Abstract

The purpose of this training activity is to train the elementary school teachers in Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency to developing an integrated  instrument component (IIC) natural science based on nature around. Teachers are trained to operate the Integrated Instrument Components natural science elementary shool that has been developed. The target audience is elementary school teachers in Inuman SubDistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency and who attended this event came from public and private elementary school representatives with 29 participants from 12 schools. Method of activity is the presentation of materials, modeling, training and simulation /discussion. Evaluation carried out from the beginning of the activity, during the implementation and the end of activities with questionnaires, observations and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result of data analysis obtained by the average of the performance of 89% participants in very good category, so also the participant response about this service activity equal to 97,5% in very good category. The conclusion of the results of this training activities of elementary school teachers in the Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency has the knowledge and able to implemeting in developing an integrated  instrument component simple natural science based on nature around for natural science learning in elementary school.

Abstract

Physics of earth and space is one of the subject that learn about natural phenomena. Leraning activity that learn about nature require students to be able to think logically and critically about a phenomena. Therefore, learning models and learning tools are needed that support lecture activity that allow students to construct knowledge through experiments and gather various information. The fact found that the lectures of earth and space physics that are used today are still conventional. This does not support the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. One solution that can be done is to develop lecture devices consisting of worksheets oriented to inquiry models and earth teaching aids which are implemented in lectures. The aim of this research is to obtain the effectivity value of the devices of earth and space physics lecture to improve the critical thinking skill of students. Data collection instrument is pretest and posttest before and after use the product. Data analysis technique use t-test correlates with product moment. The result of this research is the worksheet of earth and space physics oriented inquiry model is effective improve of student’s critical thinking skill with the value of the product moment is 60%.

Abstract

Abstract: the aim of this research is to describe students representation ability in applaying Modeling Instruction on Dynamic Electicity at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The expected benefits of this research is to train the student in using such representation (verbal, mathematics, graphs and pictorial), in order to increase student representation ability. This research was conducted at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru in X8 class totaling 39 students. The design of the research is Pre-experimental design formone shot case study. Through applying Modeling Instruction, student trained to serve representation to such kind of representation: verbal representation, mathematics representation, graphs representations, pictorial representation. From the research, based of aspect representation ability; formulate information from a representation, forming a new representation, the consistency of representation and solve problems using the representation obtained the ability of student representation by implementing of Modeling Instruction obtained the criteria of representation ability categorized medium level with an average score 76,50. therefore in teaching physics, by using Modeling Instruction could train the first year student representation ability on dynamic electric material at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru.Kata Kunci: Modeling Instruction, representation ability, Dynamic electicity

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at describe cognitive learning outcomes science of physics through the implementation strategy Bowling Campus on light subject at SMPN 15 Pekanbaru. The expected benefits of this research is for students implementation Bowling Campus strategy can improve the cognitive learning to become a better student. For teachers can be used as an alternative teaching strategies to improve the quality of science physics teaching. This research was conducted in SMP 15 Pekanbaru precisely in March 2015 until June 2015 in class VIII6 totaling 39 students. The design of the research is Pre-experimental design shapes One Shot Case study. From the research results obtained by the average value of absorption of students by 76.53% and categorized as good. Based on the average value of absorption was also found that the effectiveness of learning by applying Bowling Campus declared effective strategy. Based on 20 indicators of achievement of competencies in a given light material, 14 indicators declared complete with a percentage of 70%. It can be concluded that the application of Bowling Campus strategy can be used as an alternative in order to achieve the learning outcomes of cognitive learning better students in the classroom VIII6 SMP 15 Pekanbaru.Key Words: cognitive learning outcomes, active learning, Bowling Campus, light

