Abstract

The low level of visits to the JD.id site indicates the low level of public awareness of JD.id. This study was conducted to see whether the quality of the advertising message and the attractiveness of the advertisement had a direct or indirect effect on the effectiveness of advertising in increasing JD.id's brand awareness. This research focuses on the JD.id advertisement with the version "Free with Cinta Laura". In this research, the writer uses quantitative method, non-probability sampling technique and purposive sampling approach. The research sample was 100 respondents. The collected data is then processed using Path Analysis or Path Analysis. The results of this study are the Quality of Advertising Messages (X1) and Advertising Attractiveness (X2) indirectly affect Brand Awareness (Z) mediated by Advertising Effectiveness (Y). Rendahnya tingkat jumlah kunjungan ke situs JD.id, mengindikasikan rendahnya tingkat kesadaran masyarakat terhadap JD.id. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah kualitas pesan iklan dan daya tarik iklan berpengaruh langsung atau tidak langsung terhadap efektivitas iklan dalam meningkatkan brand awareness JD.id. Penelitian ini fokus pada Iklan JD.id yang versi “Ongkirnya free with Cinta Laura”. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis memakai metode kuantitatif, teknik sampling non-probability sampling dan teknik pendekatan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden. Data yang terkumpul kemudian penulis olah menggunakan Analisis Jalur atau Path Analysis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kualitas Pesan Iklan (X1) dan Daya Tarik Iklan (X2) secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi Brand Awareness (Z) yang dimediasi oleh Efektivitas Iklan (Y).

Abstract

This article reports the integration of a community service to one course of a master’s program in one private university. Eighteen students were involved in the program that was designed to be part of learning the topics of the course. They had to prepare the syllabus, teach English vocabulary to elementary school students who joined one learning community in East Jakarta under the guidance of the lecturer. In addition to teaching, the students had to create modules on English vocabulary learning, and reflective essays on their teaching and module writing experiences. The aims of the integrated community service to learning program were to provide learning experiences that consist of real application of the English language learning and teaching theories that they have received in the classroom, and reflection upon those experiences. It is expected that the experiences will promote social awareness and contribution to providing free education services to those having limited access to private and profit-making learning centers. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of this model of integration.

Abstract

This analysis aims to compare the effectiveness of two Community Service (PkM) activities in increasing high school students' interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The activities compared include line follower robot training and IoT (Internet of Things) light-making training. Both activities were designed to provide practical understanding and hands-on experience for students in the field of technology and engineering. This study used an experimental method by comparing students' perceptions of STEM before and after the training. The results of this analysis show that IoT light training was overall more effective in increasing students' interest in the Electrical Engineering program, with a positive perception increase of 58% in the "fun" category and a reduction in negative perceptions by 53%. Meanwhile, the line follower robot training showed a 37% increase in "fun" perception and a 39% decrease in the "not fun" perception. However, line follower robot training was more successful in improving students' technical understanding and skills, with an 18% reduction in the "difficult" perception and an 18% increase in the "easy" perception. In contrast, IoT light training saw a 4% decrease in the "easy" perception and a 1% increase in the "difficult" perception. This difference indicates that both types of training have their respective strengths in shaping students' interest and skills in STEM fields, and a training program that combines aspects of both approaches might yield more optimal results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of independent character education in Forming a Discussion Culture in Grade VII Students of Bhayangkari Rantau Prapat Middle School. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on an in-depth understanding of events and problems. Data were obtained from interviews with informants, observations and various document documentation data, while data analysis and triangulation were used to ensure the validity of the information collected. The results of this study indicate that independent character in Forming a Discussion Culture in Grade VII Students of Bhayangkari Rantau Prapat Middle School has a significant impact on the formation of a discussion culture in the classroom. Although there are several challenges in the implementation of independent character education, such as students' lack of self-confidence and dependence on teachers, the efforts made by the school have shown positive results. With the right strategies, such as giving assignments that encourage independence, providing positive feedback, and strengthening the role of peers, a productive discussion culture can be formed among students

