Abstract

ABSTRACT The mining industry adds the country’s income and engage employment. In contrast, it also prones to environmental destruction. Many mining activities that invite the spotlight of the surrounding community due to environmental destruction, endanger the safety of the lives of miners, trigger natural disasters and also socio-economic problems. To reduce the number of sand miners, especially in Belotan village, Magetan, this partnership program was created with the aim of providing knowledge to the community about the importance of maintaining river ecosystems and the potential benefit from river ecosystems. The method used in this activity is a survey, giving an extension questionnaire about the importance of maintaining river ecosystems, monitoring and evaluation. Based on this program,it can be concluded that there was improvement of societies understanding related to: 1)the impact of illegal of sand mining and 2) how to exploit river properly. It is proven by more than 60 % respondents agree with the usefulness of the material that has been presented and get new information about river potential in village area ABSTRAK Industri pertambangan selain mendatangkan devisa dan menyedot lapangan kerja juga rawan terhadap pengrusakan lingkungan. Banyak kegiatan penambangan yang mengundang sorotan masyarakat sekitarnya karena pengrusakan lingkungan, membahayakan keselamatan jiwa penambang, memicu terjadinya bencana alam dan juga masalah sosial ekonomi. Untuk mengurangi jumlah penambang pasir khususnya di desa Belotan, Magetan maka program kemitraan ini dibuat dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga ekosistem sungai dan potensi pemanfaatan ekosistem sungai yang baik dan benar. Metode yang dipakai dalam kegiatan ini adalah survey, pemberian kuisioner penyuluhan tentang pentingnya menjaga ekosistem sungai, monitoring dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan mengenai pemahaman masyarakat mengenai dampak penambangan pasir secara ilegal dan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan sungai dengan baik dan benar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan lebih dari 60% responden setuju dan mengetahui tentang kebermanfaatan materi yang disajikan dengan mendapatkan pengetahuan baru tentang potensi sungai di area desa.

Abstract

Buluharjo Village, Magetan Regency is a rural area, the majority of which are horticultural crops. Shallots are one of the commodities in the region. The productivity of shallots for the last three years has decreased due to the reduction in agricultural land caused by the construction of housing projects. The decline in shallot production is caused by the lack of land and the presence of plant pests such as worms, caterpillars, fungi and bacteria. The use of high chemical fertilizers, improper selection of seeds makes the quantity and quality of shallot production not optimal. The purpose of the activity is to provide training on red onion cultivation with verticulture techniques as a solution for using narrow land. The method used is pre survey, survey, socialization and training. The activity was carried out for 6 months. The result of the activity is an increase in understanding of modern agricultural techniques, namely verticulture in the field of red onion farming. Public understanding of modern agricultural systems, and increasing the productivity of shallots. The community is very enthusiastic and actively involved in applying vertical culture techniques. The community can apply the shallot verticulture technique on narrow land.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to establish the effect of inoculum concentration and incubation time of protease activity on pigeon pea beans fermented by Aspergillus niger. The study comprises two independent variables: the inoculum concentration of Aspergillus niger, which consists of four levels (0 mL/g; 0.2 mL/g; 0.4 mL/g, and 0.6 mL/g), and six levels of incubation time (0 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h, 96 h, and 120 h). The obtained data were tested using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by an LSD test with a significance level of 5%. The results show that the inoculum concentration of Aspergillus niger and incubation time do affect the activity of the protease enzyme. The highest enzyme activity of 0.298 U/ml was obtained at an inoculum concentration of Aspergillus niger of 0.4 mL/g, with an incubation time of 96 h (P2K4).

