material of recognizing geometric shapes through the CRT approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh guru di SD Negeri 2 Karangan dalam mendukung peserta didik dengan latar belakang sosial ekonomi yang beragam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yang melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta didik berasal dari keluarga dengan status sosial ekonomi menengah ke bawah berpenghasilan rata-rata Rp500.000 – Rp1.999.999, yang berdampak pada keterbatasan fasilitas belajar di rumah. Strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru mencakup bimbingan tambahan baca tulis, pemanfaatan teknologi seperti Smart TV untuk pembelajaran interaktif, pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan sekitar. Guru juga memberikan materi yang dapat diakses secara merata oleh seluruh peserta didik, baik melalui fotokopi materi maupun bimbingan setelah jam sekolah. Melalui strategi-strategi tersebut, sekolah berupaya meminimalkan kesenjangan fasilitas belajar dan memberikan kesempatan yang sama bagi seluruh peserta didik untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal, meskipun dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi yang beragam. Diharapkan pendekatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemerataan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dengan latar belakang sosial ekonomi yang beragam.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: (1) To describe efforts to improve students' critical thinking and collaborative skills in the science subject at grade V SD Kanisius Kalasan in the even semester academic year 2020/2021; (2) To improve the students’ critical thinking skills through STAD-type cooperative learning model; (3) To improve the collaboration ability of grade V students through STAD-type cooperative learning model in science subject, especially the material of the object’s shape changes. This research was a Classroom Action Research, conducting in two cycles following the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and tests. Then, the data were analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed: (1) the efforts to improve students' critical thinking and collaboration, (2) STAD-type cooperative learning model improved students' critical thinking skills; the mean score of the students’ critical thinking in the pre-cycle was 68.80; the score in cycle I was 76; and it increased to 79.36 in cycle II, (3) STAD-type cooperative learning model improved students' collaboration skills; the mean score in pre-cycle was 69.36; it increased to 84.46 in cycle I and increased to 86.25 in cycle II.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve creative thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes by implementing problem-based learning model. This research was motivated by the low creative thinking and learning outcomes of the fifth grade elementary school students. Data on creative thinking and learning outcomes in this Classroom Action Research were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The subjectsof this study were 46 students of grade V. This research was carried out in two cycles with the research procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that problem-based learning model improved the students’ creative thinking and learning outcomes for social studies material at grade V elementary school. This was showed in the increase of the creative thinking variable with an average initial condition value of 36.83 (creative enough), the first cycle of 43.04 (creative enough) and the second cycle of 45.07 (creative). The variable of students’ learning outcomes in the initial data showed an average value of 68.09, the first cycle was 70.33, and the second cycle was 78.59.
