Abstract

This study aims to develop a Discord-based COMPILE application model to improve the effectiveness of teachers and education staff management. This research is a Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) model with sequential explanatory mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative). Product development on the model uses the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Developmental research was conducted at Tunas Bangsa Elementary School, Kuburaya, West Kalimantan. The research subjects were school directors, principals, teachers, and education staff. Research results were validated using technique triangulation and source triangulation methods. Qualitative data analysis used the Miles & Huberman model, while quantitative data analysis used the Likert scale. The results of the IT expert validation assessment showed a score percentage of 93%, the management expert validation result was 84%, and the results of the field trial with users (management, teachers, staff) showed a score of 82%. Thus, respectively showed the results of each validation and trial in a row as "Very Good", "Good" and "Good". So, the product, a Discord-based COMPILE application model, is feasible, acceptable, and can be used to improve the effectiveness of the school's management of teachers and education staff resources.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Google Sites-based parenting management model to support the role of parents in shaping a child's character and development. This method used research and development with the Borg & Gall model, which involved research, planning, initial product development, field testing, and leading product revisions. The study took place at TK Kristen 03 Eben Heazer, Salatiga, involving school principals, teachers, and parents. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentary studies, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis utilized qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The development of the "Family-Link" parenting management model received validation scores of 83% from IT experts and 88% from Management experts. The trial results from school principals, teachers, and parents sequentially showed 84.61%, 91.78%, and 87.30%. Therefore, "Family-Link" falls into the category of being ready for effective use as a parenting management tool. The "Family-Link" website provides school information, documentation of children's activities, a communication forum for parents and teachers, parenting resources, a calendar, and forms for evaluation and sharing parental experiences. In conclusion, the research findings demonstrate that the "Family-Link" parenting management model effectively supports the administration of parenting programs in schools and enhances parental involvement in child development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a peer-based academic supervision model to enhance 21st-century teaching skills in elementary schools. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg & Gall model, utilizing a mixed-method design with a Sequential Exploratory Design. The research subjects consist of teachers from SD Negeri Banyubiru 01, Semarang Regency, Central Java Province. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, which were subsequently analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Product validation involved two experts (content and language). Qualitative data validation applied source triangulation and technique triangulation, while quantitative data validation employed expert judgment. Qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, while quantitative data were processed using the Mann-Whitney statistical test. Expert validation resulted in an average score of 90% (categorized as highly feasible) for content and 93% (highly feasible) for language. The findings indicate that the peer-based academic supervision model positively impacts teachers' teaching skills, as evidenced by the Mann-Whitney test results, which reveal a significant difference in teachers' pedagogical competence before and after the implementation of academic supervision. Through this approach, teachers can exchange experiences, provide constructive feedback, and enhance their professional teaching practices. Moreover, the model fosters a collaborative school culture and encourages innovation in teaching methods. The peer-based academic supervision model has proven effective in improving teachers’ teaching skills in the context of 21st-century education. Therefore, this model is recommended for broader implementation with policy support from schools and educational authorities to sustainably enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of lecturers teaching the Guitar Ensemble course in the Music Study Program, Satya Wacana Christian University, using the Charlotte Danielson Model. The focus of this study is to identify areas that require improvement to enhance the quality of learning. Adopting an evaluative mixed-methods design, this research applies the Danielson Framework for Teaching, which classifies instructional practice into four domains: planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and questionnaires based on the model’s indicators. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively using percentages, while qualitative data were examined using an interactive model, involving data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that overall lecturer performance is categorized as 'good'. The evaluation domains effectively capture important critical aspects such as subject mastery and communication skills. However, several areas require attention: the use of broader academic references, improved classroom management in ensemble practice, and the implementation of more participatory teaching strategies. While lecturers’ professional responsibilities were generally positive, the documentation of teaching journals remains insufficient. It is recommended that lecturers improve lesson planning and adopt interactive approaches such as reflective discussions and collaborative projects. Additionally, higher education institutions should support this process by enhancing facilities and providing ongoing professional development. These efforts are essential to ensure sustainable improvements in the quality of teaching and learning, particularly in music education settings where interaction, creativity, and collaboration are central.

Abstract

This study aims to develop, validate, and examine the acceptability of an academic supervision model that integrates a humanistic approach with a web-based platform to support high school teachers’ well-being. Employing a mixed-methods design within a Research and Development (R&D) framework, the study included needs analysis, product design, expert validation, and field trials involving 20 teachers and one principal. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires, and were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings indicate a strong need for more dialogical, flexible, and collaborative supervision. The developed model received high validation scores from academic supervision experts (93.06%) and information technology experts (84.73%). The user acceptance test demonstrated an excellent result (94.92%), confirming that this model successfully fostered a more comfortable, meaningful supervision experience that also motivated teachers. This study contributes a practical, evidence-based supervision model that is replicable and demonstrates how technology can effectively support humanistic relationships to enhance teaching quality and teacher well-being in the digital era.