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of the principal as supervisor in strengthening the effectiveness of administrative services at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The focus of this research covers five main aspects: (1) the role of the principal in supervising school administration, (2) the influence of the principal's supervision on the effectiveness of school financial management, (3) the role of the principal in supervising facilities and infrastructure, (4) development of information systems to increase service effectiveness, as well as (5) challenges faced in implementing supervision of school principals. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is obtained through interviews, observation and documentation analysis. The research results show that school principals play a crucial role in improving administrative effectiveness through strict and consistent supervision. Principal supervision has been proven to be able to increase transparency in financial management, ensure maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, and support the development of a more effective school information system. However, the implementation of supervision still faces various challenges, such as limited resources and resistance from staff. The implications of this research emphasize that principals need to develop better adaptive strategies and supervisory skills to overcome these challenges. In this way, the role of the principal as supervisor can continue to be improved, so that the effectiveness of administrative services at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu becomes more optimal and supports the achievement of overall educational goals.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: The influence of learning communication on understanding Pancasila material to strengthen the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The population in this study were all Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. totaling 283 people. The number of samples taken was 74 students as respondents. This research uses an associative-quantitative approach with a simple linear regression model. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. Research data was processed using SPSS 22.0. The results of the research show that: Learning Communication (X) partially has a positive and significant effect on the understanding of Pancasila material for strengthening the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu.  Based on the calculations, the linear regression coefficient value for the Learning Communication variable (X) is 0.379, with a positive sign at sig 0.001, which is smaller than 0.05, namely 0.001 < 0.05. So, it can be interpreted that Learning Communication (X) has a positive and significant effect on the understanding of Pancasila material for strengthening the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of literacy culture among class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu and its influence on the development of students' civic intelligence. The literacy culture in question includes reading, writing and discussion activities which aim to increase students' insight and skills in understanding social, political and civic issues. This research also identifies factors that support and hinder the implementation of literacy culture in schools, as well as their impact on the development of students' civic intelligence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects included class VII students, teachers, and related parties at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The data obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify the main themes in the implementation of literacy culture and its relationship with the development of civic intelligence. The research results show that the implementation of literacy culture at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu has been implemented well, although there are several challenges, such as a lack of literacy facilities and limited time for literacy activities. Factors that support the implementation of a literacy culture include support from the school, availability of reading materials, and active participation of teachers in guiding students. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include students' lack of interest in reading and limited time for carrying out literacy activities. The literacy culture implemented has been proven to have a positive influence on the development of students' civic intelligence, which can be seen from students' increased understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens, as well as their involvement in discussions and social activities that support civic values.

Abstract

Effective communication is crucial in the hospitality industry, yet there remain gaps in understanding how digital tools influence service quality and guest satisfaction. This study investigates the impact of WhatsApp Business on communication practices and service delivery at Four Points by Sheraton Batam. With the rapid evolution of technology, the hospitality sector must adapt to meet contemporary guest expectations. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews and observations of staff and guest interactions over a three-month period. Findings reveal that WhatsApp Business significantly enhances responsiveness, streamlining communication between staff and guests. Staff reported that the application facilitated quicker resolutions of guest requests and complaints, ultimately contributing to a more positive overall experience. Moreover, the study found that effective use of WhatsApp Business improved accessibility, making it easier for guests to voice their needs. While these results are promising, the research also highlights that factors such as staff training, management commitment to customer service, and existing operational protocols play critical roles in determining overall service quality. This study underscores the relevance of integrating digital communication tools within the hospitality sector and provides insights applicable to other service-oriented fields, including school counseling. In conclusion, the adoption of digital tools like WhatsApp Business can substantially elevate guest experiences, aligning with contemporary expectations in the digital age. However, limitations such as a small sample size and the focus on a single hotel indicate the need for further research to explore the long-term effects of digital communication tools in enhancing service quality within the hospitality industry.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh keterampilan guru PPKn menggunakan vidio pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada  materi hakikat demokrasi siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Kejuruan An-Nasir Kecamatan Dolok Sigompulan Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian, analisis data bersifat kuantitatif/statistik, dengan tujuan untuk menguji hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen (kelas yang diberi perlakuan). Berdasarkan penyajian hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa skor rata-rata hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas eksperimen pada pembelajaran materi hakikat demokrasi sebelum diberikan perlakuan (pretest) adalah sebesar 65,45. Skor tertinggi yang dicapai siswa adalah 85,00 dan skor terendah 55,00. Dengan Distribusi Frekuensi dan Persentase Skor berada pada kategori “sangat rendah”. Hal ini berarti pada umumnya siswa yang menjadi unit penelitian skor pelajaran PPKn-nya tergolong sangat rendah. Setelah guru PPKn menggunakan vidio pembelajaran ditemukan data peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hakikat demokrasi siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Kejuruan An-Nasir yaitu pada kelas eksperimen siswa yang tidak memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan individu adalah 1 orang atau 3,12%, sedangkan 31 orang atau 96,88% telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan belajar dari jumlah keseluruhan siswa. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol siswa yang tidak memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan individu adalah sebanyak 2 orang atau 6,25%, sedangkan 30 orang atau 93,75% telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan belajar dari jumlah keseluruhan siswa. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t juga juga diperoleh thitung>ttabel = 17,998 > 1,6698 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, ini berarti bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan keterampilan guru PKn menggunakan vidio pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar pada materi hakikat demokrasi siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Kejuruan An-Nasir.

Abstract

Era digital membawa tantangan dan peluang baru dalam pengambilan keputusan, khususnya bagi Generasi Z yang tumbuh bersama teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir logis dan analitis pada Generasi Z sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengambilan keputusan mereka. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kombinasi metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan studi literatur, survei, serta eksperimen berbasis teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat digital seperti simulasi keputusan, aplikasi berbasis analitik, dan pembelajaran berbasis kasus nyata dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan logis secara signifikan. Selain itu, integrasi keterampilan ini ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal dan pelatihan nonformal terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat kemampuan analisis dan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih rasional. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang lebih adaptif, kritis, dan siap menghadapi kompleksitas dunia digital.
