Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the administration of probiotics through drinking water on internal organs of bali ducks that given rations containing green bean sprouts peels.The research was carried out at the Sesetan Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, on Jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa no. 5 Sesetan, South Denpasar Sub-District for 8 weeks. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 5 replications,so there were 15 experimental units. Each unit used 3 female bali ducks with average body weight of 46.98 ± 7.18 g. The treatments were:the ducks that given drinking water without probiotics as a control (A), the ducks that given drinking water + 2.5 ml of probiotics (B), and the ducks that given drinking water + 5 ml of probiotics (C). The variableobserved was the percentage of heart, liver, provetriculus, ventriculus, bile, kidneys, small intestine and the long intestine. The results of this study showed that the percentage of internal organs of baliducks that given probiotics 2,5 ml and 5 ml in generallytended to be higher thanthe controls, but statistically notsignificantly different (P> 0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the administration of probiotics through drinking water as much as 2.5 ml and 5 ml/tail/day on the Ducks that are given rations containing the skin of green beans sprouts no effect on the percentage of internal organs (percentage of heart, liver, proventriculus, ventriculus, bile, kidney, small intestine and long intestine) females bali duck aged of 8weeks. Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of administering probiotics in drinking water on performanceof bali ducks fed rations containing green bean sprouts peels flour was conducted at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Farm, Udayana University, located on Jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa no 5, Sesetan, Denpasar, Bali for 8 weeks. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications, so there were 15 experimental units. Each experimental unit used 3 female bali ducks with a body weight range of 46.98 ± 7.18 g. The treatments were : ducks given drinking water without probiotics as a control (A), ducks given drinking water + 2,5 ml of probiotics (B), ducks given drinking water + 5 ml of probiotics (C). The variables observed were : ration consumption, drinking water consumption, initial body weight, final body weight, weight gain, and Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). The results of this study showed that in general the performance of ducks that were given probiotics tended to be higher than the controls as the increasing of the levels given, but statistically not significantlydifferent (P>0,05). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the administration of combination probioticBacillus subtilis strain BR2CL and Bacillus sp. strain BT3CL in drinking waterat the level of2,5 ml and 5 ml/head/day not yet improve the performance of female bali ducks 8 weeks of age fed ration containing green been sprout peel flour. Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji berat dan persentase potongan karkas komersial itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu yang diberi probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 melalui air minum telah dilaksanakan di kandang milik Bapak I Ketut Sunatra yang berlokasi di Kediri, Tabanan, selama 8 minggu. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan, yaitu: T0 (Air minum tanpa tambahan probiotik sebagai kontrol), T1 (Air minum + probiotik 0,5%), dan T2 (Air minum + probiotik 1%). Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri atas lima ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor itik bali jantan umur 3 hari dengan berat badanrata-rata55,72 ± 7,16 g. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat dan persentase potongan karkas komersial bagian dada, paha atas, paha bawah, sayap, dan punggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian probiotik Effective Microoganism-4 melalui air minum sebanyak1% nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan berat potongan karkas komersial bagian dada sebesar12,45%, berat potongan karkas yang lainnya berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Persentase potongan karkas komersial juga menunjukkanhasil yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 melalui air minum pada level 0,5% dan 1% cenderung meningkatkan berat potongan karkas komersial pada bagian dada, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap potongan karkas komersial bagian paha atas, paha bawah, sayap, dan punggungitik balijantan umur 8 minggu. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of giving turmeric powder through drinking water towards the percentage of broiler commercial carcass pieces aged of 5 weeks. The research was executed in a cage owned by Mr. I Ketut Arcana located in Candi Kusuma, Melaya, Jembrana Village for 40 days. The study was carried out using a completely randomize design (CRD) consisting of three treatments, namely: broiler given drinking water without turmeric powder (A), broiler given turmeric powder 0.5g/lt drinking water (B), and broiler given turmeric powder 1g/lt drinking water (C). Each treatment consisted of five replications and each replication used 12 broiler chickens age of 1 week regardless of sex with an average body weight of 179.33 ± 12.56 g. The variables observed were sloughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and percentage of carcass pieces. After 5 weeks, the result showed that the administration of tumeric powder in drinking water by 0.5g and 1g significalty (P<0.05) increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, and percentage of carcass pieces on breast, but the result of carcass weight in level 0.5g not significalty (P>0,05), then carcass percentage and percentage of carcass pieces of back, thighs, drum stick, and wings not significantly affect (P>0,05). Based on the result of this study it can be concluded that the administration of tumeric powder through drinking water by 1g can increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, and percentage of carcass pieces on breast, but not effect on carcass percentage and of carcass pieces of back, thighs, drum stick, and wings of broiler 5 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kulit kecambah kacang hijau dalam ransum terhadap potongan karkas komersial itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu telah dilaksanakan di farm Sesetan yang berlokasi di Jalan Raya Sesetan, Gang Markisa, Denpasar, Bali, selama 8 minggu mulai dari tanggal 16 februari sampai 16 april 2018. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan, yaitu: P0 (Ransum komersial tanpa tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau), P1 (Ransum mengandung 6% tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau), dan P2 (Ransum mengandung 12% tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau). Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 5 ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 3 ekor itik bali jantan umur 3 hari dengan berat rata-rata 42,9 g ±1,98 g. