Abstract

This study examines the effects of ChatGPT integration, team collaboration, and communication patterns on student project performance in a Software Engineering Practicum course at a private university in West Java, Indonesia. The emergence of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT presents new opportunities for enhancing learning engagement and teamwork in higher education. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 students through a Likert-scale questionnaire, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that ChatGPT integration has a significant positive impact on both team collaboration and communication patterns, which in turn strongly influence project performance. Among all variables, communication patterns emerged as the strongest predictor of success, followed by team collaboration and ChatGPT integration. Furthermore, team collaboration mediates the relationship between ChatGPT use and project performance, indicating that AI tools are most effective when embedded within social learning processes. The model demonstrated high explanatory power (R² = 0.790) and strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.785). These results highlight that ChatGPT acts not as a replacement for human effort, but as a cognitive collaborator that strengthens teamwork and communication, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes in AI-assisted project-based education.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies has encouraged manufacturing companies to integrate Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and production tracking systems to improve operational performance and delivery reliability. This study aims to analyze the impact of IoT implementation and production tracking systems on delivery timeliness in the electronics industry in Tangerang City. A quantitative research approach was applied using survey data collected from 150 employees involved in production and logistics activities. Data were measured using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to evaluate both measurement and structural models. The results indicate that IoT implementation has a positive and significant effect on delivery timeliness by enabling real-time monitoring and faster operational coordination. Production tracking systems also show a strong positive influence by improving scheduling accuracy, workflow visibility, and decision-making processes. Furthermore, the integration of IoT and production tracking technologies contributes to better supply chain responsiveness and reduced delivery delays. These findings highlight the strategic role of digital monitoring systems in enhancing manufacturing performance and meeting customer delivery expectations. This study provides empirical insights for practitioners and contributes to the growing literature on smart manufacturing and technology-driven operational efficiency in Indonesia’s electronics sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Edge Computing implementation on the operational performance of manufacturing companies in Central Java. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25, including descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both IIoT and Edge Computing have a significant positive effect on operational performance, explaining 54% of the variance. Specifically, IIoT enhances real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and overall production efficiency, while Edge Computing reduces latency and accelerates data-driven decision-making. The findings provide practical insights for manufacturing managers seeking to optimize operations through advanced digital technologies.
