Abstract

Diversification of renewable energy sources is needed to anticipate the depletion of fossil energy sources. One of the renewable energy sources is biodiesel from vegetable oil. This study aims to determine the oil yield of wild plant seeds found on Serangan Island. The method used is the exploration method, namely by going around Serangan Island and then collecting ripe fruit for harvesting the seeds. The fruit is dried and then the dimensions of the fruit and seeds are measured. The oil was extracted from the seeds by the soxhletation method using hexane as a solvent. Oil producing plant species identified. The results showed that there were 10 types of plants with very varied fruit and seed sizes. The oil yields from highest to lowest respectively were as follows: Terminalia catappa 29.3%, Dialium indum, 28.2%, Cesalphinia pulcherima 27.7%, Bauhinia purpurea L 26.5%, Leucaena leucocephala 16.3%, Caesalpinia bonducella 15.7%, Riccinus communis 13.5%, Delonix regia 11.3%, Manilkara kauki 11.2%, and Mimusops eleng 11%.

Abstract

Kelompok Wanita Tani merupakansalah satu wadah pengerak ekonomi keluarga karena hal tersebut perlu diberdayakan potensi yang dimilikinya. Salah satu upaya pemberdayaannya dalam usaha pemenuhan gizi keluarga dan menambah perekonomian keluarga adalah dengan budidaya sayuran secara hidroponik. Budidaya sayuran dengan Sistem Wick merupakan salah satu alternative dalam budidaya hidroponik yang baik bagi pemula, karena sistem ini mudah dibuat dan memiliki potensi hasil yang maksimal. Penyuluhan dan pelatihan Sistem Wick pada budidaya sayuran hidroponik bagi ibu KWT Sekar Wangi Desa Kekeran Kabupaten Badung telah dilasanakan dengan baik, peserta sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan ini. Diharapkan dari hasil pengabdian ini dapat membuat ibu-ibu KWT Sekar Wangi membudidayakan sayuran Hidroponik dengan Sistem Wick sehinggan dapat memenuhi gizi keluarga dan mengurangi penggunaan botol plastic sehingga dapat menambah perekonomian keluarga.

Abstract

Dayak onions (Eleutherine sp.) are plants that are often found in the Kalimantan region. Dayak onion tubers are plants that contain flavonoid compounds so they have the potential to be developed and used as traditional medicine by the community. The chemical compounds contained in Dayak onions include 15 compounds including flavonoid and naphthaquinone derivatives. Several studies show the extract's activity as anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial. This research aims to find out about the Dayak onion plant which is still very lacking, especially in its development as a raw material for the development of biopharmaceuticals. Until now, the development and use of this plant is very minimal, even though the benefits of this plant have long been felt by local rural communities

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of planting media and comparison of appropriate planting media on the viability and growth of California papaya (Carica papaya L.) seeds. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with one factor comparison of planting media with 5 level of treatments, namely (P0) 12 kg planting media soil with no sand, treatment (P1) planting media of 12 kg of sand with no soil, treatment (P2) planting media of 6 kg of soil and 6 kg of sand, treatment (P3) planting media of 8 kg of soil and 4 kg sand, treatment (P4) planting media of 4 kg of soil and 8 kg of sand, and each treatment was repeated 5 times to obtain 25 treatments. Planting media had a significant to very significant effect on the parameters of fresh weight of roots but gave a significant effect on parameters of growth speed, plant height, the number of leaves, fresh weight above the soil, oven-dry weight above the soil, and oven-dry weight of roots. Planting media had very significant effect on the viability of papaya seeds by producing the fastest growing speed in the P3 treatment (10,96 dap). Planting media treatment 8 kg of the soil and 4 kg of sands with composition 2:1 (P3) gave the highest yield of fresh weight above the soil of 16.60 (g), oven-dry weight above the soil of 2.00 (g) and oven-dry weight of roots of 0,70 (g).

Abstract

Sampah rumah tangga merupakan permasalahan yang belum dapat diatasi dengan baik dan benar hingga saat ini. Sampah yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas rumah tangga dapat berupa sampah organik dari sisa-sisa makanan serta sampah anorganik dari sampah plastik. Desa Belumbang yang merupakan desa wisata perlu memperhatikan aspek lingkungan agar tetap terjaga dan lestari. Dengan adanya kegiatan wisata di Desa Belumbang perlu didukung dengan kondisi alam dan lingkungan yang terjaga kebersihannya. Kebersihan di Desa Belumbang dapat terwujud apabila masyarakat dapat menyadari pentingnya mengelola sampah dengan baik yang diawali dengan proses pemilahan secara mandiri. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yakni, metode perencanaan dan observasi, metode penyuluhan, dan metode kuisioner. Responden dalam kegiatan ini terdiri dari 20 orang yang merupakan kader kebersihan desa. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Belumbang yakni adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pemilahan dan pengolahan sampah rumah tangga dari sebelum diberikan edukasi sampai dengan sesudah diberikan edukasi melalui penyuluhan, diskusi, dan demonstrasi kegiatan. Adapun kegiatan diawali dengan seremonial yang mencakup penyerahan bibit cabai dan benih ikan nila dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi penyuluhan, sesi diskusi dan sesi demonstrasi kegiatan. Peningkatan pemahaman pada aspek pengetahuan yakni dari 66.7% menjadi 87.5% dan aspek perilaku dari 50% menjadi 71%. Persentase tersebut menunjukkan antusiasme dan kesadaran masyarakat akan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini sehingga memberikan kebermanfaatan dan nilai tambah dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan desa yang lestari dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving different cow biourine in the hydroponic system on the growth and yield of land kangkung plants to get the right cow biourine administration in the hydroponic system so that the best growth and yield of kale plants is obtained. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RAK). With 6 treatments of giving cow biourine, K1: cow biourine giving 100 ml/1 liter of water, K2: 200 ml/1 liter, K3: 300 ml/1 liter, K4: 400 ml/1 liter, K5: 500 ml/1 liter and K6: 600 ml/1 liter of water. With 4 replications and 24 trials. The conclusion of this study was that the highest yield of land kangkung in a hydroponic system was obtained by giving biourine 300 ml/1 liter of water such as the highest plant height (K3 = 45.80 cm), the highest number of leaves (K3 = 15.00 pieces), leaf area (K3=102.25 cm), total wet weight of plants (K3=40.03 g) and oven-dry weight of plants (K3=2.19 g). giving biorine 300 ml/1 liter of water is the right way to get the best yield of land kale in a hydroponic system compared to giving 100 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 200 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 400 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 500 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 600 ml / 1 liter of water.