Abstract

During the covid 19 pandemic, PGRI Madiun University has carried out community service programs through assistance in handling Covid-19 and online and offline Literacy & Numeracy assistance in Jiwan and Pilangkenceng sub-districts, Madiun district. The service's flagship work programs are Reading Corner, Introduction to E-learning, Classroom learning assistance, Home visits, Making learning videos, Education on health protocols, Making hand sanitizers using local materials, and Making simple Faceshields. The results of the activities show the success of abdimas. The Home visit work program has been well received by the parents of the students. The home visit program is carried out to assist students and parents independently at home so that they can overcome the learning crisis of students. The reading corner fosters student interest in reading, namely: as a facilitator for reading, as the closest reading material, comfortable, and attracts attention. The introduction of e-learning (google meet, zoom meeting, making digital presences, making questions via google forms and so on) has not been fully accepted quickly by students and teachers because of device constraints that do not support, many senior teachers are lacking in technology adaptation. Assistance in this class is guided by the tutor teacher. The civil servant teacher provides positive inputs to students and is assisted in overcoming all conditions encountered in the field. Making Learning Videos makes it easier for teachers and providing a teaching database made by students with the guidance of the tutor teacher to be uploaded on YouTube so that it can be accessed easily by students. Education on the application of health protocols carried out by socializing and providing posters related to health protocols, hand washing procedures and so on has increased student and community awareness in taking care of themselves, their families and the environment during the pandemic. The manufacture of hand sanitizers from local materials focuses on education, socialization, and providing trainings to provide antiseptics independently by using the main ingredients that are around them and additional materials that are abundantly available. The manufacture of a simple faceshield is carried out for the provision or manufacture of a faceshield as a repair tool from used 1.5-2L drinking bottles which are clear in color so that it is easier and cheaper.

Abstract

Professional Learning Community (PLC) in lesson study (LS) is a development ofteacher professionalism which is very important to support the learning process of the 21century. The research aims to develop a practical instrument to be used to measure affectivity and achievement of PLC-LS from a group of teachers during lesson study activity. This research was carried out of two-step validity content process namely, development and evaluation. Thefirst step was done by determining the indicator and descriptor. The second step was done through obtaining feedback from the expert related to the developed instrument. This research produced an instrument with six indicators outlined in 46 questions related to PLC namely, six reflective questions, seven collaborative questions, seven learning outcome questions, nine share value and vision questions, eight collective responsibility questions, and nine development effective leadership questions which have been validating to be implemented. Based on the CV1 analysis, there are 7 items that show below 0,6 score which is then being left out while 11 others with the score more than 0,6 were revised according to experts’ recommendations. The result ofCVR is 0.82 which shows that the instrument of PLC-LS is valid and can be used.

Abstract

Background: Literasi merupakan hal mendasar yang harus dimiliki peserta didik agar dapat menghadapi tantangan di era globalisasi. Budaya literasi ini perlu di terapkan sejak dini di berbagai lingkungan baik itu keluraga, masyarakat maupun di sekolah. Salah satu literasi yang dapat dikembangkan di level sekolah khususnya sekolah dasar adalah literasi sains. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan dan kemampuan literasi saina peserta didik di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun.melalui pelatihan pembuatan herbarium. Metode: Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah SDN pajaran, kabupaten Madiun. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahapan observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pembelajaran dan evaluasi program. Hasil: Pelaksanaan kegiatan peduli lingkungan dengan pelatihan pembuatan herbarium di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik. Adapun temuan-temuan yang diperoleh antara lain peningkatan keaktifan, motivasi, sikap peduli lingkungan, literasi sains, pengalaman pembuatan project dalam model PJBL. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini yaitu pelatihan pembuatan herbarium dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun. Motivasi belajar IPA meningkat 40%, Sikap peduli lingkungan meningkat 20% serta kemampuan literasi sains meningkat 35%.

Abstract

Student learning in rural elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on learning motivation. Learning activities in Purworejo Village, Pilangkenceng, Madiun Regency during the Covid-19 Pandemic experienced obstacles. Learning using information technology cannot run optimally. Many elementary school students lack motivation in reading and arithmetic. The purpose of service activities is to improve student literacy and numeracy through the reading corner program. The target of this service activity is elementary school students in Purworejo Village, Kacan Pilangkenceng, Madiun Regency. The service method is carried out with assistance, including survey activity procedures, socialization, training, learning, and evaluation. The results of the implementation of the "Reading Corner" program activities can increase students' independence by 60%, and increase literacy-numeracy skills by 50%. The activity of the "Reading Corner" program can be followed up as a digital corner program as an effort to develop digital literacy in the village.