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to determine the level of students misconception on linear kinematics motion material by the application of diagnostic test at X class of MAN 1 Pekanbaru and MAN 2 Pekanbaru. The total population was 165 students which all of X class students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru and MAN 2 Pekanbaru. The research instrument used is diagnostic test. The data was obtained by giving diagnostic test to students were after linear kinematics motion had been learnt. The data was analayse by using descriptive analysis and percentage teqnique which gave the description about students misconception level. The result showed that the percentage of average students at X class of MA Negeri Pekanbaru misconception was 59.76% with moderate level of misconception.Keywords: Misconception, diagnostic test, linear kinematics motion.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the result of increased student learning material optical devices through the implementation of cooperative learning modelpeer lessons in MTsN Andalan Pekanbaru. Samples are VIII.9 class as an experimental class and the class as a class VIII.2 controls. The study was conducted in MTsN Andalan Pekanbaru from March to May 2016, for 3 months. This research was Quasi Experimental design using the pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection instrument in this study was pretest and posttest cognitive learning outcomes that are 20 questions. Data were analyzed descriptively include absorption, the effectiveness of learning, mastery learning, and improved learning outcomes. Analysis of the data after learning the implementation of cooperative learning model peer lessons got good results. The average absorption in class experiments using peer application of lessons is 80.71% effective with the category average of 80% completeness study with very good categories, and improved learning outcomes by 0.66 in the medium category. Therefore peer lessons cooperative learning model effectively used in learning and can improve student learning outcomes in the material optical instruments in MTsN Andalan Pekanbaru.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Peer Lessons, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to describe and find out the improvement of students interest learning by applying creative problem solving (CPS) model. The research used quasi experimental model, with nonequivalent control group design. The subject are 70 students of class X SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara, divide into experiment class and control class. Data of the research is score of interest before and after applying creative problem solving model with descriptive and inferential analysis. Analysis of the increase of interest learning analyzed was used normalized gain (N-Gain) and t-test. The descriptive analysis of interest learning’s post test experiment class shows that N-Gain was 0.35 in medium category and control class was 0.2 in lower category. This proved by inferential analysis, the analyzed shows t(68) = 2.079 p = 0.041 means p < 0.05, then Ho is rejected. Which means that there are difference in interest of learning between experiment class and control class. It can therefore be concluded that the implementation of creative problem solving model can be increase the interest of learning in SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara.Key Words: Creative Problem Solving (CPS), Student Interest Learning, Dynamic Electrical

Abstract

Abstract: PjBL IPA learners worksheets are worksheets that are prepared and designed with emphasis on the independence of learners in constructing their learning through project assignments. The main objective of this research is to develop a valid and practical PJBL-based science student worksheet on simple aircraft material for class VIII junior high school and to know the absorption of students science process skills. In this study the validation stage was carried out 2 times. The first validation was conducted by 5 validators, namely by 3 lecturers of FKIP UNRI and 2 experienced science teachers. The second validation was conducted by 2 validators, namely 2 science teachers in SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Next, the student worksheets were given to 40 students of class VIII at SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. This research instrument was in the form of a validation questionnaire, response questionnaire, and test results for learning science process skills. Data analysis in this study uses quantitative descriptive analysis by calculating the index of each indicator used to determine the validity and practicality of the worksheets students develop. The results of this study provide information about PjBL based science students worksheets developed on this simple plane material with very high categories, namely 92% content aspect, 88.75% construction aspect, 87% linguistic aspect, 90% graphic aspect. This PBPL LKPD has also been practical, for the questionnaire responses of teachers according to the very good category namely the content aspect of 93.33%, the construction aspect 83.33%, the 96.67% aspect, the graphic aspect 93.33%. Questionnaire responses of students in the category of very good, namely the aspect of content 88.86%, 82.83% construction aspects, linguistic aspects 89.75%, 89.25% graphic aspects. The absorption of students' process skills according to the category is quite good at 67.5%. Based on the results of the study, the worksheet developed by PjBL students can be used in learning to support the teaching and learning process so that it becomes better.Keywords: Student worksheet, Project Based Learning, Learning Outcomes Of Science Process Skills, Simple Aircraft.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to find out the improvement of the students motivation learning by applying strategy who wants to be a milioner. This research is a this study is a pre-experiment One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subject of this research is students class X at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru, total of 21 students. In this pre-experimental research design the data collection instrument used was a questionnaire of learning motivation of ARCS, where students are given a pretest first motivation questionnaire to see the students initial motivation level, After that given treatment by applying the strategy who wants to be a millionaire, then students are given a final motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively to see the improvement of learning motivation. The result of this research, score motivation students increase of 19%. Where the average score of students initial motivation of 2.47 is at a low category, while the average score of final student motivation motivation of 2.94 is in the high category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of strategy who wants to be a milioner able to improve the motivation of students at SMA PGRI PekanbaruKey Words: Who Wants to be a Milioner, Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the increase student’s ability of the reasoning formal with Lerning Cycle 5E model and conventional through the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang. Population of this research is class VIII consisting of 2 class. Sample taken is 2 class. Techniques determining the experiment’s class and control’s class with Simple Random Sampling. This research was conducted in MTsN Sungai Tonang precisely in July until December 2015. The design of this research was a Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection Instruments in this research was the test learning outcomes the ability of reasoning formal given before and after learning. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential. The result analiysis descriptif showed absorpsion that after learning implementation of the learning cycle 5E model is 74.4% category of good. The result inferential obtained significant value 0.00 (0.00 < 0.05) then Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that significant different against the student’s reasoning formal the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang the application of Learning Cycle 5E model with class the application conventional learning.