Abstract

This research is entitled Effect of Planting Media on growth and yield of gumitir ( Tagetes erecta L ). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of growing media on the growth and yield of gumitir plants. This research was carried out from May 25 until August 31, 2022, this study used a randomized block design (RAK) with six treatment levels, namely (M0) 5 kg of soil media, (M1) 2.5kg of soil media and 2.5kg of sand, (M2) 2.5kg of soil media and 2.5kg of wood sawdust, (M3) 2.5kg of soil media and 2.5kg of burnt husk, (M4) 2.5kg of soil media and 2.5kg of cocopeat, (M5) 2.5kg of soil media and 2.5kg of cow manure, and each treatment was repeated 4 times. The results of this study planting media gave a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of branches, plant stem diameter, total flower harvest per plant, total flower fresh weight per plant, total plant fresh weight, total flower oven dry weight on plants, dry weight total plant oven, except for the number of leaves and the age of flowering gave no significant effect. The treatment that gave the best growth and yield on a mixed planting medium of soil and roasted husk (1:1) with the results: the total number of flowers harvested per plant 26.25 pcs, total flower fresh weight per plant 192.57 g, and total flower oven dry weight. per plant 17.72 g

Abstract

Jeruk siam adalah komoditas hortikultura penting dan bernilai ekonomis. Mitra pengabdian masyarakat adalah Kelompok Tani Tegal Sari di Desa Awan, Kecamatan Kintamani, Provinsi Bali yang Bertani jeruk Siam. Mitra memiliki masalah produktivitas rendah pada budidaya buah jeruk Siam akibat serangan penyakit busuk batang (Botryodiplodia theobromae). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan pengetahuan dan mendampingi  mitra desa Awan dalam mengetahui gejala, tanda dan jenis-jenis penyakit diplodia serta memberikan upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit busuk batang pada tanaman jeruk Siam. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra desa Awan terhadap gejala, tanda dan jenis-jenis penyakit diplodia serta memberikan upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit busuk batang pada tanaman jeruk Siam. Juga, mitra dapat menambah peralatan pengendalian penyakit untuk pertanian jeruk Siam. Siamese orange is an important horticultural commodity and has economic value. The community service partner was the Tegal Sari Farmers Group in Awan Village, Kintamani District, Bali Province. Mitra has a problem of low productivity in Siam citrus fruit cultivation due to stem rot disease (Botryodiplodia theobromae). This community service activity aims to introduce knowledge and assist Awan village partners in knowing the symptoms, signs and types of diplodia disease and provide efforts to prevent and control stem rot disease in Siam citrus plants. The results of the community service activities showed an increase in the knowledge of Awan village partners regarding the symptoms, signs and types of diplodia disease and provided efforts to prevent and control stem rot disease in Siam citrus plants. Also, partners can add disease control equipment to Siam citrus farms.

Abstract

Brassica rapa L or commonly called mustard pakcoy is one of the most popular types of vegetables in Indonesia, because mustard pakcoy is one of the varieties that contain various health benefits. This study aims to determine "The Influence of Nutrient Soluble Media Sources on Hydroponic Technology on The Growth and Yields of Pakcoy Plants (Brassica rapa L)". The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 treatments of hydroponic nutrient solvent media. Treatment P1 (30 ltr AC water and 330 ml AB mix), P2 (30 ltr PDAM water and 330 ml AB mix), P3 (30 ltr well water and 330 ml AB mix), P4 (30 ltr irrigation water and 330 ml AB mix and P5 (30 liters of River Water and 330 ml of AB mix).The results showed that treatment P2 (30 liters of PDAM water and 330 ml of AB mix) gave the best growth and yields on the parameters of plant height (cm) and number of leaves (sheet). Meanwhile, the P1 treatment gave the best growth and yield on the parameters of leaf area (cm2), total plant fresh weight (g) and total plant oven dry weight (g).

Abstract

Red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is a plant that has high economic value compared to several other types of spinach. This can be seen from the high demand for this vegetable in several supermarkets, hotels and restaurants. Based on the climatological aspect, the Indonesian region is very suitable for red spinach cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type of planting media on the growth and yield of red spinach plants and to determine which plant media provided the best growth and yield of red spinach plants. This study used randomized block design (RBD) research method using various kinds of organic fertilizers, namely goat manure with 6 levels K0 (without fertilizer), K1 (10 g goat manure/10 kg of soil), K2 (20 g goat manure)/10 kg of soil), K3 (30 g of goat manure/10 kg of soil), K4 (40 g of goat manure/10 kg of soil), and K5 (50 g of goat manure/10 kg of soil). Plant height, number of leaves, root length, leaf area, total fresh weight of plants, total dry weight of plants The results of goat manure application had a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root length, total fresh weight of plants, weight total crop oven dry The application of goat manure 8 to / ha and 10 / ha gave the best results on total plant fresh weight of 22.17 g and 26.245 g total crop oven dry weight of 4.322 g and 5.342 g
