Abstract

This study evaluated phytochemical composition, and in vitro and in silico antibacterial activity of Elaeocarpus ganitrus extract. Elaeocarpus ganitrus leaves, seed and fruit powder were extracted with absolute ethanol. Then, the extract was identified phytochemical compounds qualitatively and evaluated the antibacterial activity through in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. Molecular docking was conducted to evaluate the antibacterial mechanism of Elaeocarpus ganitrus extract. Elaeocarpus ganitrus leaves, seeds, and fruits extract presented positive tannin, saponin, cardiac glycoside, quinone, steroids, terpenoids, and anthocyanins. In vitro analysis performed Elaeocarpus ganitrus leaves strong inhibited Staphylococcus aureus growth and medium inhibition against E. coli. structure activity relationship revealed 14 of 72 compounds have high antibacterial activities. molecular docking of 7 compounds showed inhibition activity of D-alanin ligase of Staphylococcus aureus. Those compounds blocked the activity of D-alanine ligase at inhibitor sites of enzyme, and might be disrupted the cell wall synthesis. In conclusion, Elaeocarpus ganitrus contained several phytochemical compounds and has antibacterial activity both in vitro and in silico investigation.

Abstract

The processing of waste and used goods has become vital in environmental conservation efforts. One of the efforts in waste processing is to carry out the recycling process to serve as learning media. The problem discussed in this study is regarding the development of learning media from waste (virus props) to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. The research method used is this type of research in the form of application research using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design to compare the results of the pretest and post-test. The pretest stage is carried out when students have not been given treatment while the posttest stage is carried out when students have been given treatment. The implementation was carried out in two meetings with 71 class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out in research on pre-service PPG students at the University of PGRI Madiun, it was found that the variable Entrepreneurship Education, Self-Efficacy, has a positive and significant effect as the creation of learning media significantly increases the learning outcomes of class X students. This project activity is about how to manage and handling inorganic waste in the school environment, so that it can have an effective value. One of those values ​​is turning it into a learning medium that can assist teachers in providing more efficient learning to students. Abstrak. Pengolahan sampah dan barang bekas telah menjadi hal yang vital dalam usaha pelestarian lingkungan. Salah satu upaya dalam pengolahan sampah adalah dengan melakukan proses daur ulang untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran dari sampah (alat peraga virus) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta  didik SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Jenis penelitian berupa penelitian penerapan menggunakan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan post-test. Tahap pretest dilakukan saat peserta didik belum diberi perlakuan sedangkan tahap posttest dilakukan saat peserta didik telah diberi perlakuan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan pada 71 peserta didik kelas X  SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan dalam penelitian pada mahasiswa ppg prajabatan Universitas PGRI Madiun didapatkan hasil bahwa variable Pendidikan kewirausahaan, Efikasi diri, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebagai pembuatan media pembelajaran signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X. Kegiatan proyek ini adalah tentang bagaimana mengelola dan menangani sampah anorganik di lingkungan sekolah, sehingga bisa memiliki nilai efektif. Salah satu nilai itu adalah mengubahnya menjadi media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih efisien terhadap peserta didik.

Abstract

Background: Literasi merupakan hal mendasar yang harus dimiliki peserta didik agar dapat menghadapi tantangan di era globalisasi. Budaya literasi ini perlu di terapkan sejak dini di berbagai lingkungan baik itu keluraga, masyarakat maupun di sekolah. Salah satu literasi yang dapat dikembangkan di level sekolah khususnya sekolah dasar adalah literasi sains. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan dan kemampuan literasi saina peserta didik di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun.melalui pelatihan pembuatan herbarium. Metode: Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah SDN pajaran, kabupaten Madiun. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahapan observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pembelajaran dan evaluasi program. Hasil: Pelaksanaan kegiatan peduli lingkungan dengan pelatihan pembuatan herbarium di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik. Adapun temuan-temuan yang diperoleh antara lain peningkatan keaktifan, motivasi, sikap peduli lingkungan, literasi sains, pengalaman pembuatan project dalam model PJBL. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini yaitu pelatihan pembuatan herbarium dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik di SDN Pajaran Kabupaten Madiun. Motivasi belajar IPA meningkat 40%, Sikap peduli lingkungan meningkat 20% serta kemampuan literasi sains meningkat 35%.

Abstract

Education is a vital aspect in building a nation, especially in shaping the character and skills of young generations. In Indonesia, the quality of education still faces various challenges, despite continuous efforts to improve it. Effective teaching methods significantly impact students' learning outcomes, one of which is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. This method allows students to work collaboratively in solving problems, helping them not only to understand the material but also to enhance critical thinking and teamwork skills. This research aims to explore the application of the PBL method in teaching diagrams to 5th-grade elementary students and how it can improve their collaborative skills and learning outcomes. The research method used is classroom action research with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted at SDN 02 Demangan, Madiun City, involving two teaching cycles. The results showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with a mastery level of 85.2% in the second cycle. Moreover, students' collaborative abilities also improved, as evidenced by observations and questionnaires conducted during the learning process. In conclusion, the implementation of PBL can enhance both learning outcomes and collaboration skills, especially in diagram-related topics. This method effectively engages students in active learning, which is essential for developing 21st-century skills such as teamwork and critical thinking

