Abstract

The aim of the present study was to portray students' mathematical logical intelligence in class VIII at one of the junior high school in Karawang Regency. Mathematical logical intelligence is a skill that can help students solve math problems. Students' inability to calculate and use reasoning is still a concern in learning mathematics. Skills in processing words and numbers, utilize reasoning, analyzing problems logically, finding formulas and conducting scientific investigations are intelligence that students must have. The research used descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this article are 3 students out of 40 students taken randomly purposive sampling of the criteria of high, medium, and low levels of logical-mathematical intelligence based on the results of the selected tests to observe and analyze logical-mathematical abilities. The instrument used in this study was a logical mathematical intelligence test instrument tailored to indicators of mathematical logical intelligence, namely: 1) ability to process numbers and solve calculations problems, 2) ability to use mathematical analysis, and 3) ability to solve problems using thinking skills, 4) ability to solve math problem related to patterns and relationships, and 5) ability in inductive and deductive thinking. The results showed that the average ability of students' logical-mathematical intelligence was still in the moderate category

Abstract

This study aims to see how students' ability to solve problems related to surface area and volume of combined space builds. The research method used was qualitative descriptive involving 15 grade VIII students at a junior high school in Karawang Regency. The results showed that there was a variation in students' abilities, only a small percentage of students were able to solve the problem well, while most students still had difficulties. Common mistakes encountered are related to calculations and understanding the concept of building space that has not been fully mastered by most students. This information becomes an important basis for improving the quality of geometry learning in schools, focusing on areas that cause difficulties for students.

Abstract

Effective education that supports future development is the type of education that focuses on developing students' abilities. Developing digital game-based learning media can be an innovative choice to expand digital media and add variety to the learning process, especially in mathematics education. This digital media development uses the Unity platform and follows the Research and Development (RD) method with the 4D model. The research results show that the development of the "baret" digital game media is very practical, as evidenced by the assessments from media and content experts, and the majority of students also find this media very practical to use in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan memberikan gambaran bagaimana terkait dengan kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Indikator yang digunakan untuk menggambaran dilakukannya berpikir reflektif pada tahap pertama adalah siswa mengalami kesulitan dan siswa membaca soal berulang-ulang. Indikator pada tahap kedua yaitu siswa dapat menentukan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan dari soal. Indikator pada tahap ketiga ialah siswa mampu menentukan saran pemecahan masalah yang mungkin, sebelum melakukan langkah-langkah penyelesaian. Indikator pada tahap keempat yaitu siswa menentukan penyelesaian masalah yang dianggap terbaik. Indikator pada tahap kelima ialah siswa melakukan langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah berdasarkan penyelesaian masalah yang ditentukan dan dianggap terbaik sebelumnya, kemudian siswa mengecek jawaban serta menarik kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat siswa yang mampu berpikir reflektif dan juga terdapat siswa yang tidak mampu berpikir secara reflektif. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan berbeda-beda.

Abstract

The current problem is that interactive dialogue between educators and students is more challenging than face-to-face. It has an impact on low learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the application of Mobile Learning (ML) on student learning outcomes, which will be seen based on student ability groups (High Category, Medium Category, Low Category), then based on each class (Class A, Class B, Class C), and overall students. This type of research is qualitative research with the One Sample Posttest Group Design. The sample for this study was 96 students from three classes which constituted the population and, at the same time, the sample in this study as a whole. The method used to collect data is a test. The instrument used to collect data is a math test sheet. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative and inferential statistics. The research results are that the influence of Mobile Learning (ML) on the student learning outcomes group for the high category does not give any influence. However, the student learning outcomes groups for the medium category and low categories do give an effect. The influence of Mobile Learning in each class, A, B, and C, shows a significant influence. The effect of Mobile Learning on student learning outcomes as a whole shows a significant influence. It was concluded that the application of mobile learning can have an impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Students abilities in solving math problems vary greatly. The underlying purpose of this research is to identify students' ability to solve problems that exist in the problem of line and angle material. The research uses a method that describes how far students' abilities are based on indicators of achieving basic competencies. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Majalaya with the subjects selected were 15 students from class VIII K. Data collection was carried out by giving written test sheets to students and documentation to describe the results of student work. The steps taken to analyze the data obtained are selecting data according to criteria, displaying data, and concluding results. Keywords: Student Abilities, Student Answer, Line and Angles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan siswa dalam membuat dan membaca grafik pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) di kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan sepuluh siswa dari kelas VIII J di SMP Negeri 3 Karawang Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi kemampuan siswa, di mana beberapa siswa menunjukkan kemampuan baik dalam membuat dan membaca grafik, tetapi masih ada yang mengalami kesulitan. Evaluasi indikator soal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa kesulitan dalam membuat grafik yaitu pada pemodelan matematika, operasi aljabar, dan pembuatan grafik. Siswa juga belum sepenuhnya mampu dalam membaca grafik dengan akurat, terutama dalam menentukan nilai titik potong. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian siswa menunjukkan kemampuan yang baik, tetapi masih diperlukan peningkatan lebih lanjut, terutama dalam kemampuan pemodelan matematika dan operasi aljabar. Perlu diselaraskan pemahaman siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam membuat dan membaca grafik pada materi SPLDV di masa depan. Penelitian ini memberikan dasar yang baik untuk pengembangan pembelajaran, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam membuat dan membaca grafik materi SPLDV.

Abstract

Artikel ini Bertujuan Untuk Mengetahui penerapan Profil Pelajar Pancasila pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Pemanfaatan Media Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang sebagai ciri khas dari pembentukan karakter pada kurikulum merdeka dinilai dapat menarik minat siswa untuk mengembangkan kemapuan literasi matematis sehingga perlahan diharapkan akan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif pada tiga orang siswa subjek yang dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Tujuan Penelitian Ini adalah untuk Mengetahui ketehubungan Profil Pelajar Pancasila terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Siswa pada soal pola bilangan. Untuk lebih memahami cara menyelesaikan masalah matematika dilakukan dengan memberikan tes tertulis secara uraian sesuai dengan soal AKM (Assesmen Kompetisi Minimum). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes tertulis kepada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Karawang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah menunjukkan kemampuan literasi siswa menyelesaikan materi pola bilangan sesuai dengan profil pelajar pacansila serta penerapan Profil Pelajar Pancasila saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

This article discusses the Analysis of Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability in SPLTV material. So get an overview to understand the problem, develop a problem-solving plan, solve the problem, and conduct a review in the given problem-solving process. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The subjects taken were 6 students of class XII SMK in a school in Karawang Regency. The instrument consists of solving the problem of function material which was adopted from the teaching materials of the 2017 revised edition of the curriculum compulsory textbook. The data analysis technique used consists of 3 stages, namely analyzing the results of students' answers, presenting the results of data analysis, and making conclusions from the results of data analysis of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The result of this article is to provide an overview of solving SPLTV material which is carried out related to everyday problems related to mathematics.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between math anxiety in each dimension to students' mathematical concept comprehension ability in SPLTV material. The subjects of this study were 38 students of class X science 1 at SMAN 2 Telukjambe Timur. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The instrument in this study is in the form of a 6-question description test instrument containing indicators of understanding concepts and 30 items of math anxiety questionnaires. The analytical techniques used are data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. And from the results of the study, the average score of class X science 1 students of SMAN 2 Telukjambe Timur was obtained in the math anxiety questionnaire on the cognitive, attic, and somatic dimensions successively of 23.41; 27.25; and 11.56pm. And the average value of mathematical concept comprehension ability is 49.89. It was also found that math anxiety has an influence on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts, with the opposite direction of influence.
