Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stressor dengan strategi koping mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Riau dalam mengatasi stres melaksanakan tahap profesi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif corelation study  dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada 30 mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Riau yang menjalani tahap profesi dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis yang digunakan adalah uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa mengalami stres sedang dan berat dengan stressor utama yaitu ujian tindakan dan perbedaan antara teori dan praktik. Emotional- focussed coping cenderung lebih sering digunakan oleh mahasiswa. Dari uji statistik diketahui bahwa tidak adanya hubungan antara tingkat stressor dengan strategi koping mahasiswa keperawatan dalam mengatasi stres melaksanakan tahap profesi ( p-value > 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan pembimbing klinik untuk dapat mengurangi perbedaan teori-praktik yang menjadi stressor utama mahasiswa dan  mengembangkan intervensi yang tepat dalam mengurangi stres mahasiswa

Abstract

Abstract  Health education about fluid intake restraction should be given to patient on hemodialysis (HD) in order to prevent complications.  The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of health education with individual approach about fluid intake restriction towards interdialytic weight gain (IDWG) in patients with hemodialysis. The design of this research was quasy experiment. 32 respondens were taken by using purposive sampling method. Measuring instruments was analog scale. Data were analysed by using dependent t test and independent t test. Most respondents were aged 56-65 years (28,1%), with equal number between men and women (50%), most of respondents didn’t work (37,5%), must of length of HD were 12-24 months (40,6%). The result of this research showed there was influence health education using individual methods of restricting fluid intake towards IDWG in patients with hemodialysis p value (0,016) <  α (0,05). Nurses are suggested to provide nursing care about restricting fluid intake to prevent complications in order to improve the quality of life of patients. Keywords: hemodialysis, individual method, health education, fluid intake restraction

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analize the effectiveness of beetroot juice of hemoglobin levels for pregnant women withanemia. The research used quasy experiment design with non-equivalent control group which is divided intoexperimental group and control group. The research was conducted on pregnant women in the “Puskesmas PekanbaruKota”. The sample of this research is taken by using purposive techniques sampling which is selected based oninclusion criteria. The instrument of this research digital levels of hemoglobin gauges. Data then analyzed intounivariate and bivariate with independent and dependent sample t test. The result showed that of juice beet ofhemoglobin levels for pregnant women with anemia with p value (0,000) < α (0,05). The result of this researchrecommend health care to give promotion about complementary for pregnant women consume of beet juice.Keywords : anemia, beetroot juice, hemoglobin, pregnant women

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between family support and self-esteem of adolescent in prison. This research used descriptive correlative method with cross-sectional approach. Samples of this research were taken using purposive sampling. This research’s sample consists of 57 adolescents in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II B Pekanbaru. Data was collected using Ronsenberg self esteem (1995) by Ronsenberg and a questionnaire modified from Khalid (2011). And then it was analyzed using fisher's exact test. The results showed that the numbers of adolescent who have high social support and have high self esteem are 29 respondents (100%). While, the numbers of adolescent who have low social support and have high self-esteem are 27 respondents (96.4%). From the result, it can be concluded that there was no relationship between family support and self-esteem of adolescent in prison (p value = 0.491> α 0.05). Based on this study, it is suggested to the families to provide high social support to adolescents in prison, so that they can survive or adapt to the needs and experience during their training in prison, rediscover their confidence, and could be a part of community members when they are free. Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge and attitude of nurses on drug giving  in nursing documentation . The design of this research  was" descriptive correlative " with “cross-sectional " approach . This research was conducted in medical surgical room Eka Hospital Pekanbaru . Total sample was 58 people’s which taken using purposive sampling technique with attention to inclusion criteria. Measuring instruments used in this research is a questionnaire and observation sheet to measure knowledge , attitudes and actions. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate chi square test . The results showed the correlation between knowledge and attitudes about drug giving in nursing documentation ( p - value < 0.05 ). Nurses are expected to do drug giving in nursing documentation b medication according to Potter Perry’s standard (2010) is name of patien, name of drug, dose, time, and documentation, so there is no mistake in the act of drug giving. Abstract