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for innovative teaching methods in the education field to increase student enthusiasm during the learning process. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is an improvement in learning outcomes and student activity using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in the teaching process of pictogram material for fourth-grade students at SDN 02 Demangan, Madiun City. Data collection techniques involve tests and observations. The subjects of this research are the fourth-grade students of SDN 02 Demangan, totaling 24 students. The results of this study indicate that there is an improvement in the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 02 Demangan regarding pictogram material using the Problem-Based Learning model. In the first cycle, the average learning outcome of students was 67.08, which increased to an average of 86.25 in the second cycle. The results of the study on student activity in the pictogram material with the Problem-Based Learning model also showed a 17% increase, from 54% in the first cycle to 71% in the second cycle. The results from the first cycle were still in the low category, whereas the second cycle results were in the moderate category. This indicates that the use of the Problem-Based Learning model can enhance student activity in learning. Changes in students can be observed in their enthusiasm for participating in lessons, the interaction between teacher and students, students with students, and students appearing more active in lessons designed by the teacher.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan magang yang dilaksanakan di CV. Bintang Lima Mahardikka, Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam praktik magang ini adalah Observasi, Studi Lapangan, Wawancara dan Studi Pustaka. Adapun yang melatar belakangi lokasi magang dilakukan di CV. Bintang Lima Mahardikka adalah kesesuaian antara perusahaan tersebut dengan usaha mahasiswa yang akan dikembangkan dalam Program Pengembangan Kewirausahaan (PPK). Selain itu, perusahaan tersebut telah berhasil mengadakan berbagai macam event besar di wilayah Madiun Kota yang merupakan lokasi pengembangan usaha mahasiswa. CV. Bintang Lima Mahardikka memiliki manajemen yang sangat baik. Perusahaan tersebut membawahi dua perusahaan lainnya: SatuAtap yang bergerak dalam persewaan peralatan event serta Event Organizer (EO), dan A1 Media yang menangani periklanan seperti percetakan sekaligus pemasangan baliho dan PNTV. Dari praktik magang yang dilakukan selama 33 hari, mahasiswa bersama timnya berhasil membuat beberapa desain untuk klien CV. Bintang Lima Mahardikka dengan panduan divisi desain perusahaan tersebut. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga ambil bagian dalam pengadaan event Bluder Cokro Fest 2018 dan  Madiun Motor Fest 2018. Hingga kegiatan magang berakhir, semua berjalan baik dan lancar dengan kerjasama tim yang baik antara mahasiswa magang dengan tim CV. Bintang Lima Mahardikka.

Abstract

Immunomodulator is an agent to activate and modulate the immune response. It is one of the approaches to prevent chronic disease and maintain homeostasis. Recently,  plant phytochemicals have been developed as prospective immunomodulatory agents. Genitri (Elaeocarpus ganitrus), a local plant cultivated in Indonesia, exhibited various biological properties and potential as an immunomodulatory agent. This study aims to identify the potency of genitri as immunomodulatory agent through leukocyte profiling. Genitri leaf (P1), seed (P2), and fruit (P3) were prepared as powder and administered to male wistar rats weighted 250-300 g twith six replications for 28 days. The total leukocytes were  counted and leukocytes were being  profiled following the treatment with genitri powder then  compared with control treatment (P0). The immunomodulatory activity of genitri was shown by the increased leukocytes count following treatment. Based on data from the treatment group (P2), genitri seeds were able to increase leukocytes by 10595.83 cells/µl. The highest total leukocytes were found in treatment P2 with total leukocytes 10595.83 cells/µl. Based on the leukocyte profile, lymphocytes and monocytes were found to be the highest in all treatments. Treatment with genitri was able to stimulate an increase in lymphocytes and monocytes. An increase in total leukocytes given genitri is an indication of an increased immune response.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the quality of jamu gendong products at the home industry of jamu gendong in Karangrejo village, Magetan Regency. The method of service is carried out by training, including procedures for pre-survey activities, surveys, socialization, training, and evaluation. The target of the service activity is the women of the jamu gendong group. The evaluation results showed an increase in participant understanding of 56% about the technique of selecting rhizomes for herbal medicine, an increase in participant understanding of 44% about equipment selection techniques for herbal medicine, an increase in participant understanding of 72% about the hygienic process of making herbal medicine, an increase in participant understanding of 66% about the hygienic packaging process of herbal medicine. The results of monitoring and evaluation showed that 100% of participants were satisfied in participating in the activities, 100% of participants took an active role in participating in the training, 100% of participants were enthusiastic in participating in the activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to empower the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group by developing the creativity of natural dye batik products in order that they can become the typical batik of Mojorejo Village, Madiun Regency. The method of implementing the service activity is through the stages: 1) observation, 2) counseling, 3) training, and 4) evaluation. The target of service activity is the PKK group. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and an observation rubric. Descriptive data analysis is based on achievement indicators. Based on the questionnaire analysis, it was found that the creativity of the trainees increased by 40%. The motivation of the trainees increased by 70%. The understanding of the training participants about the process of making natural dyed batik increased by 90%. The conclusion of the service activity is that training on making Jumputan batik using natural dyes can increase the creativity of batik production, which is typical of Mojorejo Village, Madiun Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa kelas IV SDN 02 Demangan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pada tahap prasiklus, hanya 62,5% siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM), menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa masih rendah. Melalui dua siklus penerapan PBL, persentase ketuntasan meningkat secara signifikan menjadi 87,5%. Peningkatan ini didukung oleh peningkatan motivasi siswa yang terlihat dari keaktifan mereka dalam berdiskusi, mengemukakan pendapat, dan bekerja dalam kelompok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL efektif dalam melibatkan siswa secara aktif, meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, dan mendorong motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar guru menggunakan PBL dalam pembelajaran, dengan memberikan bimbingan intensif kepada siswa yang memerlukan, serta memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang variatif. Model PBL juga direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan pada mata pelajaran lain guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara menyeluruh.
