Abstract

Pendidikan multikultur yang selama ini marak menjadi wacana dikalanganpara pemerhati pendidikan sebagai salah satu solusi terhadap kebinekaanIndonesia. Melalui penerapan pendidikan multikultur diharapkan adanyakekenyalan dan kelenturan mental bangsa menghadapi benturan konflik sosial,sehingga persatuan bangsa tidak mudah patah dan retak. Selain itu, melaluipendidikan multicultural pulalah diharapkan masyarakat dapat melihat perbedaandari sudut pandang yang berbeda. Perbedaan bukan sebagai sesuatu yang anehapalagi salah, melainkan sebagai kekuatan yang dapat menambah kekayaan dankeberagaman bangsa. Untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang memiliki jiwamulticultural maka diperlukan strategi-strategi pembelajaran yang dapatmenunjang dan mengembangkan aspek-aspek dalam pendidikan multikultur,Dalam hal inilah Teknologi pendidikan sebagai bidang ilmu dapat memberikankontribusi besar pada pengembangan pendidikan multicultural di Indonesiamelalui kajian-kajian dan tawaran strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk dapatmenerapkan pendidikan multicultural di Indonesia.

Abstract

DEVELOPING LEARNING MULTIMEDIA BASED SCIENTIFIC APPROACH INTEGRATED WITH CHARACTER VALUES FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S STUDENTS IN YOGYAKARTA  This study was aimed at developing a learning multimedia based scientific approach integrated with character values for elementary students’ in Yogyakarta. The approach usedin this study was Research and Development (R D) which was adopted from development model of Borg and Gall. Subjects consisted of teachers and students at first grade in elementary school of Yogyakarta. Data was collected using questionnaire, observation, and documentation study, supported with focus group discussion (FGD) and also logbook.Data was analysed using through descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results were including: (1) Based on preliminary research it can be found that character education has not been implemented effectively; (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) indicates that the integration of character education into subject matters is  significant and  a must; and (3) A prototipe of learning multimedia was developed and produced; and the multimedia had been validated by experts (media and material).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about: 1) How Mathsubject for the eleventh grade science class is taught using contextuallearning approach; and 2) Whether contextual learning approach canimprove student’s motivation in learning the subject.This is an action research using several learning methods suchas group discussion and presentation. The data is gathered fromobservation, interview, questionnaire, test and documentation.From this research we find that contextual learning can beapplied for the eleventh grade science class using the seven componentof contextual learning approach: constructivism (Constructivism), ask(Questioning), find (Inquiry), community learning (LearningCommunity), modeling (modeling), reflection (Reflection) andassessment of the actual (Authentic Assessment). The research showsimprovement in student’s learning motivation – the improvement afterthe first cycle is categorized as medium and after the second cycle ishigh, in which all students’ test result is satisfactory. From thisresearch, we conclude that contextual learning approach, whenimplemented correctly, can improve students’ motivation in learningmath subject.

Abstract

This research aims at developing learning multimedia which can be used to effectively stimulate multiple intelligence specially verbal linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, and spatial intelligence in early childhood.The subjects of the research are children between 3 to 5 years old. This research is conducted in “Warna Warni” Childhood Nursery and Education Centre using research and development. The development is done within several steps: (1) pre study, (2) development process, (3) field testing, and (4) socialization. Pre study consists of literature and field studies. The development process includes purpose analysis, ability analysis, multimedia design development, material and media expert validation. Field experiment comprises preliminary field testing, main field testing, operational field testing. The instruments used in this research include evaluation observation sheet and interview guidelines.The research and development findings show that generally all aspects in developed learning multimedia are considered satisfactory. This judgement can be seen either from complement observation or evaluation results which cover material, learning strategy and technical qualities. The observation result in terms of material quality yields a mean of 4.50; learning strategy 4.40; and technical quality 4.14. The mean score of complement evaluation result in terms of material quality is 4.46; learning strategy 4.40; and teaching strategy 4.50. All these means fall in a very good criterion. Based on these means, the developed learning multimedia in this research can be used to stimulate multiple intelligence in early childhood.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis modal sosial yang dikembangkan guru di sekolah bermutu di Yogyakarta dan (2) memberikan gambaran kepada warga sekolah, khususnya guru agar memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembangkan modal sosial di sekolah, dan dapat menggunakan modal sosial tersebut untuk peningkatan mutu sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru-guru sekolah menengah atas di SMA Negeri 1, SMA Negeri 3, dan SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi yang didukung Focus Group Discussion (FGD) serta buku catatan lapangan/logbook. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial yang paling dominan dan banyak digunakan oleh guru di sekolah dengan mutu tinggi adalah mutual trust dan norma/tata tertib. Selain itu guru telah membangun dan mengembangkan networking yang produktif di antara semua warga sekolah. Kata kunci: pemanfaatan modal sosial, peningkatan mutu, guru sekolah menengah atas SOCIAL CAPITAL DEVELOPED BY THE REPUTABLE SCHOOLS’ TEACHERS IN YOGYAKARTA AbstractThis study was aimed at (1) analyzing the social capital developed by the reputable schools’ teachers in Yogyakarta, (2) providing an overview to school community, especially the teachers, in order to develop their social capital in the school, as well as be able to utilize the social capital for improving schools quality. This research used research and development (RD) approach. The subjects of this research were senior high schools teachers in SMAN 1, SMAN 3, and SMAN 8 Yogyakarta. The data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews and document study, supported by focus group discussion (FGD) and field-note/logbook. Then the data were analyzed qualitatively. The findings show that the most dominant social capital widely used by teachers in reputable schools is mutual trust and norms/ rules. In addition, teachers also have already built and developed productive networks between all communities in their schools. Keywords: utilization of social capital, quality improvement, teachers in reputable senior high school