Clinical practice is one of academic programs in nursing faculty which is held in the first year. This program often leads the first year students get stressed. This research aims to identified the factors that could caused stress for the nursing students during their first clinical practice. This research was conducted at the Faculty Nursing of Riau University on July 2018 by using descriptive method with correlative analysis and cross sectional approach. There are 150 respondents taken by considering the inclusion criteria using accident sampling technic. The measuring instrument is Depression Anxiety Stres Scales (DASS) questionnaire to find the variable of stress level and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) questionnaire to find the variable of stress factors. The analysis that is applied is univariate analysis as it aims to seeks the frequency distribution and bivariate by using chi-square test. In addition, the factors relating to the stress level for the students are assignment and workload (p = 0,009), relation with co-workers (p = 0,006), knowledge (p = 0,008), skill in treating the patients (p = 0,002) and lecturers’ support (p = 0,004). The factors unrelated to the stress level for the students is environment (p = 0,508). The result of the research is the most of nursing students have moderate level of stress like feeling tired, tired easily, and can’t relax. It is suggested to the nursing students to prepare themselves before implementing clinical practice to prevent the stress and beneficial to the nursing care provide. Abstract

Abstract Psychoreligius therapy is a therapeutic approach to the beliefs held by patients, one of that is the zikir Al-Ma’surat therapy. Psychoreligius therapy which is done properly can decrease the hallucinations auditory score. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of psikoreligius therapy: zikir Al-Ma'tsurat toward score auditory hallucinations in schizophrenic patients in Tampan Mental Hospital Riau Province. The design of this study is "Quasi-experimental design" by  "non equivalent control group". This reserch was conducted in Mental Hospital of Tampan Riau Province toward 30 people. The people were divided into 2 groups. The first group consist of 15 people as an experimental group and the second group consist of 15 people as control group by using purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that uses Halucination Auditory Rating Scale (AHRC). Esxperimental group was given treatment of remembrance as much as 14 times in 7 days for 15 minutes. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test in experimental group scor median is 5.00, while in the control group is 21.00. The results showed the difference in scores hallucinations significantly after therapy is given of remembrance Al-Ma'tsurat between the experimental group and the control group with p value = 0,001 <(0.05). It can be concluded that the therapy of remembrance Al-Ma'tsurat effective to decrease the score of auditory hallucinations. The results of this study are expected to be one of the nursing interventions to decrease the score of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenic patients. Keywords: Patients with schizophrenia, score auditory hallucinations, therapy zikir Al-Ma'tsurat

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety, pain, and environment with sleep quality in patients with postoperative appendicitis. This study used a descriptive design with cross-sectional correlation. The sample of this research was the patient with postoperative appendicitis at Arifin Achmad Hospital, the number of samples is 54 respondents were taken using a consecutive sampling technique. Instruments used in this research was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. The results showed that there is an correlation between pain and anxiety with sleep quality appendicitis postoperative patients (p value = 0.000, 0.000) and there is no relationship between the environment and the quality of sleep in patients with postoperative appendicitis (p value = 0.828). Based on the result of this research advised to the health care provider especially nurses to increase health care and patient needs. Keywords : Anxiety, environmental, quality, pain

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to known mother experience in caring school-age children with autism. The research method was qualitative with phenomenological approach to described mother experience in dealing with any problems in the treatment of children with autism. This  study was conducted in three School of Children with Special Needs Pekanbaru involved 5 participants that taken by purposive sampling method. The process of data collection using interviews with a semi-structured interview guide, field notes and recording devices. The research found five theme such as: experiences mother when children diagnosis autism, mother treatment for children autism, like or dislike in treatment children autism, solving of problem in treatment children autism, supporting for mother that acquired. The research recommends to school of children with special need to parents with information about the strategies and tips for taking care of autistic children based on experiences of  parents. Abstract

Abstract Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease directly caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis. The aim of this research is to identify the correlation between grade of dyspnea and quality of life in pulmonary tuberculosis patient in Poli Paru Arifin Achmad Hospital. The research isdesign by descriptive correlation with retrospective.The sample of this researchis 66 respondents that is select based on inclusion criteria. The data is collect by using questionnaire. The questionnaire is adopt from Modified Medical Research Council (MMRC) to measure grade of dyspnea and WHOQOL-BREF to mesure quality of life. The questionnaire for quality of life is tasted the validity of the result (r = 0.497-0.785) and reliability test with Cronbach Alpha’s = 0.947. The data is analyze by ANOVA test and the result showed the higher grade of dyspnea, the lower quality of life and there is correlation between garde of dyspnea and quality of life in pulmonary tuberculosis patient withdegree p value (0.004) <α(0.05).Based on the results of this research, it is expected for nurses to provide health education about breathing exercise to increase quality of life in pulmonary tuberculosis patient.
