Abstract

Requirements Engineering Quality (REQ) has a large influence on the success of a software project. A systematic literature review (SLR) is conducted to get complete information about REQ. SLR reviewed 46 relevant publications from 2016 – 2022, sourced from three literature sources: Science Direct, Scopus, and IEEE. Based on the SLR, it is known that, generally, the artifacts processed for REQ are text requirements. The quality standards for REQ that are widely used are ISO/IEEE/IEC 29148 and IEEE 830, while the quality variables that are widely used are correctness, completeness, consistency, and defects/faults found in RE. A number of methods are used to perform automatic REQ. The most widely used method in publications is NLP. This is in line with most artifacts used in REQ, such as text requirements.

Abstract

Low self-awareness and confidence hinder learning strategies, reduce academic motivation, and prevent psychology-based educational strategies from developing optimally due to limited research integrating these factors. This study examines the influence of self-awareness and self-confidence on learning achievement, mediated by academic motivation. Data from 300 high school students in Indonesia were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, while learning achievement was measured based on the average semester score. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis showed that self-awareness had a positive and significant effect on academic motivation (β = 0.45, p < 0.01) and learning achievement (β = 0.30, p < 0.01). Similarly, self-confidence positively influenced academic motivation (β = 0.35, p < 0.01) and learning achievement (β = 0.25, p < 0.01). Academic motivation was found to mediate the relationship between self-awareness and learning achievement (indirect effect = 0.20, p < 0.01) as well as between self-confidence and learning achievement (indirect effect = 0.15, p < 0.01). The proposed SEM model demonstrated a good fit with the data (χ² = 212.34, df = 149, p < 0.01; RMSEA = 0.045; CFI = 0.97; TLI = 0.96). These findings highlight the importance of self-awareness and self-confidence in enhancing learning achievement through increased academic motivation. This study contributes theoretically to understanding psychological factors affecting learning achievement and has practical implications for developing educational interventions. Future research is recommended to adopt a longitudinal design and mixed methods and explore mediator or moderator variables for more effective educational strategies.

Abstract

Ensuring a reliable electricity supply is crucial for Indonesia's development. This study applies deep learning to forecast diesel backup power output. One challenge in such predictions is balancing the input sequence length and the number of features to avoid overly long input sequences, which may degrade model performance. To address this, we utilized an autoencoder to compress the input sequence, improving prediction accuracy. Additionally, given the time-consuming nature of hyper-parameter optimization in deep learning, we employed Bayesian optimization to streamline the process and achieve optimal hyper-parameter settings. The study compares a General Regression Neural Network (GRNN) optimized by FOA with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) models optimized by Gaussian Process (GP). Results show that LSTM and GRU with encoded inputs outperform their non-encoded counterparts. The GRU, combined with an autoencoder and Bayesian-optimized hyper-parameters, achieves the lowest prediction error, demonstrating superior forecasting capability. The dataset, obtained from evaluated feeders in Kapuas District, Central Kalimantan, covers hourly power generation and distribution from October 2017 to September 2018. Data was split into 11 months for training and 1 month for testing, with the training set further divided into 70% training and 30% validation. The best performing model achieved RMSE and MAE values of 27.5824 and 14.9804, respectively. Future research may explore further optimization, feature selection techniques, and extended dataset variations.