Abstract

Genitri plant (Elaeocarpus sphaericus Schum) has a complex chemical compound that has the potential to lower blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study was to analyze in vivo blood sugar levels and changes in tissue structure of the pancreas, testes seminiferous tubules, and sucrose-induced kidneys. The study used an experimental approach, 24 male Mus musculus mice were grouped into 4 treatment groups. Negative control (P0), positive control giving sucrose at a dose of 1.125 mg/g (P1); Sucrose induction treatment was at a dose of 1.125 mg/g and Gintri seed simplicia was at a dose of 1.300 mg/g (P2). Experimental animals before being induced by sucrose were fasted for 2 hours. Sucrose induction was carried out for 5 days, the experimental animals were given food and drink ad libitum. Checking blood sugar levels every 4 hours through the tail vein. Blood sugar levels of experimental animals P2 and P3 were 126 mg/ each followed by administration of a solution of genitri seeds and fruit for 36 days, every 6 days data was collected on blood sugar levels. On the 37th day, dislocation, surgery and organ harvesting of the testes, pancreas and kidneys were carried out, and preparation of HE staining tissue was made. Data analysis using One Way Anova. The results showed that sucrose induction reduced the diameter of the islets of Langerhans, increased the diameter of the seminiferous tubules of the testes, and reduced the diameter of the glomerulus of the kidney. Giving genitri seeds and fruit lowers blood sugar levels, affects the tissue structure of the pancreas, testes, and glomerulus. The F value of the diameter of the pancreatic islets of Langerhans 16,662; testicular seminiferous tubule diameter 13,433; Glomerular diameter 28,958.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSMAN 6 Madiun memiliki area yang luas dan terdapat banyak tanaman yang tumbuh.  Namun tanaman tersebut tidak memiliki informasi yang detail terkait dengan nama ilmiah, ciri umum dan manfaatnya. Selain itu tanaman tersebut juga masih belum dimanfaatkan sebagai pengembangan keilmuan serta literasi digital. Melalui Proyek Kepemimpinan Smart Eco School dengan salah satu program kerjanya yaitu E-Labelling. Program ini bertujuan untuk melatih pembuatan E-labelling kepada siswa kelas X. E-Labelling merupakan label QR code yang berisi informasi terkait tumbuhan yang dapat diakses secara digital. Hasil dari program kerja ini adalah sebanyak 75 tanaman di dalam area sekolah sudah terpasang E-Labelling. Informasi yang ditampilkan adalah nama lokal, nama ilmiah, ciri-ciri, dan manfaat dari tumbuhan tersebut. Hasil pretest terkait kemampuan pemahaman literasi digital adalah 70%, setelah mereka melakukan kegiatan E-Labelling dengan menggunakan barcode maka mendapatkan hasil postest sebesar 90% terdapat peningkatan terkait literasi digital. Kata kunci: e-labelling; literasi digital; tumbuhan. ABSTRACTSMA 6 Madiun has a large area with many plants growing. However, these plants do not have detailed information about their scientific names, general characteristics, and benefits. Moreover, these plants have not been utilized for scientific development and digital literacy. Through the Leadership Project “Smart Eco School”, one of its programs called E-Labelling. This programs aim to train 10th grade students in creating E-labelling. E-Labelling is a QR code label that contains digital information about plants. As a result of this program, 75 plants within the school area have been labeled with E-Labelling. The displayed information includes local names, scientific names, characteristics, and benefits of the plants. The results of the pretest related to the ability to understand digital literacy were 70%, after they carried out e-labelling activities using barcodes, they got posttest results of 90% there is an increase related to digital literacy. Keywords: e-labelling; digital literacy; plan.

Abstract

Pengolahan sampah organik yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 6 Madiun merupakan salah satu bentuk inovasi sebagai pendukung program adiwiyata sekolah dan pengelolaan sampah organik di lingkungan sekitar. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 24 peserta didik kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 6 Madiun dengan waktu kurang lebih selama 6 bulan yang diawali dari persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan prototype eco-enzyme, pelatihan dan pembuatan eco-enzyme, proses fermentasi, pemanenan dan implementasi hasil eco-enzyme. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini peserta didik mampu menguasai teori pembuatan eco-enzyme ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan hasil pre-test dan post-test sebesar 33,3% menjadi 79,16% peserta didik tuntas, hasil implementasi eco-enzyme pada praktikum sederhana perkembangan kangkung juga menunjukkan hasil positif dengan interval rata-rata pertumbuhan kangkung sebesar 0,2cm lebih cepat dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa eco-enzyme serta berjalannya program pendukung adiwiyata di SMP Negeri 6 Madiun.
