Abstract

The Revolutionary Era of Industry 5.0 brings significant impacts on human life, especially in the field of education (Oktarina et al., 2021; Razak et al., 2021). Education is crucial for individuals from childhood to adulthood (Yulius et al., 2022; Dahlan & Arini, 2022). In this era, technology is widely utilized to support various aspects of work (Mood & Mahayukti, 2013; Fradila et al., 2021; Misra, 2012). Education serves as a fundamental platform for shaping character and intellectual development. With continuous technological advancements, education faces challenges in adapting to these changes. The integration of technology in learning has created new opportunities for delivering engaging, interactive, and effective learning materials. One recent innovation is the Smart Classroom, which merges advanced digital learning technology with traditional teaching methods. Physical education is an essential component of the education system, aimed at promoting health, fitness, and physical skills. It also plays a role in developing a healthy lifestyle, social interaction, and awareness of physical well-being. The use of digital media enhances the learning process in physical education by increasing students’ interest and talent. In Indonesia, traditional teaching methods like lectures dominate physical education, which are often considered uninteresting. Introducing innovative learning methods and media, such as e-modules and digital platforms like Google Sites, can significantly improve the quality of physical education. This study focuses on developing a Google Sites-based e-module for 4th-grade students at SDIT Ash-Shiddiiqi Jambi City, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the Smart Classroom program and increase student engagement and understanding in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK).

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based Smart Point application as an innovation in the aerobic gymnastics scoring system, specifically for PPLP aerobic gymnastics. The background of this research is the judging process that is still done manually using assessment paper, so it is prone to errors and is inefficient and makes it easier to conduct control tests on PPLP athletes before the competition. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model consisting of ten stages of development, from analysis to product implementation. The research subjects involved aerobic gymnastics judges, media experts, and material experts. The research instrument used a validation questionnaire and a Likert-based trial. The results showed that the assessment application called Smart Point has a high level of feasibility with validation from material experts 95.50%, media experts 93%, and language experts 94.25%. User trials showed that this application is practical, efficient, and able to speed up the score recapitulation process by up to 50%. The Smart Point application is considered effective in increasing the objectivity and efficiency of assessment in aerobic gymnastics competitions.

Abstract

This research was motivated by observations during the School Field Practice or Praktik Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) at SMP Negeri 10 Jambi City, which indicated that students had not yet fully understood or mastered the freestyle swimming technique. This study aimed to determine the relationship between swimming knowledge and freestyle swimming skills among eighth-grade students. this research employed A quantitative method with a correlational approach was employed. Data were collected through a questionnaire to measure knowledge and direct observation to assess skills. The research sample consisted of 50 students from classes 8D and 8E, selected using simple random sampling. The results showed that the majority of students' knowledge of freestyle swimming was in the good (54%) and very good (32%) categories. In contrast, their swimming skills were more varied: 34% were in the very good category, 28% good, 22% poor, and 16% very poor. The Pearson correlation test yielded a value of r = 0.184, which is categorized as very low. This indicates that students with good swimming knowledge do not necessarily possess adequate practical skills. In conclusion, mastering freestyle swimming requires repetitive, directed, and balanced motor practice alongside theoretical understanding. Therefore, swimming instruction should emphasize the integration of cognitive and psychomotor aspects.