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat dan presentase dada, paha atas, paha bawah, sayap dan punggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau sebanyak 6% dan 12% berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap semua berat dan persentase potongan karkas komersial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau pada level 6% dan 12% tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat dan presentase potongan karkas komersial (dada, paha atas, paha bawah, sayap dan punggung) itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian abu Agnihotra dalam pakan komersial terhadap organ dalamayam broiler umur 5 minggu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kandang milik Bapak I Ketut Sunatra yang berlokasi di Br. Anyar, Kediri, Tabanan, Bali.Ayam yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler CP 707 umur satu hari (DOC) sebanyak 80 ekor tanpa membedakan jenis kelamin “unsexed”yang diperoleh dari PT. Tohpati Poultry Shop, Denpasar, Bali. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Masing-masing unit percobaan menggunakan 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah : A : pakan komersial tanpa abu Agnihotra (kontrol), B : pakan komersial + 0,1% abu Agnihotra, C :pakan komersial + 0,2% abu AgnihotradanD : pakan komersial + 0,3% abu Agnihotra. Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat jantung, hati, limpa, empedu dan ventrikulus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 0,1% - 0,3% abu Agnihotra dalam pakan komersial cenderung meningkatkan berat organ dalam ayam broiler umur 5 minggu seiring dengan meningkatnya level abu Agnihotra yang diberikan, namun secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian abu Agnihotra sebanyak 0,1%-0,3% dalam pakan komersial tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat organ dalam (jantung, hati, limpa, empedu dan ventrikulus) ayam broiler umur 5 minggu. Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik effective microorganism-4 melalui air minum terhadap berat organ dalam itik bali jantan. Penelitian dilakanakan di kandang milik Bapak I Ketut Sunatra yang berlokasi di Kediri, Tabanan selama 8 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancanagn Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan sehingga terdapat 15 unit percobaan, masing-masing unit menggunakan 3 ekor itik bali jantan dengan berat badan 55,72 ± 7,16 g. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah air minum tanpa probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 sebagai kontrol (P0), penambahan probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 sebanyak 0,5% (P1), dan penambahan probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 sebanyak 1% (P2). Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat jantung, hati, provetrikulus, ventrikulus, empedu, ginjal, usus halus dan panjang usus halus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum berat organ dalam itik yang diberi probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kontrol seiring dengan meningkatnya level yang diberikan, namun secara statistik tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 pada level 0,5% dan 1% tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat organ dalam (berat jantung, hati, proventrikulus, ventrikulus, empedu, ginjal, usus halus dan panjang usus halus) itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu. Abstract

This research aimed to assess the weight of female balinese duck twelve weeks commercial carcass pieces that given diets supplemented with fermented papaya leaves has been carried out in Kediri-Tabanan for three months. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) that consists of three treatments and five replications, so there were fifteen experimental units. Every unit of the experimental using there balinese duck, one week of old and 76,37 ± 7,48  grams of body weight. The treatments were: R0 (Control diets without fermented papaya leaves), R1 (The diets containing 5% fermented papaya leaves) and R2 (The diets containing 10% fermented papaya leaves). Variables observed in this research were the weight of commercial carcass pieces on and back. The results showed that the fermented papaya leaves supplementation in ration on level 5% generate the highest weight of commercial carcass pieces, but statistically not significant (P>0.05), except on the back.  The weight of backs increased (P< 0.05) 26.0% on R1 treatment and 2.22% in R2 treatment.  The concluded that the fermented papaya leaves in rations increase  weight of back pieces, but no effect on the weight of another commercial carcass were brest, wings, thighs, drumsticks

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui organ dalam ayam kampung yang diberi ransum dengan aditif sari daun pepaya terfementasi telah dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan di kandang milik peternak yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Kediri-Tabanan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok berasarkan berat badan, sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Tiap unit percobaan menggunakan 5 ekor ayam kampung umur 4 minggu dengan berat badan berkisar antara 62-149 gram. Keempat perlakuan tersebut, yaitu: A) ransum komersial 70% + dedak jagung 30% sebagai kontrol, B) ransum A + 8% aditif sari daun pepaya terfermentasi, C) ransum A + 12% aditif sari daun pepaya terfermentasi dan D) ransum A + 16% aditif sari daun pepaya terfermentasi. Variabel yang diamati meliputi berat hati, jantung, proventrikulus, ventrikulus dan usus halus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa berat hati, jantung, proventrikulus, ventrikulus dan usus halus menunjukan hasil berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan ransum dengan aditif sari daun pepaya terfermentasi pada level 8-16% tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat hati, jantung, proventrikulus, ventrikulus dan usus halus ayam kampung.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of fermented papaya leaves in ration on organoleptic characteristics of female ducks. The study was conducted in Kediri, Tabanan-Bali. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 3 treatments. The treatments were P0 (commercial ration without fermented papaya leaves), P1 (commercial ration + 5% fermented papaya leaves) and P2 (commercial ration + 10% fermented papaya leaves) and as replicates were 15 panelists determining preferred levels (hendonic scale), then transformed to a numerical value for statistical analysis. Assessment of the numbers 1 (one) to 5 (five) indicating the value (score) in the following order: 1 (very dislike), 2 (dislikes), 3 (regular), 4 (like), 5 (very like) The observed variables are color, aroma, flavor, texture and overall acceptance. The results showed that the addition of fermented papaya leaves in ration increased the texture value or significantly different (P <0.05). The results of color, flavor, taste and overall acceptance have no significant or different effect (P> 0.05) with controls, but as the addition of papaya leaf degree is favored, the panelist favorability tends to increase. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of fermented papaya leaves at the level of 5% - 10% in the ration can increase the value of tenderness or texture of female duck meat, but it does not affect the color, aroma, flavor and overall acceptance.