Abstract

This study is about multicultural education and religious tolerance in the midst of increasing religious intolerance in the educational environment. This study  analyses elementary school teachers’ understanding of multicultural education and its implementation. The research method is a case study in the city of Yogyakarta, chosen because it is both know as a city of education and because this city has declared it a tolerant city. The results showed that the understanding of elementary school teachers’ multicultural education is generally essentialist, but some were constructivist or anti-essentialist.  The attitudes and actions of elementary school teachers, both consciously and unconsciously, may also include religious intolerance. One of the factors that distinguishes the content of religious tolerance and intolerance among elementary school teachers is their attitudes and actions towards local cultural principles. The higher the appreciation of local culture, the greater amount of religious tolerance. Further, when appreciation of local cultural traditions is low, it is more likely that a teacher is intolerant of other religions.  [Tulisan ini membahas pendidikan multikultural dan toleransi beragama ditengah meningkatnya intoleransi di lingkungan pendidikan. Fokus tulisan ini adalah pemahaman guru sekolah dasar mengenai pendidikan multikultural dan implementasinya dengan studi kasus di kota Yogyakarta, karena kota ini adalah kota pendidikan dan mendeklarasikan sebagai kota toleran. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru sekolah dasar mengenai pendidikan multikultur cenderung esensialis, tapi beberapa yang lain anti esensialis atau konstruktif. Sikap dan perilaku mereka baik sadar atau tidak sadar, mengandung kecenderungan intoleransi. Salah satu faktor yang membedakan muatan toleransi dan intoleransi diantara guru tersebut adalah sikap dan perilaku pada prinsip budaya lokal. Apresiasi tinggi pada budaya lokal adalah terbesar dalam toleransi beragama. Lebih lanjut, jika apresiasi pada tradisi lokal rendah, ini berarti guru tersebut cenderung intoleran pada agama lain.]

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan implementasi metode pembelajaran ular tangga berkelompok sebagai salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar IPS materi Pluralisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan tingkah laku, tanggapan, tindakan individu dan kelompok dalam bentuk kata-kata dan bahasa, secara alamiah (natural). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII F MTs Negeri Kota Batu. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dimana semua data yang diperoleh akan dikelompokkan untuk selanjutkan direduksi dan disajikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran ular tangga berkelompok dapat : 1) memotivasi dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran; 2)  melatih keterampilan siswa dalam komunikasi, kolaborasi dan berfikir kreatif; 3) memunculkan kreativitas melalui kegiatan saling berbagi, bertukar pikiran dan mendapatkan manfaat dari berbagai ide; 4) digunakan dalam berbagai mata pelajaran dengan melakukan modifikasi dan penyesuaian pada karakteristik siswa dan karakteristik kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengembangkan multimedia interaktif pendidikan anti korupsi untuk menanamkan nilai kejujuran dan kesederhanaan pada siswa sekolah dasar di Yogyakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam keseluruhan penelitianini adalah Research and Developmet (R & D). Subjek penelitian adalah para siswa sekolah dasar di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan angket, observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, yang didukung focus group discussion (FGD) serta bukucatatan lapangan/logbook sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dankualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru membutuhkan alternative pembelajaran yang dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai integritas pada siswa dan multimedia pembelajaran anti korupsi yang dikembangkan melalui dua tahap pengembangan (Pengembangan media dan pengembangan materi) dan telah divalidasi ini dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran untuk menanamkan nilai integritas, khususnya kejujuran dan kesederhanaan.

Abstract

The evaluation of technology-based learning media is crucial in modern education to ensure its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes and addressing various challenges. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of information technology-based learning media in Class VI of SD Negeri 07 Angkasa using the ASSURE model. A case study approach was employed, involving 1 teacher and 10 sixth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the teacher used PowerPoint, Word Wall, and Quizizz Paper Mode, resulting in a 50% increase in student engagement and a 21.43% improvement in student performance. Key factors supporting the use of technology-based learning media included school facilities such as modems, WiFi cards, projectors, laptops, and speakers, as well as teachers' personal smartphones. However, challenges included limited internet access and unstable electricity. Solutions such as using offline technology, portable hotspots, backup power sources, and devices with sufficient battery life were suggested. The integration of information technology-based learning media showed positive effects on student engagement and performance. However, infrastructure limitations, curriculum alignment, and time management issues need to be addressed to optimize its use. This study concludes that the application of information technology-based learning media using the ASSURE model positively impacts student learning processes and outcomes. Overcoming infrastructural and logistical challenges is necessary to enhance its effectiveness in classrooms.

Abstract

In the digital era, the use of digital learning media is increasingly popular among educators. The use of this media makes the trend of research on the use of digital learning media is increasing, including the use of Augmented reality which facilitates learning to be more real. This study aims to present data on the significance of bibliometric trends on Augmented reality as a learning media in elementary schools. The research method uses bibliometric analysis. Data analysis was carried out with the help of the VOSviewer application and biblioshiny with a total of 195 pieces of literature processed from the Scopus database from 2006-2024. The research results show that there was a significant increase in 2017 with 8 publications to a peak in 2020 with 24 publications but there was a decline again in 2021 with 15 publications. In 2021, the research discussion on this trend has decreased due to the fact that learning is no longer carried out by distance learning. Indonesia has contributed to this research although it is not dominant. Indonesia is one of the countries that has contributed research publications on this topic. China is the country with the most research citations. However, Indonesia should be more productive in writing on this topic, in order to make this trend increase.
